Graduation Ceremony

CHAPTER ONE

"Come on, just get up. I don't want to be late today too, Vic." yeah it's me, Jennifer Oxford, who has now made a record of reaching late to wherever she goes. Not because I'm fond of arriving late, but because my best friend loves her sleep.

But still, I don't want to arrive late today as well, like come on guys today is my graduation ceremony, one of the special days of my life but I don't know why I'm still not as happy as my other classmates.

Maybe because I don't have anyone by my side, no it's not like I'm not happy, I have Vic with me and she's exactly a sister to me, in fact, more than my own sister but I can't change the fact that I don't have any family.

I remember that day when my parents died in a car accident leaving me and my elder sister ciala, in this lonely and scary world. At that time I was just 16 and ciala was 18 years old. Just thought of that day brought tears to my eyes.

And this wasn't enough I thought maybe my luck wasn't with me at all because the one and only sister whom I loved greatly, left me behind, saying I'm the reason for our parent's death. Don't know how so many years have passed already, that now I'm 22 and going to graduate today but unfortunately at this point of life, no one is with me, yeah except one person, Vic.

"Vic. yeah... Vic," in all of this, how can I forget that today is our graduation ceremony and Vic is still asleep.

"Vic if you don't get up then I'll gonna leave you behind," I said. And listening to this, she got up from the bed, immediately. "haha, I knew that it will definitely gonna work" I said with a funny face, and with that, she throws a pillow in my direction because she doesn't like to leave behind alone on her own. You know why? It's obvious because she's literally a very lazy person.

So, she gets up quickly, took a shower, and get ready for the ceremony I was actually staring at her when she was busy applying a lot of makeup means a lot of makeup on her face.

She noticed me a few times and finally said, "Jenn, just stop staring at me it's my right to put on makeup, today."

I started laughing at her comment because she always had a lot of makeup on her face, she noticed my reaction," Yeah, yeah whatever at least I'm not someone like you, who has never done makeup ever." she said with a pouted face.

At this, we both started laughing because that's true, I have never applied makeup on my face except a baby pink lipstick because I love that pink shade.

When she was done with all those irrelevant things, we left for our destination.

After the so-called boring ceremony, we took pictures with our few friends and class fellows." I know, he like you" Vic said bluntly.

"Come on Vic, he is just a friend of mine like you," I replied with a little bit of blush on my face because I knew its true, he has feelings for me and I also like him maybe a little bit. After all, he was my first male friend that's why he was really close to me.

Edward was the famous boy in our class in fact in our college. He has blond hair with green eyes like the whole forest lays in his eyes, with a full broad chest, and yeah those build muscles, Oh My God just doesn't talk about that.

EDWARD RAMSON

Vic immediately noted my reaction, and have a big sigh. "girl, are you for real? Because all you have to say is, I like you, Edward" I never had a chance to answer her as she suddenly spoke again, "Oh My God, he's coming in our direction" the moment, he was in front of us he said, " Hey Girls! what's up?

He shook a hand with Vic, hugged me tightly. We start talking when some girls came and started clinging with Edward saying, "we will gonna miss you Edward" I rolled my eyes at their cringy act.

Edward started feeling awkwardness so he said, "see you again, my parents are waiting for me." with that he excuse himself from those weird type girls and placed a gentle kiss on my forehead saying, "goodbye, and yeah don't forget that there's my birthday next month and you have to come" after saying this he left.

All girls were throwing daggers towards me with their eyes when Edward placed a kiss on my forehead and just like all previous days I ignored them.

"Let's go and have a party babe," Vic said, with both hands waving in the air with joy. "Okay girl, why not let's go have a party," I said by throwing myself on her in a dancing way.

Coming home, I walked towards my closet and pick a small black dress for the party tonight that was backless and ended at my mid-thighs.

I for the first time, apply dark makeup with blood Red lipstick and wore my high heels, I was looking hot in this dress. 'wow Jennifer, makeup looks great on you why don't you start applying it on your face from now on?'

When Vic was ready, she came out of her room and she took a glance at me, I can tell by just looking at her face that she was in shock. And when she regained her senses she said," I'm gonna sue you for being so beautiful."

First, we were just staring at each other because of her compliment but after some time we both start laughing.

And when we are done with our laugh I called the uber, after some time the car arrived and we both left for our destination.
