we played hide and seek until dawn. I had a lot of fun since adulthood was always rough.

"well I have to go now, see ya next time!!" said Alex.

"Sure, next time" I said with slight disappointment in my voice.

Alex started running home with an expression that seemed as if he was saying "I hope I don't miss dinner."

I laughed at that thought and started t wal home too.

"Where were you for so long?" I heard a voice from the front of my house.

"uhh, hi mom." I said.

My mom looked at me with a confused expression on her face. I noticed that and smiled awkwardly at that hoping that she wouldn't suspect anything.

" You still haven't answered my question, where were you for so long?" She asked once more as she tapped her right foot on the ground as a sign of impatience.

"I was playing hide and seek with Alex." I said while scratching the back of my head.

" Oh relax brother, you aren't in trouble. She was just worried." A little girls voice appeared to break the tension. I recognized that voice right away. That has to be my sister.

"Hey June." I said excitedly.

"Come on, dinners ready!!" June replied while jumping and rushing me into the house.

I looked at the dinner table filled with food and the floor with no broken plates or burnt food.

I smiled slightly and thought in my head, "Yeah, good times when I don't have to eat Ethan's cooking."
