5: Piano memories

Andrew shows Jay various rooms and halls that have their own unique themes and layouts. Despite that, everything seemed to flow well together. Nothing seemed out of place. In Jays eyes, the house was truly amazing

Alright, this is the last room besides my bedroom of course it’s nothing special really, just a grand piano

Andrew quickly opened the door and closed it in a matter of seconds thinking Jay would have little interest in the instrument

*GASP* WAIT, please! Allow me to see it up close

Andrew Alpin (ML)

Ah sure, please enter *opens the door again*

Wow, no way!!! Is that a Bösendorfer Imperial Concert Grand piano? *gets close to piano to inspect it*

Well yeah, but it was custom made so it’s technically one of a kind. Do you like pianos?

Yes! I really do! Wow, just look at that gold hardware. Wait, is that actual gold? The keys, they must be real ivory, right!? I’m sure the wood must be one of a kind as well!

Andrew Alpin (ML)

Yes, yes, and yes 😆 I didn’t expect you to get so worked up about a piano. Do you know how to play it?

Ah sorry, I guess I did make a pretty big deal about it. I will calm down now 😅

No, it’s okay, really. I actually find it pretty cute

Yeah I do! Well I guess it would be more accurate to say I did. My mom taught me how when I was younger. I even used to play in competitions and concerts. Well that all ended when….when my…my mom…she ah..*eyes begin to water with tears*

Hey, are you okay? You don’t seem well

Umm, it’s nothing. She just past away 3 years ago. I was was forbidden by my father to play the piano ever since *clearly not feeling okay*

Jay…I…I’m so sorry. I had no idea. If I would have known I wouldn’t have mentioned it

*sniff* no it’s okay, really *fake smile*. I should be over it by now, but it’s still heard to think about *tear roles out*

Ah dang it. You are the last person I ever wanted to cry in front of *tries to cover eyes*

Hey *gently grabs Jays hands* you should never feel as though you have to hide your emotions in front of me. In fact, when you’re with me, you should be able to feel comfortable just being yourself

💭Ah, why does seeing him in tears makes my heart hurt so bad. I can’t help but want to soothe him and dry his tears

Jay stays in Andrews embrace for what feels like hours, but really it was about a minute

Umm, I know this sounds a bit ironic considering what I just told you but do you think you can play a little for me

Umm, how about Clair de Lune from Debussy? That’s the one I know best

Sure, I actually know that one but you will still have to help me out *places Jays hands on the piano keys*. Are you ready?

Andrew and Jay begin playing the piano in perfect unison, almost as if they have practice doing it before. Jay was especially impressed with himself as it had been 3 years since he’s even laid eyes on a piano, yet it came so naturally to him. It felt like he never stopped playing

Wow, that really gave me flashbacks to when my mom and I would play together. She would always play Clair de Lune just before nap time. Oh how I miss those days *tear rolls down again*

Dang it Jay *cups Jays head with his hands* if I would have know it would make you cry again I wouldn’t have agreed to this. You have no idea how much it pains me to see you in tears

*sniff* I’m sorry. I just couldn’t help it. I’m really thankful though. I think this reignited my love for music again. *suddenly relises that Andrew is starting into his eyes*

Umm an…Andrew? (💭 OMG ARE WE ABOUT TO KISS. I guess I should close my eyes right? Ah im so nervous, this is my first time)

*notices that Jay closed his eyes* (💭 hmm, he’s not pulling away. I suppose it’s okay the )

Andrew and Jay are now only millimeters apart. Andrew caresses Jays cheek to wipe his tears while Jay turns red as a tomato. Their lips are close. Jay can now feel Andrews warm and peppermint breath. They are about to finally lock lips when suddenly…

Ms. Cain (Maid)

*opens the doors loud and wide* Hello master, dinner is now ready and served in the dinning hall

Andrew and Jay quickly look towards the door where Ms. Cain is waiting for further instructions. Without a seconds delay they quickly pull themselves apart. Andrew stands up and is already at the door. Jay remains on the piano bench mortified by what just happened

Um, I’m going to use the bathroom real quick. Please show him to the dinning hall
