I had no idea how rich my parents were and how much I could spent. All what butler Tony bought for me was insane new car, new home, new jewelries and more. I know I was pretty fine with just spending no money and doing nothing but all this was very tempting, especially when you got in the middle of other youth who spent just the same amount of money and even more. I thought i will feel bad about all this new style but I was very comfortable especially after being invited to my first party.

It was at a grand hotel very glamorous, I was with Andrew and Linda who presented me to their other friends, I had lot of fun we drank and bet on all sort of funny things then came another girl extremely pretty apparently Andrew had a crush on her. Barbara she was called, she sat at our table and gave me a cold shoulder she wasn't from our school. After ignoring me for nearly all the evening at last she turned and talked to me;

Barbara : " are you Rachel, the new student everyone's talking about?"

Rachel : yes I am nice to meet you. By the way you aren't from our school how do you know?

Barbara : Never mind.. Andrew talk about you alot I'm his cousin. He said you're participating at the beauty contest we'll meet there then.

And that was it. She didn't even give me the time to reply and was gone.

OMG the beauty contest, I had totally forgotten about it. (but wait that's something which concerns our school how does it concern Barbara. As much as I know she not from my school.)

I needed to ask the school director about the contest and what's all about.

After the party I went back home tired and exhausted. Living alone was more difficult than I taught, usually butler Tony would have prepared dinner and arranged everything for me but now I could count only on myself.

I went to bed directly after taking a bath without having dinner because I was too tired, so in the morning I was very hungry.

Thank to Tony who send some food at my place in the morning I didn't die of hunger, guess he knows me well ( haha... lol).

So then I headed straight to school, were I met my new friends it was soo interesting to talk with them but I was worried about the contest.

I went to talk with the director, he assured me the contest was just a normal one but the fact that the kids are very popular it is usually broadcast on TV and on major social media platforms and that it had a lot of powerful investors. Just to make it short I didn't had to worry and just focus on my performance there was no need to overdo anything.( then who is Barbara and why did she gave me the cold competitive shoulder?)

I asked about the other candidates he said other girls of the school. Then I asked about Barbara.

Barbara is a special student of the academy, there's a group of gifted students who can't attend normal classes because they took over their family business too early or already have large estates to manage. So the school organise for them to enroll and get their degree even though they don't attend normal classes.

That was astonishing I've never heard about it. So that's why I didn't know her. So even them could still participate in school activities.

I wonder how much of this school I didn't know.

So after that the time for the contest came very fast and one month had already pass since the arrival of Rachel at school.

I became very popular and got lot of admirers and friends but sometimes deep inside I missed lea and my parents, I missed my calm and lazy life being Rachel demanded lot of work and self-awareness.
