Gawain, may I speak with you for a moment? I have a question that has been weighing on my mind.
Bennett came inside the room without knocking
Gawain
Bennett, please knock the door or inform the maids about your arrival before you arrive here
Bennett
Forgive me for my rudeness
Gawain
Tell me what brings you here
Bennett
Why was I asked to train under Reina's guidance when I could have been tutored by you, someone I trust?
Bennett
What purpose does it serve?
Gavin leans back in his chair, his gaze steady and calculating.
Gawain
It was a strategic decision, Bennett.
Gawain
By closely observing Reina's training techniques and methods, we can gain insight into her weaknesses, her plans, and potentially gather information that we can use to our advantage.
Bennett's eyebrows furrow, his curiosity piqued.
Bennett
So, you believe there is more to gain from this arrangement than meets the eye.
Bennett
But I don't believe she will show any of her vulnerability in front of me
Bennett
At the end of the day I am still a competitor for her.
Gawain
I have seen Reina grow up Bennett.
Gawain
Why do you think she doesn't take the initiative of making friends or opening up to people?
Gawain
That's because she easily show her vulnerable sight to someone whom she can trust even a little bit.
Gawain
That's the reason she isn't in good terms with her siblings but you are.
Bennett's mind swirls with conflicting emotions
Gawain
Bennett, my dear, this is a delicate dance we're engaged in, but it holds immense potential for securing our positions within the kingdom.
Bennett
I understand, Gavin. I will do as you ask.
Bennett
But I cannot help but wonder if there's more at stake here than a mere struggle for the throne.
Gavin's eyes meet Bennett's, a hint of sadness and understanding flickering within them.
Gawain
Perhaps, my dear Bennett.
Gawain
There are greater forces at play, and it is our duty to navigate them with utmost caution.
Gawain
We can't just play fair and wait for throne to come into our hands
Gawain
Remember, loyalty is a double-edged sword, and sometimes sacrifices must be made for the greater good.
The evening sun casts long shadows on the practice grounds as Reina and Bennett stand facing each other, their swords in hand.
Reina's mind is still preoccupied with the cryptic message she received the previous night, causing her movements to lack their usual precision.
Reina
(distracted) Ready, Bennett? Let's begin the training session.
Bennett smirks mischievously, sensing Reina's lack of focus.
Bennett
Are you sure you're up for it, Reina? You seem rather absent-minded today. Don't tell me the weight of responsibility is finally getting to you.
Reina's eyes flash with a mix of annoyance and determination.
Reina
Spare me the taunts, Bennett. I won't let your words distract me.
They circle each other, their swords raised, their gazes locked in a battle of wills.
As they clash, their movements quick and calculated, the air crackles with tension.
Bennett
(grinning)Come on, Reina, show me what you're capable of. Or has the great princess finally met her match?
Reina
You underestimate me, Bennett. I may have a lot on my mind, but I won't let it hinder my abilities.
Their swords clash again and again, the sound echoing through the practice grounds.
They push each other to their limits, their movements fluid yet filled with underlying aggression.
Bennett
(teasingly) You know, Reina, I can't help but wonder if there's more to your distraction.
Bennett
Could it be that the cryptic message you received has rattled you?
