The Treasures Of The Sea.
The beginning.
Our three students finish their breakfast and return to the university to attend their classes.
For their surprise, the new lecturer that was temporarily replacing their old mentor starts the lecture with a strange affirmation: "Do you believe in fairytales?"
All the students start to get agitated, asking themselves all sorts of questions one more bizarre than the other.
Voice: Mr. Shan, what do you mean by that? We're grown ups now, no one believes in them anymore!
Mr. Shan
Even the grown up people like to dream from time to time. This is also a step to reality!
Sean
What do you mean Mr. Shan?
Mr. Shan
I want to say that every fairytale has a grain of truth inside of it. So, I am asking again...
Mr. Shan
Do you believe in fairytales?
Voices: Hahaha....Sean is such a milk baby!!!
Ciselle
Hey...! How dare you insult my brother! Take that back!
Mr. Shan
Kids, stop fighting! My intention wasn't to start a conflict, but to introduce today's lecture. As you already know, Mr. Lu has some urgent matters to resolve and he can't attend this course for a period of time. I am going to keep his place. I'll introduce myself again...
Mr. Shan
I am Shan Delan, your new teacher. Nice to meet you!
Voices: We too...
Now you're speaking like a normal teacher.
Mr. Shan
Hahaha...
I am glad to hear that!
Mr. Shan
Today's lecture is about lost empires, kingdoms, archeological wonders!
Mr. Shan
Are you excited kids?
Neon
Yes, yes! I am!
I am all ears!
Mr. Shan
Ok.
In our world, many civilisations were lost because of natural calamities or human made ones. One of these civilisations appeared under water and that's why it is only considered a fairytale.
Mr. Shan
When the civilisations from the surface started to prosper, this one began to collapse. Even though the inhabitants were intelligent creatures who had their own alphabet and customs, in the eyes of the people from above the water they were just monsters.
Mr. Shan
Cruel monsters...
Mr. Shan
Inferior living lives....
Ciselle
Mr. Shan, are you speaking about mermaids?
Mr. Shan
Yes. You're right! It is a lecture about sirens.
Ciselle
Do you believe in their existence?
Mr. Shan
I have wrote my own theories about these creatures in a book entitled "Mermania" and I believe in their existence a long time ago.
Sean
"Mermania" as their kingdom!
Mr. Shan
Oh, Mr. Sean are you also interested this subject? How much do you know?
Sean
Well, not too much!
Me, Ciselle and Neon found out about this lost civilisation from some street vendors.
Mr. Shan
If you're interested in this, we can speak more in private when the classes are over.
Mr. Shan
Now let's continue our lecture...
Mr. Shan gives a long speech about the daily life in that under water place.
This is how the lecture ends and the students leave the hall.
