EPISODE 3

"Patricia, where are you?", asked, Ryan, holding phone over his ear. "Ryan!! I.. ah..I..I am helping some of my juniors solving math.... equations", replied, Patricia, at the other end of the phone nervously stuttering. "Okay.. I will meet you tomorrow in the class than" he hung up the phone. "Hmmm.. This, Patricia, has been acting weird recently.. Is she preparing for our graduation gift hi hi hi hi" Ryan, giggled making a funny sound as he mumbled something under his breath and hummed along the way happily.

"Sigh~Ryan.." Patricia, sighed deeply in the balcony wearing a lingerie, she turned around and climbed up the bed where a man was sleeping soundly. Patricia, slowly slid towards him in the bed, the man noticed it, pulled her closer to his bare chest and hugged her half asleep. Patricia, grinned lightly and hugged him back as she fell a sleep on his chest gradually.

"I am home!" called,Ryan, as he enters his house. "Ryan! So have you thought about it?" asked his mother popping out from the kitchen smiling with anticipation. "About what, mom?" asked, Ryan, pretending dumb. "Oh.. Dear, for your further studies" his mother replied handing him a glass of water. "If you have good qualifications, there will be great chances for you to get a well paid and respectable job" said her mother excitedly while she started imagining his future.

"Mom......I want to get married" announced, Ryan, in a low voice,lowering his head not daring to look at his mother. "What! I just imagined you saying you want to get married,, ha ha", replied his mother with a forced out laughter. "Mom...." he called again almost in a whisper and before he could say anything else. "Go to your room!" ordered his mother sternly avoiding to look at him, she turned her head to the other side to show her disappointment.

"I have to get married someday anyway.. What difference does it make if I get married now?" "Patricia, is the love of my life and I have been together with her for almost two years now, I am gonna propose her" Ryan, thought out loud while staring at his loving girlfriend,Patricia's,  photo on his phone screen and smiled cheerfully.

**      LATE AT NIGHT... ** knock! knock! knock! The sound of the door constantly knocking woke, Ryan, up. He stood up and opened the door drowsily. "Father, what brings you here late at night?" asked, Ryan, looking surprised. "Can I come in?", asked, his father. "Yes, yes..." replied, Ryan, and let his father in.

His father walked into his room quietly and sat down on the chair "Sigh~ Ryan, what did you said to your mother?" asked, his father after a moment of silence. "Father, I am sorry if I said something wrong and hurt my mother" he apologized as he knelt down the floor. "Hush...Stand up, son! I am just here to have a normal conversation with you" explained his father while he stretched his hand towards, Ryan, lovingly.

Ryan, looked up with a smile, holds his father's hand as he stood up and sat down on his bed as an obedient son.

"Soo, you are 21 years old now and you want to get married.....Are you ready for all the responsibilities you will have, It is not easy being a husband, a brother in law and a son in law of the family" "And a FATHER years later, your marriage".. "All the expectations, will you be able to handle the pressure?" asked his father as he stared at his stubborn son helplessly. "Father..I love her so much, I just want to make her mine" answered, Ryan,looking down the floor.

"If you're sure about your feelings for her, then why the rush, Ryan? Are you scared of losing her, son? Aren't you sure about her feelings for you?" his father bombarded him with one question after another, leaving him flustered and confused knowing that he had no answer to all his father's  questions.  His father main aim was to wake him up from denial.

"Son, you were brought up in the martial world by your uncle while your mother and I worked day and night for you...." "We love you so much but in order to give you a good future, we have to leave you when you were at the age of 5 in your uncle place so you can grow stronger and protect the people around you, when we thought we have save enough  for your future, we came back for you, not realizing how you had grown,  you were, 17 years old then."..........narrated his father with a hint of smile as the feeling of nostalgia hit him.

After a short pause, his father continued, "And... now you want to get married throwing your future away, throwing the hard work of your parents away for a girl....." "To add.... you're not  even sure about her feelings for you" "So, what do you expect from us, son?" his father said,  tears were pouring down his face as he sobbed softly, staring at, Ryan, while his hands were busy wiping his tears. His father stood up to leave while, Ryan, lowered his head in shame not daring to looked up.

"Fall in love and also get married, son! I don't mind but not like this"  "The right one for you, the one who will love you as much as you love her is just around the corner" "Paved way for her"  declared his father and walked out the room leaving, Ryan, alone with his thoughts while his father's voice echoed through his ears.
