  CHAPTER EIGHT****

"No! I can't take it, its your also, if you don't wear it you can catch a cold and you know what I don't want that," I told him getting up and removing the jacket but his hand stopped me, "No, you need it more than me and by the way if I don't do it I won't be considered as a gentleman," he said with a genuine smirk.

"Thank you," was the only words I said back.

"No problem and if you don't mind me asking why are you sitting all alone in the middle of night in this pouring weather?"

"Umm..." I hesitated before telling him. Should I tell him or not? He's a nice guy after all and what harm can it do if I tell him? Okay, not the whole story maybe a little bit can't hurt much and he also belongs to a wealthy family maybe he can help me in dealing with this situation. Yeah... Its a best situation right now.

I was just about to tell him when my inner thought interrupted. Are you crazy silly girl? You fool, instead of helping, he will hate you. Which guy would ever love a girl who herself, by her own hand sold herself and signed her fate on some contract? He will think of you that you're also same as other pros**tues.

"Hello, you there?" he snapped his fingers in front of my eyes.

"Umm... Ohh yes, I... I was going my apartment and got tired due to over walking so sat there but then suddenly rain started to pour and there was no taxi near by also can't call the uber because phone has no charging left. So, that's exactly what happened."

I told him to which he looked around but I never saw any type of disgust or any expression change. That why was lonely girl walking in this area alone? But he didn't asked once.

" Okay! So, where's your house? Let me drive you back."

I looked at him shocked, "you sure?" I asked confirming his words to which he didn't replied just nodded his head in acceptance.

"Hell yea... Of course, I mean why would I feel trouble in dropping you at your home's door? So let's get up, I'm feeling cold now. He said getting up cleaning the invisible dirt from his pants".

He pulled me up by my elbow making me stumble and collided with him, "oh I'm sorry I didn't know that you are already started to fall for me or should I say fall on me?" he commented making me giving him a fake glare but in the end we can't help but laugh childishly.

He opened the car door of my side for me at which I can't help but tried to hide by blush.

We talked about many things on our drive back until he opened his car drawer and pulled out an invitation card and handed it over to me."What is this card about and why did you handed it to me, Edward?"

"It's my 23rd birthday Party invitation card at which I will be really happy if you come and join," he said with his eyes still on road without divert any intention. His posture seemed very calm and warm, I wanted to cry and let out my all emotions, I wanted him to comfort me with his warm words. I really wanted to rely on him but controlled my emotions.

You can't be weak Jennifer, after coming this point, you have to be strong. But it would be really nice if that demon will be nice just little bit like Edward.

"Are you done staring? Okay look I know I'm hot but I didn't know that I was that hot to catch a girl like you to observing me," his laugh distracted me from all the thoughts of pain making me smile with him.

"So... You are coming, right?"

"Date, Day and Timing?" I asked but soon founded myself dumb when he said, "Three days from now but well its all written on this poor card on which right now you are releasing all your anger."

"hmm?" when I looked, I was literally squeezing the card really hard maybe to control my uncontrollable emotions. I was embarrassed due to my act.

He stopped the car in front of my apartment, got out of his side just to open my side of door for me. Damn how can be someone as cute as him."Thank you, for driving me home today."

"No, no actually thank you for making me drenched in rain so that you can see my hot body but you know what, you can told me whenever you want to see and I'll show you" he said making me give him a strange look. "Are you crazy?" I asked.

"What, call your lifesaver crazy? How bad can you be, you are so cruel Jen," he said with a frown when I stepped in my apartment, switching on the lights.

"So am I invited in your house?" I heard him say from behind so I turned around and nodding my head in no, making his jaw dropped.

"What? But why? I helped you just now, right?" he whispered making me crack a smile, "Of course you are invited idiot, after all you are life SAVER, isn't?" I said the word saver in a funny way. "Come on in let me grab towels to dry ourselves," I said while making my way towards my bathroom.

I stopped in front of Vic's room just to check on her that if she's alright or not but when I opened the door silently she was sleeping safe and sound at this I relaxed. Thank God she's alright. I sighed.

After reaching bathroom I fetched two cream colour towels from the sink cabinet. When I entered my living room I found him nowhere. Did he already left? I felt sad, but why did he left so soon?

There's was a paper at the place where he was sitting. I picked it up and read, "Don't forget to come, I'll waiting for you😊," CUTE was only word I said after read the paper and took my seat on floor.

What a day Jennifer you signed a contract of your life and death and don't know what will happen next. I asked myself when suddenly my thoughts corrupted by Ed, and for the first time I thought that he looked like someone but who I racked my brain to find some answer but even after ten minutes when I got nothing I sigh and got up.

There was a packet of instant noodles in the kitchen so I ate them and went to bed in hope to catch some sleep after a day like this.
