Lei pulled up to an abandoned factory basically in the middle of nowhere. As she walked in people bowed in respect of her and she headed down to the cells. Hailey was already waiting there for her with 5 men sitting on the floor with their hands and feet hooked to chains. The men all had deep gashes all over their body and their faces were badly bruised.

“Hmmm, so are we going to do this the easy way or the hard way?” Lei said as she walked towards one and grabbed their chin and turned their head so that she could see the wounds on each side.

Before Lei got there she got reports of the five men that were there, but this one, she could work with this one. “ Hailey, I want the company cleaned within 2 hours, I want to return there after I’m done here”

“On it” Hailey left the room leaving just Lei and the prisoners alone. “ Guo Hou, kicked out from a rich family due to an incident that wasn’t even your fault, you started to gamble in order to try and make money, but now, you are in debt, being chased after by many people”

Lei stated in a calm manner, the guy opened his eyes to look at her as she held up his head. “What do you want” the prisoner stated coldly. “Oh don’t speak like that to me, I just want to help, I could help you get tour sister out of that family and to live with you, I could help pay off all your debts, and I could also give you a well paying job and help you climb to the top. Trust me, I can do a lot of things, but now, now my mood is spoiled so maybe not. Lei turned around in order to head to the next person in the cell next to this one.

“W-wait, what do you get from it?”

Lei stopped and smirked, “oh you’re a smart boy aren’t you? Well of course I would need a little bit of information from you, so what do you say?”

“...”

“I’ll give you some time to think about it, but I don’t like waiting for too long” Lei continued walking and closed the cell, locking it. Lei walked out of the room that held the prisoners. “Kill the other four and throw them out, but leave #1 to me, make sure to treat him well, and treat his wounds why don’t you, they look pretty bad.” Lei stated to one of the bodyguards outside of the room. The bodyguard nodded and went inside the room. “Miss the company is cleared out” Hailey informed Lei. “Okay, I have to make a quick stop but I’ll be there in a little bit” Hailey nodded and she followed me out of the building.

Lei headed towards her grandpa’s house because he texted her earlier that he had something to tell her.

Lei pulled up and saw that there was a car there, Grandpa never drives himself, he always has someone drive him if he needed to go somewhere, so he didn’t need a car, but now there was one there. Lei got out of her car and headed inside. “Grandpa?” She yelled. No answer, so she checked the office, not there, The bedroom? Nope. “I’m in the kitchen sweetie” Lei let out a sigh of releif, she had gotten worried for a second. “You worried me grandpa, I couldn’t find you”

Lei turned the corner to walk into the kitchen Grandpa was standing there with a young man, he looked a few years older than me, quite handsome, he had dark brown hair gelled up, with defined cheekbones and jawline. ‘What are you up to Grandpa’ Lei thought. “Who is this Grandpa?” Lei went to stand next to grandpa.

“Honey this is Mr. Caldwell, he’s the CEO of the biggest corporation in C Country” Lei didn’t smile but extended her hand to shake his, he accepted. “Nice to meet you Ms.Lu”

Lei smiled and nodded, but inside she cringed at her last name, she really needed to either get rid of the Lu family or change her last name, is what she thought. Grandpa smiled and said “I need to use the restroom, make yourselves at home” Lei looked at Grandpa then back to Mr. Caldwell.

“So I heard you work in a corporation in town, which one?”

“Look, Mr. Caldwell, I don’t know why my Grandfather called you over, but I’m not interested, I don’t want to get your hopes up, so there’s no need for small talk. I will take my leave now, it was nice meeting you, I’m sure we will meet again in the future.” Lei turned around to leave the room but was stopped when a hand grabbed her wrist. “First off, you don’t get to speak to me like that, second off, don’t think so highly of yourself, I didn’t come here to seduce you, and lastly what did you mean when you said you were sure we would meet again in the future, what do I not know about you?”

“Ha, let me tell you” Lei shook his hand off from her wrist, “first, don’t touch me” Lei walked closer “second, don’t think so highly of yourself to to think that you can just control everyone” Lei grabbed his chin and since he was a few inches taller than her even with her heels on she made him look down at her “and lastly” Lei stood up on her tippy-toes and whispered “you know nothing about me” Lei smirked and took her chance to leave while he stood there in shock and confusion. “Tell my Grandfather I had to do something, goodbye Mr.Caldwell” and with that Lei left.

Once in her car Lei said to herself, “That guy sure has a damn lot of guts, thinks he’s so damn high and mighty.” And with that Lei headed towards the company.
