In 1999, at that time, I was a 22 -year -old Junior Lieutenant, in the 16th battalion of RAMD, assigned to work on border security operations. We entered Op Pagar. It's called Op Pagar because we are right on the edge of the Malaysia-Thailand border fence.
Parallel to the fence, there is a mini tar road that connects the military control posts. There used to be 13 military deployment posts at that time (now I don't know how many there are). The head of my company is stationed at post no 10, right at the end of the Mardi Bukit Tangga farm, behind UUM.
I was placed at post no 11 (now the post is closed). So our position is right on the edge of the forest on the national border. Post 11 is unique, there are 6 inn huts made of wood with zinc roof, which can accommodate only 2 people per hut. It's like a durian waiting hut, only with walls and a small wooden bed.
There are no water pipes, only rainwater and small wells. If it doesn't rain, we drink and take a shower using the murky well. There is no electricity, there is only a small generator, which is installed only 3 hours every night to save fuel supply. So day and night our post only sounds like the sounds of the forest as entertainment. We sat there for 2 months. That is the name of sacrifice.
(About the tasks in the operation, I don't need a story. We're just focusing on the langusir story, huh?)
After a week of sitting there, it didn't rain at all, the water problem was critical. So I looked for a source of water around the post. Coincidentally, there is a tributary that is 150m from the post but in the forest. The water in the alor is very small, it only melts as big as a thumb. I also instructed all my platoon to do gotong royong to build a small water dam with trees for the water reservoir. After 3 days, prepare our small ‘dam’, 1 meter deep. The size is only two yards. You can take a shower and cook water.
One night, around 8 pm, after the generator was on, two of my men in the dark went to the water catchment to get water to cook. Arriving there, they lit a torch, saw a long -haired woman, squatting and 'chewing' the carcass of a frog! With full blood in his mouth and body. Moreover, my men were shocked and ran away. They told me that, I just kept quiet and didn't say anything.
After the generator closed at 9 pm, the post became very dark ... I tried to sleep but couldn't because my heart felt restless. Suddenly ... there was a soft but scary voice, I heard behind the wooden wall of my hut ... "Fitriiiiiii .... fitriiiiii ... mariiiii ... fitriiii ..."
Immediately I got up and reached for my M16 carbine in the dark. I jerked, "Hoiiiii !!!" Then the thing went away while evaluating eiiiii eiiiik eikkkkkk eeiiiii .. my heart was pounding, what did I think I got this!
I shouted to the guard who was in charge of guarding the post at night, “Guard! Who is on duty now? ” Silent, no reply. I called again ... silent again. “Ishhh, where did my soldier go. Are you dead? ” Seconds of my heart. I grabbed a flashlight, walked to the guard post. Laa, he's apparently asleep. The fatigue of patrolling during the day was that .. Hmmmm ..
The next day, when I wanted to take a shower in the morning, I went down to the place. That's right, there are some frog carcasses that have been bitten and crushed. I looked up to see the condition of the trees around there while listening to the quiet atmosphere ... “oh, apparently I have the wrong place for this dam. That's right, I forgot. It was foggy when looking for the source of the water, until I forgot to follow the tips. Oops .. good luck. Just go ahead "
That night, my OC, Major Rosli bin Hassan, who was at post no 10 called me to his post for a meeting. Damn, he's far from me, that night. Don't I want to walk on a mini tar in the middle of a dark forest alone? Oops ...
Major Rosli called me by military radio, told me to go to his place for a meeting. I want it or not, I have to go even if I have to walk alone. Allegiance me as a Malay soldier, my boss obey orders. At 8.30 pm, I brought my M16 weapon, I started walking on the mini tar road for 2 km towards post no 10.
I brought a flashlight, but I didn't even use it, because I didn't want to attract wild animals. So I walked in the dark, using only the crescent light. While walking on the mini tar road, the left and right is just a forest, suddenly it sounds ... prakkkk prakk, the sound of twigs being broken. I stop. Looking left and right, I'm worried about wild animals. I grabbed my weapon and ready, I didn't move. I noticed right left and right.
Suddenly .. in front of me, about 50 meters above the tar road, I saw a figure like a woman standing. Allahhhhhuakbar! I quickly turned on the lights and flashlights. Oh my God ... langsuir! Standing upright with long hair in the middle of the road blocking my way to Major Rosli's post. In my heart, "aaahh I've got it this time". I started to get scared.
I keep remembering the knowledge my teacher gave me. I knelt on the ground, my two ring fingers stabbed to the ground. I took a breath and read "a'uzubi kalimatillahi ttammatimin syarri ma kholaq" 3 times, al fatihah 1 time, read 3 qul, and read innaja'alna fia’naqihim ... until the end .. (verses 8-9 of surah yasin). After that I inhale, hold, I wipe my eyebrows with my ring finger, wipe my face with my palms and reach to my chest.
I clapped both my hands to the ground and shouted Allahu akbar !! I kept getting up to stand up straight. Lose the fear, continue to be fierce like a tiger. My breath in my nose was so hot and my eyes were so sharp. I saw that the curtain was still standing. I was so angry I kept running after him. The langsuir continued to fly towards the forest.
I stopped chasing him, my chest going up and down. I continue to recite the breath of the saints .. Ya Rahman when inhaling, and Ya Rahim when exhaling. Calm your heartbeat. I continued to walk forward while my fingers gripped my weapon tightly. Mouth and breath continue to recite dhikr .. yes rahman .. yes rohim ..
After arriving at Major Rosli's place, he invited me to drink tea and eat cake. Laaa .. I reminded him to call a meeting, apparently he was bored and just wanted to ask me to share a Hindustani story with him. At that time, a VCD of Kuch Kuch Hota's story was just released. Hey .. alas, I patted my forehead, wait a minute, he's my boss.
So I also serve hindustan stories with him. Just finished, he also connected with Dil To Pagal Hey. It's okay where he is, there are two generators, there is a lot of oil stock, so you can stay on the generator until late at night.
At 2 in the morning, all the Hindustani stories are over. I asked for help from Major Rosli to send me back to my place. Luckily for him for his land rover. Otherwise, I had to walk back to my place. Major Rosli's driver and another member of the army, sent me home at 2.30am. Congratulations ... 😅
Some nights there was no disturbance .. but, one night after that, in the pitch dark, while I was sleeping soundly in my hut, suddenly something fell on my zinc roof. Gedegummm it sounds. I'm awake. Then the sound on the zinc roof of my men, too, thunder! It also rumbled to other huts. The appraising sound started loud eeeiiikk eeiii eeeeiikkk. I reached for the M16 gun and headed straight out of the hut. I saw my men coming out of their huts. Woe to the langusir. He jumped from roof to roof while judging!
"Sir, here sir!" My men called me. I quickly pointed the torch in the direction he pointed. We saw Langsuir hugging a tall tree trunk while looking down at us with a fierce face. I read “kaf ha ya a’in sod .. ha mim a’in sin qof” ... I kept shooting him. Pommm! He disappeared from view. "Quickly open the generator, turn on all the lights!" I direct. Look at the clock, 2 o'clock in the morning. Ah, these are all problems, I as the leader, have to find a way. If not, how can we sit here for a 2 month operation!
The next night, I sat alone and started reading the verses of the Quran as taught by my teacher. I called the head of the Muslim jinn I met when I was operating Gubir in the forest of Ahning Dam, Kedah (read the previous story) .. He arrived at my hut, with a fragrant smell, greeted me and talked to me .. He agreed to send the Muslim jinn helped me control the area while I was busy doing operational work there.
Since then, there has been no more interference from the langusir. At the end of two months of operation, I returned to the camp in Kelantan, and the Muslim jinn also returned to their places. What happened to the person who operated after me, I don't know. Be smart, they carry themselves. (For personal reasons, I had severed all ties with all the Islamic jinn at the Jin Mosque, Mecca during my umrah in 2013.....
