The Last Order

-Dear Roman, fulfill my order and your wishes will be infinite ...

Roman: With pleasure my lord. (smiling wickedly)

The Estoque kingdom, the richest kingdom of all times,

nobody knows how it was founded and nobody cares.

As long as people have bread to eat, nobody will say anything.

This Kingdom is corrupt and voracious;

Therefore, once a year it must offer the most beautiful

and pure woman in the whole Kingdom.

Today, the entire kingdom has gathered to witness

the sacrifice of a flower that is about to be cut.

She is definitely beautiful.

While the woman tries to remain as calm as possible,

her hands start shaking which gives her away.

Everything stops, leaving only silence making time seem longer

as if the seconds were minutes and the minutes were hours.

Everyone starts to place their hands in the air,

while the desperate young woman can no longer remain calm

and becomes uneasy.

“No, No, I don't wanna die!” she yells. Look at me!!!

Who said I’m pretty? Well, I am neither pretty nor pure !!! Please!!!

!!! someone, whoever ... Please ... help me !!!" She screams while crying.

"Don’t waste your energy, nobody will help you.

This kingdom is stained and nobody wants to lose the favor of the statue.

I've seen this too many times  before; they all ask for mercy,

but no matter how hard they scream or cry

and no matter how many witnesses there are, no one says or does anything."

Says Carlos (the guard).

Feeling a painful weight in her heart she surrenders to the cruel end she is meeting.

Her eyes get cover, and  the last scene she sees is from the crowd;

people praying with their hands outstretched and eyes closed.

Then, there is only the sound of a voice.

-King: Today, we gather our voices to clean and liberate our present and future.

Blood has been spilled; We recognize that freedom has a price.

We know that many have died and many more will die so that we

can finally close and maintain the stability of this kingdom.

My people and I give you this offering being the purest

(guard pierces the woman's chest with a knife.

The woman starts screaming while her heart is taken out.

The heart still beating is delivered to the king's hands)

and most beautiful. (The king puts the heart on the altar of the statue.)

With this, we show you our sincerity.

We only ask for your protection and wealth for the kingdom and its inhabitants.

oh, great statue.

(The golden statue begins to emit golden light while the heart is being devoured.)

"With this, we close the end of this ceremony." The king leaves.

14 Years after, a week before the offering ceremony.

The king has the same dream, everything is white;

there is only him, and then everything around him turns crimson red.

The statue that he has worshiped all these years is placed

in front of him. The statue begins emitting its golden light

while turning into a black bull with red eyes as it begins to speak.

"Hello, dear king." Said the bull sarcastically.

"another year of prosperity isn't it?" while laughing.

"All these years you have shown me how faithful you are, that is why

I've decided that the time has come for this to be the last offering.

In this way, you will be able to govern for the years and years to come.

Your last order will be the following:

I need you to give me the most beautiful and pure woman your kingdom has to offer.

This time I have already chosen her.

I need you to give me one of your daughters, I want Rachel."

The king wakes from his deep sleep opening his eyes in fear.

Rachel was the youngest daughter of the king

and the most loved, but she wasn’t pretty.

The king thought that the bull had made a mistake

so he decided to hand over Jade.

Jade which was a year older than Rachel.

Jade and Rachel looked kind of similar and yet Jade

wasn’t just beautiful she was gorgeous.

The day of the ceremony arrived

and everything was done the same as every year;

delivering the heart to the statue,

but this time the statue turned red and began to speak.

"Because you disobeyed my orders, this will be your punishment." said the Bull

In the blink of an eye, a fire began to fall and the kingdom began to burn.

Each princess died one by one as they drew blood from their mouths.

The king scared implored for mercy. While all of this was happening

Rachel remained standing, then the bull said.

"Because you did not obey and wanted to see your daughter alive.

I will fulfill your last will.

Rachel, from today on, I will not let you die.

You will live carrying the sins of your people and

reliving these memories again and again in solitude.

You will be your sister's substitute

and everyone who looks at you will fall for your beauty.

however, whoever tries to be with you ... will die.

The bull wounded the princess's eyes,

giving her crimson red color irises.

The red color eyes representing all the blood that her people had shed.

The king who was still watching realized how wrong he was.

Turning to face him, the Bull pierced

his heart with an Estoque sword ending his life.

The king died with his eyes open.

The now beautiful Rachel in shock laughs out loud.
