Chapter 9: Holi Special ( Celebration Of Colors)

Melina and Murat were both shocked when Mahira advised them to marry each other in terms of the marriage contract. They both were uncomfortable with each other and their first impression towards each other were also disgusting for that reason they were not ready to make such unpleasant agreement with each other. The next day Melina was also invited in Murat’s home to celebrate the occasion of Holi. Melina agreed to join them as she was requested by the client herself to observe their family traditions and cultures.

Mahira: Hi Melina i am really glad that you have come here.

Melina: Yeah actually I thought that it would be a great opportunity for me to join and observe the traits of these family. So that i can take some tips and ideas to indulge in the wedding arrangements.

Mean while Murat appears there and happens to hear all their conversations.

Murat: What? How many times have i said you that i dont want to marry but, why cant this stupid girl understand my words.

Melina: Excuse me Mr. From which angle do you see me as a stupid girl.

Murat: Basically there is no such angle from where i can see you normal right now.

Melina: Aaaii, mind your language, dont force me to become rude with you. You are my client and for that sake i am being kind with you but if you dare to speak any nonsense from onwards you will regret your words later.

Murat: Mahira see how this girl is instead of helping me she puts me into trouble and the one who is putting me on this trouble is eligible in your eyes to marry me. Really?

Melina: Hey, hey you. What do you think of yourself.

Mahira: Ohh stop, stop it guys. Now dont start to fight like kids right now.

Murat: She is the one who started it..

Melina: What? He is the one indeed who started it..

Murat: God from which planet do these creatures come from.

Melina: Where ever i come from, how does it effects you. Mind your own business it should not matter even i come from any planet like Pluto.

Murat: See this stupid. Is Pluto a planet. Really are you serious?

Melina: So what, i am a commerce student so i dont know much about subjects related to science.

Murat: Ow low IQ madam. Those are the subjects related to Geography not science.

Melina: Oh ok fine. What?? How dare you call me low IQ Mr. Chimpanzee.

Murat: Early man what nonsense. Hey Mahira say this low IQ how charming i am, do you think i look like any Chimpanzee Mahira?

Mahira: Ummm mm actually. ( bursts her laugh)

Melina: So you see a Chimpanzee is talking about an IQ. You should be in a zoo rather than this house.

Murat: Ok and you should be in a mental asylum.

Mahira: Guys today is the occasion of happiness. Dont fight and spoil the celebration. Do not mind because today is Holi.

Mahira puts holi in Murats and Melinas faces and runs fast as possible. They both take the colours of holi in their hands and run behind Mahira to catch hold of her. While running after Mahira Murat bashes with Niya and Niya takes him along with her. There Melina meets Mrs. Derya and she takes Melina along with her to introduce Melina to her kitty party friends.

Niya: Murat lets have this drink lassi baby.

Murat: No i dont want. I am okay.

Niya: Drink with me na. What

happened to you are you sick today?

Murat: Umm mm yeah that is why i dont have the mood to drink or eat anything today.

Niya: Ok yeah it happens with me to. But do you know whenever i feel like that i sing. Which lifts up my mood.

Murat: What singing?

Niya: Yes to cheer up your mood.

As soon as Niya opens her mouth to sing Murat drinks the lassi to save himself from her ugly high pitched voice. There with Melina Mrs. Derya and her friends insist her to take the lassi along with them. Melina could not deny and even she end up drinking the lassi with them. But both of them didnt had any idea that the lassi which they had drank had bhang( alcoholic substance) in it. Mahira starts to find Murat and Melina as she could not find them from almost an hour.

Mahira: Niya have you seen Murat.

Niya: Hahaahha Murat see Murat is with me . (Hugging a solid pillar beam around her arms being alcoholic she thought it was Murat)

Mahira: What are you drink Mahira.

Niya: (hiccupping) Really are you drunk Mahira. Bad gir rl you should not drink.

Mahira then approaches to Mrs. Derya to ask about Melina.

Mahira: Mrs Derya have you seen Melina.

Derya: What did you said Mahira.

Mahira: Did you see Melina around.

Derya: Yes i know i know.

Mahira: Yes where is she Mrs Derya.

Derya: Yes she is....( she fells asleep in between her talk due to access of drinking bhang)

Mahira: Now from where am i going to find them two. As today evening is the last day of getting the marriage contract paper signed.

Basically the court was only opened till the evening. As from the next day the staff members of that court were planning to have their personal demand strike which would close the court for some days ahead. Mahira gets tired after searching them and lastly she ends up resting in the back yard where all those people who cherished bhang were enjoying their pleasurable time. Mean while when she was seeing those people dancing. She finds two of them dancing amidst that crowd with their hangover.

After their performances, Melina gets a call from her aunty.

Aunty: Hey are you preparing for your in laws to meet you there?

Melina: What ? What I could not hear?

Aunty: They have postpone the date to next week as they said that they had some work this week.

Melina: Thank God.

Aunty: Don’t be so much relieved but I have insisted to come fast as they could.

Melina: Arghhh aunty. You are so evil woman.

Aunty: What? Melina what did you said. Are you akay? Or is it I heard something wrong.

Melina: Yes bitch I am talking to you keep your mouth shut. And listen I don’t want to get married with him and it’s final.

Aunty: Arry but why is it? Give me a reason beta...

Melina cuts the phone in extreme hangover and anger. There with Murat, Niya tries to pull him but he instead pushes her back resulting her fall back to her mother Derya.

Derya: What happened Niya are you fine.( In hangover )

Niya: Aunty somethng like an animal came towards me and pushed me back.( In hangover)

Derya: Really where is it dear?

Niya: I don’t know where it has gone but it pushed me hardly.

Derya: What kind of animal was that?

Niya: I can’t remember properly but it was looking like a chimpanzee.

Mahira caught both of them and she found both of them complaining about their marriage partners. Then Mahira gives them the solution.

Mahira: See guys there is only a single way to get rid of this problem.

Melina: what is it?

Mahira: You both should consent and make a contract agreement of marriage.

Murat: Again you are telling the same thing which I don’t like. I don’t want to get married now.

Mahira: Then who is saying you to get you married.

Melina: You.

Mahira: No it is not an actual marriage it is only a marriage in front of your in-laws but behind your back you two are not having any relation.

Murat: You mean we have to enact like a married couple.

Mahira: Exactly and no one will force you to get married and after certain time you can take divorce when ever you want to end the play act.

Melina: Really. But it does not sound bad to me.

Murat: Me too.

Mahira: So if you want I can organize a fake marriage contract for you.

Murat: ok.

Melina: But we can later break this contract right.

Mahira: Yes. So guys let’s hurry fast and I will register your names on the contract marriage in the court. Let’s go.

Then Mahira takes Melina and Murat to the nearest court where they register their names and signature in the marriage contract as per their consent and mutual agreement before the court.
