Episode 4

"I am sorry, mother,please talk to me" "Its been weeks now, I am a selfish son,punish me" apologized ,Ryan, begging constantly while his mother sat on the couch and sipped her tea. "Mother,please.. I don't know why I did what I did, please forgive me"Ryan,continued as he knelt down the floor and lowered his head "Stand up, Ryan,I am not angry" "Come and sit with me" said his mother patting the seat next to her.

Ryan, stood up and sighed with relief as he approached his mother and sat right next to her. "Ryan, I am not angry at you, I love you so much that I don't dare to get angry at you... But,I was disappointed with your impulsiveness" she said and  took a deep breath. "I knew that you were hiding something from me, so I had to sent your father inside your room to talk to you right after he got back from his work" his mother continued as she stared at her son with her eyes filled with tears.

"See.. I am not  good in talking.. especially with you, I always end up with tears which usually stops me from talking" his mother said with a trembling voice sobbing softly and giggling at the same time. "Mom.. Please, don't cry.. I will make sure to always remember the sacrificed you and dad had made for me, before I take any big decision again" consoled, Ryan, hugging his mother gently. "I am proud to have you.. My son!" said, Ryan's,mother as she buried her head on his chest.

"Today is the club day.. Today is the club day" Cassandra, sang, happily jumping up and down on her bed. "Ha ha ha.. You look happy,Cassie!" said her mother walking in her room, holding neatly folded clothes in her hands. "Mom, I have some questions" announced , Cassandra, as she stopped jumping and jumped down of the bed hurriedly.

"Be careful! You might hurt yourself, I am right here" exclaimed her mother as her face ran pale anxiously like there was no blood in her body . "Mom, I was just getting down the bed.. Why do you looked so frightened" said, Cassandra,sounding surprised. "Nothing.. I also don't know why I reacted that way suddenly" "Come and sit here"  "What do you want to ask me?" said her mother wearing the same expression as her's "She is as surprised as I am.. What is going on?" thought, Cassandra, staring at her mother like she was trying to solve a puzzle.

"What do you want to ask me?" Her mother interrupted her thought. "Mom, what is club?" she asked as she sat down next to her mother. " There are different kinds of club, like an organization or a team" "Which club are you talking about?" asked her mother. "So it is an organization... " whispered, Cassandra,in response while nodding her head repeatedly.

"Where are we?" "And what's the year" Cassandra, continued to asked her mother. "We are in, Shanghai and its the year of 2018" replied her mother with a looked of concerned on her face as she looked at her daughter wearing confused expression all over her face. "Why don't you check the calendar hanging on you wall?" asked her mother looking confused. "So, that thing is a calendar" mumbled,Cassie,under her breath getting lost in her thought.

"Mom I am invited to a club tonight and they will send a driver here to fetch me" "I forgot to ask your permission,may I go?"  Cassandra, asked her mother's permission while secretly hoping that she would grant her permission."Hmm it must be a club meeting then, but why this late?" her mother asked finding it  a bit weird. "Its a birthday invitation" answered, Cassandra, with a gleam of hope.

"Okay...You may go but remember to come back home by 10" her mother said still finding it weird. "Cassie, You never like to go to  birthday parties and all, is the birthday girl your best friend or close friend?" her mother asked feeling suspicious as she couldn't shake the feeling off that something was weird.

"I met her on the first day of my University, she sounds nice and she is so beautiful.. I want to get to know her more and be her friend" Cassandra, explained ecstatically as her eyes lights up with happiness and excitement. "She is acting strange these days.....I feel like, I am knowing my daughter all over again..." "I need to spend more time with her I can't be the mother who doesn't know their own children"  thought her mother deeply as she looked around, Cassandra's, room observing the decorations and the things that have changed.

Don't want to break her innocent daughter's heart, she decided to let her go with a heavy heart, she can only hope that her daughter comes back home safely.
