Nightmare

"You are a graphics designer too?" I could not control my happiness.

"Yeah. I guess so!" Seth replied with a pair of dancing eyeborw.

"You know him? Then I am leaving. CEO has given me a bunch of files to organize. All the best miss." The girl left with a young happy face.

Seth introduced me to everyone. But unfortunately his desk was so far away from mine. Suddenly I found myself disappointed. I could not trace where this disappointment came from! An unsocial girl like me was feeling attached to a guy! Really? But it was true. I was always being possesed by an unkown feeling when he was around.

At lunchtime he approached me. I was being shy.

"So you always were this much shy?"

"No. Actually I find it diffucult to communicate with people everytime. I was never a social girl. This is my first time dealing with so many people. Please don't mind mr.Anderson."

"Don't be so formal. We are colleagues. Call me Andy."

'Andy!' The name felt so nice. I was dropping my guards around him. So easygoing guy.

After a few days CEO called the whole department to his office. It was a new project. A renounced company wanted us to organise their product launch feast. So designing the invitation cards, banners, posters were our responsibility. Their expectations were too high. Our CEO was a bit confused with the company's ability. Still it was a huge opportunity.

I had to study their products and their requirements repeatedly. It was my first project. I wanted to give my best. So I overworked till 7 pm. Andy was still waiting for me downstairs. He was calling me repeatedly. So I had to leave my work behind. I took the lift with a wary body. Suddenly an existance awakened my guard.

"So miss Jones is here. Nice to meet you again," the perverted voice of Jack, Will's cousin made me shiver in the summer. I was too scared of this pervert from the first day. I was praying silently. The lift arrived on the ground floor. I ran as fast as I could wearing those high heels. Jack was my enemy, always. But Will never believed me.

Suddenly Kathy pulled my arm, "Lily? Where are you going?" Kathy, a simple minded girl in my department who was the second person I befriended with.

Andy was standing behind her. I can can clearly read the fright on his face. Having them with me, I had a sigh of relief. I eased up a bit. I requested them to drop me home.

At midnight a nightmare made me scream. It felt like my baby was calling me. That bright light & screeching sound! It was the scene of that accident again. Watching me cry Piko sat on my lap and kept waving her tail. I wanted to call mom. But I did not want them to worry about me. I went to sleep again with Piko in my arms & thinking about the self relience I wanted to achieve.
