**Back story **

Lily's mother's side is a very wealthy family, but after Lily's mother eloped, they cut ties with her. But her grandfather and grandmother had made a promise to the Sondra family. (Max's full name is Max Sondra and Lily's full name is Lily Honson) The promise was that the Honson family's first granddaughter would be married to Sondra family's first grandson. This was to keep an alliance. The Honson family was embarrassed about their daughter eloping so they tried to hide the promise. Eventually the marriage talk was brought up again and Max, the grandson of the current Sondra family was to be wedded to Lily, the granddaughter of Honson.

Max's POV - Point Of View

"Grandfather, to what do I owe this pleasure of your presence?"

"Max, I have arranged a marriage for you, it's time for you to get settled down."

"Grandfather, you can't do this to me! I don't need a wife!"

"The wedding is this Sunday. Make sure to have a good appearance"

Max's grandfather left.

Max respected his Grandfather as he was the one that molded him to who he is now. But this was unacceptable Max thought.

Max wiped the table with contents, everything spilling. Max had kept a title of playboy. Using women like clothes, using them once then never using them again. This would all be ruined. Max formed a plan to purposefully have s*x with a woman on the day his future wife came. Max had seen many beauties but something always felt empty. He couldn't figure out what it was. This future wife would never be good enough for him, he thought.

Max grabbed his phone and called his assistant, Lemson.

"Lemson, I want you to find out everything about Lily Honson"

"Yes sir."

After 20 minutes, Max received a call.

"Hello?" Max said

"Sir, I can not seem to find any information about Lily Honson. No matter how hard I try, the information is heavily guarded and classified. Even I can not break through it."

"You know I don't have much tolerance, I will find out somehow."

"Sir, the best option would be for you to ask her personally. But what I did find was she went to a hospital regularly for an unknown reason. I've made calls and listened to rumors but I can't seem to find anything sir..."

"That's enough for now. I'll think about it."

Max had many thoughts inside his head, perhaps Lily got hurt very bad and had to go to hospital for recovery. That was the most explainable reason. But Max wouldn't have guessed how wrong he was...

Back to the present (Conversation between Lily and Tom)

"I see he has achieved so much already. How old is he though?" Lily asked

"He is 25 right now" Tom replied

"Thanks" Lily said and started to walk away. Lily could never trust anyone and would never trust anyone.
