Chapter 2 - Lost In Paradise
Alex Westwood
Two Sunshine Ray's please.
The bartender nodded and immediately started to prepare our drinks.
Lydia Kingsley
So I don't even get to pick my own?
Alex Westwood
Trust me, you'll not regret trying it.
As we waited for our drinks, the man then chuckled.
Lydia Kingsley
What's so funny?
Alex Westwood
I just realised that I haven't asked for your name yet.
Lydia Kingsley
What about you?
His eyes opened wide, as if he was surprised, but then smiled gently.
Alex Westwood
My grandmother calls me Alex.
Alex... that's a name that suits him well.
Lydia Kingsley
Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Alex.
Lydia Kingsley
I feel honoured to have you to dump all of my trauma on tonight.
Alex Westwood
Well, why don't we share our childhood trauma?
And so, we talked for hours, downing drink after drink.
Sharing our childhood stories while laughing at our mishaps, it was the best night of my life.
After around five hours, I took a look at my phone.
Lydia Kingsley
Goodness! The bar was supposed to close two hours ago.
Alex Westwood
Is that so...
Alex Westwood
It must be open extra late tonight.
Alex Westwood
But I'm impressed.
Alex Westwood
I've never seen a girl hold her liquor that well before.
Lydia Kingsley
Were you expecting to get me drunk and take advantage of me?
I could see the small blush in his cheeks as I chuckled.
Lydia Kingsley
I'm kidding!
Lydia Kingsley
You don't look like you would have the guts to do that to a girl. Besides, you've expressed your dislike for women at the start.
His face then darkened and his hand reached out, touching my cheek.
Alex Westwood
If it was you, I wouldn't mind.
At that moment, even my cheeks reddened.
Lydia Kingsley
Y-You're surely joking...
Alex Westwood
You're the first girl that I've enjoyed a conversation with.
Lydia Kingsley
Are you sure that it's not the alcohol that's talking?
This man... does he even realise how attractive he is?
Alex Westwood
I'm not drunk.
Alex Westwood
How could I become drunk when you're in front of me?
Since when does he have such a glib tongue?
I've never talked to a man who was so good at listening before. To top that, I feel a strong connection with him.
As he leaned forward towards me in the empty bar, his lips claimed mine, taking my first kiss.
His tongue slipped into mine, smudging my lip tint while his lips crashed against mine in a slow and sensual kiss.
When I talk about my worries with him, they all seem to disappear.
Even if they are likely to return tomorrow... I want to be selfish and forget about them tonight.
