Prologue - End of Summer

" Calling the attention of Anne Isabelle Candela, Anne Isabelle Candela, please report now to the Principal's office right now. "

The sound of this annoying announcer keeps repeating my name.

It made me wonder why would the Principal would call me out of a sudden. I always pass all the activities in the class. Why oh why?

I clench my fist to muster my courage and shake away the cowardliness after a deep breath. I entered to the office. Knocks first then opened the door slowly.

"Good afternoon Sir, I am.... what are you doing here?" I asked in doubt after seeing my ex-boyfriend, Kyle Zach Debussy.

"Why? Am I not allowed to come here? You didn't own this school." Kyle replied after seeing me.

"Ms. Candela, please take a seat first." Principal Spencer said showing a hand gesture of letting me seat near the selfish man.

The principal looked on Kyle then me and crossed her hands. He looks serious at this time. Even his necktie is properly tied not the past days.

"Let's get this straight. Ms. Candela, I had noticed that you always topped in the class and your school promotion for the school is nice. This Mr. Debussy had been kicked out from his previous school and transferred here. I want you to monitor and be his tutor for this school semester." he explained.

"Uhm, Sir Spencer. Isn't that the duty of the teachers?" I asked out.

"I had tried that method before but it didn't worked because the life of a teacher is different from a student. I suggest that student to student method will be more appropriate." Sir Spencer said in a serious mode.

"But..." I didn't finished my sentence.

Kyle stood and handshakes the principal, "Thank you Mr. Spencer for accepting me. I promise to do my best and won't fail you because you believed in me."

"That's good to hear Kyle, so if there's nothing more you two may leave and go with your classes.I have some work to do. " he said then we left the office.

Good thing, the school bell had already rung and every student is in their rooms.

There was an awkward silence between Kyle and me.

"So, was this part of your plan, KYLE?" I asked with sarcasm.

He looked at me then,"You got fatter and dwarfer."

"It's none of your business! Answer my question!?" I replied.

He suddenly goes near to my ear lobe and whispered, "You turned me on more, My little Isabelle."

Those words still gives me hear palpitations so I moved a distance.

"Know your limits, Kyle. Even though we used to be lovers it had already ended two years ago." I replied.

"Oh, really? I didn't remembered you told me that before." he replied sneakily and kissed my cheek in a flash. I was dumb strucked of what had just happened.

"See? My kiss still stops you from talking to much." he replied confidently.

"The heck!.." I wanted to punch him but he evaded it and instead caught my hand and pulled closer to him.

"Say another word, and there would be a second kiss. " he was threatening me.

I dared not to talk to so he smiled and kissed my forehead. The heck! Kyle why does your kisses makes me crave for more!

I grabbed back my hand and asked him in a serious tone, "Why are you here? Is it still with your, father?"

"This is not yet the right time for you to know, have patience, my little Isabelle." he said and walked away.

At that moment I felt he was hiding something from me. I can see from his eyes the sadness that he is been hiding.

What had really happened at the end of summer?

One time during a recess break, I don't know why am I buying a puto cheese and a sprite. I was walking pass by Kyle's room I had heard guys talking outside.

"Damn! So he's that ill-bred. He's handsome but a dangerous man. Let's better not engaged with him or else we would be in trouble." I heard one of the man said.

It makes me wonder why on earth he became a dangerous person? He was a good student just like me that's why we had been in love once. I am more curious of what happened to him.

"Uhm, excuse me miss, you're blocking the door." One of the students said.

I came back to reality, "Oh, I'm sorry."

I was embarrassed at that moment then I realized all of the students are looking at me even Kyle.

I rushed to him and handed to him the snacks the. said, "If you are always this lazy, you will get sick! At least have some self love." I blurted out the. left.

After a week, I noticed Kyle smiles more often and looks like his classmates doesn't fear him anymore.He had gathered more friends in the class. But he always gave me a grin Everytime we see each other.

One month passed, I had sent a narrative progress of Kyle to the school counseling office. Kyle was waiting for me outside but instead of approaching me like a normal person he snatched me suddenly.

"Kyle! What is the matter with you? I ... " he cut me again and kissed me on the lips. I stomped his foot.

"Ssshhhhshshshshshs... " the only word he said.

"Listen, Isabelle. You really wanted to know what happened that end of summer?" he said seriously.

"Spill it." I said in eagerness.

"I'll accompany you to your house tonight and I'll tell everything." he said.

"Why not tell here." I asked.

"This is a public place. Let's go. " he said then grabbed my hand.

Before, we used to ride on his car but this time we are commuting.

"What happened to your car?" I asked.

"I'll tell you later." he said.

"How about your favorite bag?" I asked again.

"Later." he got pissed this time.

But I wondered why I still didn't have the power to go against him.

When we arrived home, my parents didn't know that we had broken up and I didn't told them yet. So when they saw him again they are so very happy to see them again. My parents also knew that he would only come to my house for tutor.

So, we are now in my room.

"Don't touch anything... Okay, you can tell me now." We are sitting in the carpet.

He was about to talked when my phone rang. It was Stacey. She just wanted to chat me for a while.

On the other hand, Kyle had memorized my things. He even opened the undergarments and smelled my panties.

After I dropped the call, I gave him a but slap.

"Hey! you pervert! put it back!" I shouted.

"I really missed the scent of this panties... and oh! your ****** are bigger that before...oh! heaven." he keeps ignoring me so I gave him a head knock.

In serious mode, he told me, " Remember that day when we saved a young girl. She was the daughter of my father's friend. As their way of showing thanks for saving her life. They both agreed to arranged a marriage for us at the right age. After learning this one, I am so against this one because I had you and I started to become distant to you and thinking of how I will say this you. I feel hopeless. After you transferred a school, I become even more rebellious to my parents. My father almost disowned me and get all my favorite stuffs and then he transferred me to my wet nurse, Birren. I didn't know that you transferred here. Msybe this the time I should explain everything thing to you."

"So, how about the young girl?" I asked.

"She confessed to me that she liked me also. I turned her down and she flew to States." He said.

He removed his shirt, I closed my eyes but he said to look at it. There were scars all over his back.

Those are whip scars I did myself regretting for not telling you.

"I... I'm sorry. Kyle, after we had break up. I am trying to love myself this time. So please, don't disturb me in this life." I said to him.

"We never broke up! If you want that self-love, I'll give it to you but you can't have another man Unless I die." he said.
