After discussing some business matters laurain left to meet tom. She reached their on time. Tom was already there. Tom explained himself and also apologized. He assured her that he will clear everything on the wedding day the day after tomorrow. He will postpone the wedding saying that laurain's parents are not in the country at the moment. Laurain didn't say anything. Tom didn't even knew her name.

Laurain was about to go when tom stopped her and said "About the wedding dress...." laurain stopped him by saying "I will manage it"

Then tom extended his hand for a hand shake and said "I am Tom Long, it was nice meeting you and I again apologize for dragging you into my mess" he just introduced himself so that Laurain would also introduce herself.

Laurain didn't say anything just staring at him and his hand 'I am Tom Long' these words were spinning in her head again and again. He was about to retract his hand when laurain shook hands with him and said "I am Laurain Morgan Stone, it was nice meeting you" her one hand was clenched in to a fist but she said smiling. They then also exchanged numbers.

Laurain went to her villa. It was a big enough for a single person. It was a luxurious villa outside the main city. There was only a guard on the main gate.

Laurain lived alone. No one was allowed to come here even maids. Laurain changed her clothes and wore a full swimming suit and went to the big swimming pool. She dived in and came on the surface after a minute. She did this many times. Laurain then stayed on top of the water. Her childhood memories coming in her mind.

All the childrens playing together. A boy 4 years older than her rubbing her head affectionately. They play all kinda of games. Laurain was only 4 year olds. She really liked her brother who treated her with care.

Then she remembered her elder sister crying. She then pushed the boy away he just took a few steps back but her aunt came and slapped her but said nothing to him.

Telling their father what her cousin brother said about us. He said that we are low class and we don't have any value.

"Tom Long" laurain said smiling sarcastically.

Laurain spend the next day at home also ordered a simple wedding dress to be delivered at her house.

The next day was the wedding day.

Tom came to her villa to pick her up after laurain told him the address. Tom himself belonged to a wealthy family but seeing her big villa he was still amazed.

Laurain came down the stairs wearing her long white dress. The dress was simple but it looked very beautiful on her with her hair open.

Tom couldn't take his eyes off of her.

He was wearing a royal blue suit in which he was looking very handsome.

The wedding was at night, Laurain and Tom reached the wedding hall at 7. The wedding hall was decorated very beautifully. A big golden chandelier hung in the centre of the hall and there were white and red roses on both sides of the hall. Laurain went to the bride room. At the moment Tom was near the stage talking to some guests. He saw Harry going towards the brides room sneakily. He was not sad anymore, he himself didn't understand why it was so. Shouldn't he be getting drunk in some bar and forgetting his sorrows.

Sigh, was it so easy to forget your first love.

But he can't lose his reputation infront of these business allies, other wise he will be in real trouble this time, they probably came to watch some type of show, because he clearly remembers that only family members were invited.

Laurain was also watching everything from a corner, there were many businessman present, she really didn't thought that the long family has so much connections, It should be now that Tom tells everyone about the postponing of their wedding. Laurain saw Tom went up to stage and pick up the mike he saw kate and harry coming out of the room together.

"I am very happy for my cousin as she is going to marry the man she loves and I also pray for her happy married life."

Tom saw laurain watching him and telling him to stop by shaking her head in denial. Laurain knew what he was going to say.

"A person get the one whom he/she loved from his whole heart. I guess its true as we both got the one we loved the most" tom said smiling.

"Laurain's parents are not in the country at the moment so...I'll walk with her down the aisle."

Laurain closed her eyes her fists clenched.

She went away from there she was about to leave when Tom came from behind and dragged her to brides room.

"Let go" Laurain said with an extremely cold voice.

"Listen to me first" tom said

"Hahaha listen to you , you liar, if you couldn't tell them let me tell them i will clear everything" Laurain said with anger.

"No that can't be possible" tom said

"I'll make it possible"laurain said coldly and struggled to get free from his grip. Tom was holding her against the wall holding both her hands behind her.

"Lets get married" tom said.

"Heh you dream" Laurain said.

"You think I can't back away well I can, go deal with them yourself I am leaving" Laurain said and almost freed herself.

When Tom's kiss landed on her lips. Laurain's eyes opened wide in shock. Tom let go of her and said "Marry me" "NEVER" Laurain retorted. And he again kissed her his lips just touched her to stop her from speaking. When he moved away "Damn Bastard" Laurain said and he again kissed her.

"Psycho Bastard"

I'll never marry you"

"Go Die"

"Shameless"

"I hate you" after every curse tom kissed her. Tom also liked kissing her cherry red soft lips. "Till when are you going to do this?" Laurain asked when tom moved away he was again moving to kiss her when she said "I asked you a question?" Laurain said with furrowed eyebrows and moved her face to other side.

Don't know why but Tom felt a sense of accomplishment.

"Until you agree" tom replied.

"Never , for... mmhh" tom stopped her by kissing her a real kiss not just a peck.

When tom stopped laurain said "I will say no infront of everyone"

"I will tell everyone that the one I am marrying is Mr Morgan Stone's daughter" Laurain didn't even blinked as telling him to go announce it ''I don't CARE' written all over her face. "What will people say that a successful businessman's also a retired army official Mr Morgan's daughter is getting married without her family."

After a while laurain and tom came and walked down the aisle to the stage. Laurain was looking breathtaking in her simple wedding dress also her cold appearance added to her beauty ofcourse she was smiling but it was only a slight smile which she practiced over the years. Everyone was like ' who is this beautiful woman can i get a chance'.

"They look great" many said. Laurain's friends from academy were also present. "She's soo beautiful" nora said. Laurain tried to remain as low key as possible so she never dolled herself up like other girls. Her all friends were dumbfounded they didn't seem to accept that it was Laurain.

Tom dropped laurain to her villa. Before stepping down the car Laurain took of the ring and necklace and putted it in the car tom wanted to say that she can keep them but didn't. They didn't even talk in the car. Laurain went in her room and stood infront of the long mirror.

She just stared at herself, dressed in a beautiful white gown, it was probably the first and the last time she wear something this disgustingly outstanding thing called a wedding gown.

After laurain went in tom touched his lips and he went away smiling.

Today was Wednesday it was already midnight,Laurain will be going on Saturday for her special training. There were only 2 days left before she goes. Laurain took a long bath then went to sleep.

The next day she went to the company the first thing in the morning.

After getting free from the company and giving leena the plan for the next few months as she will not be able to come to the company. Laurain went straight to the Morgan Mansion.

The mansion was bigger than laurain's it was a modern style luxurious mansion and very beautiful from both inside and outside.

Mr.Morgan's wife Elsa Morgan was sitting in the living room. A maid bought Laurain to the living room seeing her daughter came after so long Elsa was very happy she hugged her and asked her to sit.

Elsa Morgan was a polite and good woman she treated Laurain good. "How is your time in academy going do you like it?" Elsa asked.

"Its good, There is nothing much to enjoy but its fun" laurain replied politely. Laurain neither called her mom nor bothered her on any matters. There was nothing much they talked about, both of them never talked with eachother more than ten minutes.

Laurain excused herself and went to Mr. Morgan's study room. He was dealing with some important work when laurain knocked and entered.

Mr.Morgan seeing her smiled and asked her to sit.

"How are you?" He asked coming and sitting on the single couch infront of Laurain.

"I'm fine. How about you?" Laurain said politely. Laurain always talked with them with respect.

"I'm also good" Mr.Morgan replied.

Mr. Morgan knew Laurain came here for a purpose because she rarely visited them and never stayed long enough.

"I'll cut to the point" laurain said "I want you to hand over the company business to me for 5 years........and in this time you will not interfere with what I'm doing. I hope that you could do this. (Mr.Morgan closed his eyes as a painful memory returned) In this time I want you to take Madam(Elsa) and John to a safe place which only you know about and no one else." Laurain completed.

"Why do you want to do that?"asked Mr. Morgan patiently. He already knew that this will happen one day.

"Don't worry I don't want to take over your company its for a certain period of time the company will remain in your name but all affairs would be managed by me and you will have no say in them. After 5 years john will be 18 and I will give back what rightfully belongs to you and your family." She knew what he was asking about so she tactfully changed the topic.

"Why do you want us to go away from this place. In other words you want us to go in hiding." He asked more clearly.

"So that you and your family don't come in my way"Laurain said coldly.

Mr. Morgan however found the true intentions behind her words. She doesn't want to put us in danger.

"About the company...." he was about to say something but Laurain cut him off saying,"We will sign a contract about this matter if you agree (Laurain looking straight into Mr Morgans eyes as if trying to find what he was thinking about) I will take over after 6 months." Inspite of her young age her imposing manner left Mr.Morgan pressurized Laurain stood up and was about to leave but She turned around and said,"what belongs to you will always remain yours" than she left.

When she was just going out john came from school. Seeing her he was the most happy. Laurain cherished her brother very much. They both were very close seeing her john ran towards laurain and hugged her. Laurain hugged him back.

"Sis why didn't you come home its been a long time since you came to see me"the boy complained still hugging his sister.

A beautiful smile appeared on laurain's face hearing the boys complain.

She rubbed his hair.

"I was busy and had lot of work to do"

"What work? that you didn't even came to see me was the work more important than me" the boy said sulking.

"Ofcourse (his eyes opened wide he thought that she was saying work was more important. Laurain knew what he was thinking and smiled)... you are the most important" laurain said a beautiful smile still on her face.

Laurain rubbed his hair and asked him to go freshen up. She also went in again and the whole family ate their lunch.

After lunch laurain and john went to the garden behind the mansion. Laurain also brought the guns from her car. These were all toy guns but looked similar to that of a real gun. Her brother liked to play with guns very much. He asked her to take him to shooting range but because he was still a child she didn't.

He was excited seeing the guns and laurain set up a small shooting range for him in the garden. There were all types of guns there were even toy rifles. She also made targets for him using circular metal boxes and covering them with the hard paper which already have markings. Then Laurain explained him about the magazine trigger and also how to load and how to take aim.

After a while john was busy checking his guns and Laurain was watering the plants with a hose.

Suddenly laurain turned the hose towards john and he was completely wet. He turned towards Laurain and had a irritated expression on his face. He ran towards laurain and seeing him laurain watered him more. "I will not leave you" john said in anger and ran towards laurain as she left the hose behind and started to run laughing loudly john picked up the hose and ran behind her.

Both were completely wet running after eachother and laughing. They played for the whole afternoon in the garden.

No one could have guessed that the cold woman also had this side.

Laurain returned to her home at 6 o'clock as she still had to attend the reception.
