"I'm sorry, Kyle. This would never happened if I never let you go." Isabelle cried out while hugging Kyle.

"What are you talking about?" Kyle asked.

"If I didn't broke up with you, I would never be this defensive of everyone. I would never have this fear in me. I'm sorry, Kyle."she said while hugging her tightly.

Kyle pats her head and said, "My Isabelle, you are always in my heart and we never broke up and never will."

Isabelle lifter her head to see Kyle but was greeted by a kiss.

Kyle caress her face with his warm palms,"Now, my Isabelle. Now is our chance to fix it. Let's fix this."

Isabelle snotted. Kyle bursted into laughter.

"My, my,my... you never changed, fatso." Kyle said.

"Hey! that's harsh, it would never be like this if you didn't scolded me." Isabelle said while wiping her snot.

"Now,now. Come here, I really missed my Isabelle. No matter how you snot or you get ugly. I will still love you." Kyle said.

"Kyle, I want us to fix this but I still have things to do. So can you please wait?" Isabelle said and clasped Kyle's hands to her face and showing a puppy eyes.

Kyle's heart skipped a beat.

"How could I say no.. seriously, what is it that you'll have to fix?" Kyle asked.

"Uhm, it is about.... Well, something related to my mother's history here in school and I am finding answers. This school feels like calling me always. Something needs to be found." Isabelle said seriously.

"Are you sure that won't be dangerous?" Kyle asked again.

"Nope, I'll just needed knowledge that's all. If ever I'll be in danger, I know you will come to save me, right?" Isabelle said while hugging him

"Uhm, uh... kinda." Kyle teased her again.

Isabelle gave her a stern face.

"Kidding, of course. I will protect you but promise me to tag you along whenever you went out, okay?" Kyle said.

Isabelle nodded then Kyle licked her left neck and bite it.

"Ouch! what are you doing?" Isabelle said.

"That's our deal mark." he said.

"There are you are." Khalel said and heading to Kyle and Isabelle.

"I've been calling you for ages. Why didn't you answered?" Khalel asked Kyle.

"Now that you found us, no need to be worry, bro." Kyle said happily.

This happy expression of Kyle gave his brother a weird aura. He never seen his brother smiled that way after he left for the medical mission and went back home.

Isabelle was sent back to her dorm by Kyle and his brother.

Isabelle felt flying on a cloud nine after their heart to heart talk with Kyle. So she opened her family's picture frame and smiled.

That very night, while she was light sleeping. A memory of her childhood appeared again. It was her mom talking to her but she cannot understand. Even his father she cannot heard what they were talking about and she kept asking them, "what they are talking about? She can't hear it. Then the mysterious man appeared behind him, if you had chosen me Isabella, life would be much happier than that. Now, I'm giving you the chance to choose me again. Then a never seen death of her mom appeared. Her mom was holding a brooch stained with blood. The brooch is somehow familiar. 'She tried to look closer on it but it gets blur the more she tried to force it.'

Her phone rang and vibrated that awaken her. Cherry had called her five times.

"Hey, Cherry!" she greeted.

"Where are you? We are waiting outside the dorm half an hour for you! We will be late!" Cherry was screaming on the line.

"Oh, okay, okay. I'm enjoying my breakfast, I'll be there after twenty minutes." she said and put it off.

After 15 minutes, she appeared running to them.

"Hi guys! Let's go." she said while running towards them.

In the middle of their lunch, Isabelle heard a woman shouted that she spilled the strawberry juice on her uniform.

"Woah! what's the matter?"Cherry was shocked.

"I got frightened by the woman's scream." Isabelle said.

"Eh? woman's scream?" Cherry asked again.

Kyle looked at Isabelle with a 'what?' look.

"Uhm, we didn't heard a scream, Sabby.", Cherry replied.

Isabelle looked at Kyle with a 'also you?' look.

"Yup, we didn't heard a scream. In this noisy canteen." Kyle said.

"I heard it, it was a woman's scream." Isabelle said.

"Maybe you're just thinking too much, Sabby. Here eat more sweets to lighten up your mood." Cherry said and give her a handful of candies.

After school, Kyle joined a guild in school and the audition will happen after school. Cherry was also went home because her brother from the medical mission just came back home and she will be spending her night her home. Isabelle was left alone walking the hallway going to the citadel where Kyle's audition will take place. On her way, she heard again the scream of the woman and it gets louder some what like Isabelle gets nearer to the source of sound. She wanted to run but she don't know where to go. Her knees felt weak that she bended her one knee while the right knee is knelt on the ground and after the scream she heard the lady crying while footsteps are going to her.

"K....Kyle...hh...help." she stuttered shaking but can't move as the footsteps gets louder like the pumping of her heart, feeling that the footsteps came from behind her position right now. Suddenly the footsteps stopped.

Kyle got anxious without seeing Isabelle around. He felt peculiar. So, he went after his audition to find her.

Isabelle dialed Kyle's phone but did not speak any words because she can't speak. Her tongue felt stiff.

A big hand suddenly blocked her sight. and she can felt a man's breath on her right ear.

"Are you here to find me, my Isabelle?" this man whispered on her ear.

"Who... who are you?" she asked courageously.

The man continues blocking her sight while he was rubbing Isabelle's hair.

"I know you still love me. You may don't remember me but your heart does. This is not the time to tell you the truth. Bye for now, my Isabelle." the man said and left.

From where she squats, she heard Kyle calling her.

"Isabelle! what happened?" the worried tone of Kyle. showed on her face.

Isabelle just hugged him immediately and cried out.

"I'm scared, Kyle but I'm curious. Don't ask me anything." she said while hugging him.

After Kyle sent her back to her dorm, he immediately called her while she was heading to her room.

"Seriously? I'm inside the dorm now. No need to monitor me, Kyle. You sounded like I'm a criminal under surveillance." Isabelle said while she chuckled later on.

The next day, Isabelle heard again the screaming woman and the scream sounded like going to the library. There is a restriction door that only authorized personnel are aloud.

Isabelle is scared but she need to find out more about it. She can guess that the sound from that door was like someone is being raped and a moment later was abandoned but what's more disturbing she saw blood running outside from that door.

She covered her mouth and about to puke. The knob suddenly turned.

"Isabelle? Why are staring at that door? We are not allowed to enter that." Cherry reminded her.

Outside, she saw Khalel waiting for them.

"Hi, big brother Khalel. What brought you here?" Cherry asked and she's blushing.

"Well, I would like to invite you to have my last dinner with my brother and his friends." Khalel said with a charm.

"Last dinner?" I asked again.

"Uhm, yeah. I'll be leaving tomorrow for the medical mission." he replied.

"My brother just got back home, so why are you leaving?" Cherry asked.

"Well, I received another job order from another company and I somehow wanted improve my skill in negotiating my patients." Khalel said.

"So what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Isabelle said.

"But Kyle is not her yet. Would you mind Isabelle take this chance to fetch him for me?" Khalel said.

"No problem.I'll take it from here. So, where is he now? Isabelle asked.

"As far as I remembered, he said he will be in the information office." Khalel said.

"I'll take it from here, thanks." Isabelle said and excitedly walked to the hallway. She is blushing thinking of their past memories of Kyle but then she heard the same scream again but this time it's as if in the library door. Then there's a loud bang and a crying woman kept scratching the wooden door.

Isabelle stopped walking and she can't move anymore. The thumping sound of her is getting louder and louder. She can't even scream and the only word she can utter is Kyle.

Out of nowhere, Kyle hugged him from the back. "You're safe now. I'll always be here with you." he said to her while massaging the tips of her fingers. She came back to her senses and fell down from her knees and cried forcefully. A cry of regret and pain of not knowing can be heard from her.

Cherry called Kyle. "Where the heck are you? We're waiting in the car! Hello! And I'm hungry. Please hurry up."

"Alright, alright we'll be coming." Kyle said.

"Where's Sabby?" she asked. "Here, why? I'm sorry , I'll explain you when we get there." she replied.

They both stood and Kyle hold her hands while looking on her hands mustering some courage to take a breathe and speak out.

"Isabella, I know you're troubled by something I don't know and it pains me to see you like that. Knowing I'm your man whom should protect you. Instead, left you behind that is why in this encounter I would like to ask a second chance to prove myself to you. " Kyle said.
