I tried to escape the flames but they closed every exit...

Before I knew it I was on a cliff under the moon and stars...it was beautiful..I watched as the stars danced and the solitude moon stood out brighter in the dark night...it was perfect.

I turned to my side and there he was..sitting next to me..I stopped and gazed upon his face illuminated by the moonlight...

He slowly moved closer towards me..and I couldn't move..my heart was beating so fast...he moved closer...but just as he was about to close the distance between us..he turned into the person I never want to see, Howard Denyrion...I stood up and lost my balance....

The next thing I knew..I was no longer on the cliff under the night sky..I was falling into a deep abyss full of darkness...not even a hint of light came through....

As I fell more and more a hint of orange light shone from the bottom...

I-It....w-was...a dream.....

But....why did it feel so real.....

I sat up. It was morning already..I looked up on the bed and he was still there sound asleep.

I wonder what this guy's background is...how did he get stabbed and how did he end up on the creek...he's so mysterious...I haven't seen him in the capital..could he be from another Kingdom? Wait...if he's not from here then...could he be...ONE OF THE DENARIANS?!!

I stood up in shock but immediately recovered.

No..I shouldn't jump to conclusions..I still have no proof...I'll ask him when he wakes up.

I went out of the room and through the hall..on my way I saw a white cat sleeping on the corner.

"Awww....so cute..." I couldn't help but stroke its ears...his fur is as white as snow...

"Ahh..I see you met Mingi.."

"Ahhh..grandma...g-good morning......M-Mingi...?"

"Yes..a peculiar little fella...he acts and thinks like a human..but still...very cute.." she said while stroking her white fur.

"I'm going off into town.." she said while grabbing a coat and a hat from one of the rooms

"L-Let me go with you..."

"Ahh..no need..this old grandma still has some muscle power! Just stay here and look after the house.. be sure to change the guy's wound dressing...and don't get it wet! It might get infected..."

She said while getting a bag and heading for the front door.

"Well...I'm off!" She said while walking out the front door.

"Take care...grandma!!" I said to her waving goodbye.

"Now what...?" I picked up the cat that was laying on the floor. I went to a bookshelf that was filled with tons of books..

"Aha! Found one..."

It was an old book. I dusted off the cover and flipped open some pages.

This will keep me from getting bored..

"Meeooowww..." Mingi yawned in my arms, seeming to like my gentle stroking.

"Mingi..." I called out to him.

"Meow??" He responded.

Woah..he really is like a human.

"Meoowww" he suddenky jumped from my arms and went towards the hall. I just let him be and continued with my reading.

Huh...oh shoot..I forgot...I gotta change the dressing of the wound...it..should be fine since he's still asleep...

I got the bandages on the table and set the book I was reading aside.

Huh..where's Mingi...I gotta feed him first..maybe he's hungry..

I went to the kitchen first and grabbed a bowl and some cat food. I set it by the table and went to my next task.

Mnn...here we go..

Willem's POV

"Ugh...ouch......"

"Meoowww..."

Huh...a cat..?

I woke up to a furry little creature resting on top of me.

Cute little fella..

"Meeeoooowwww"

"Hey there little guy...do you know where I am.."

He didn't respond..Yet he seemed to like me rubbing its ears.

I must be going crazy..talking to a cat..hehe...

"Do you know where your owner is?" I asked again..hoping to find atleast something.

The cat jumped off of me and went towards the door. He stopped right in front of it and scratched the wood.

It's no use..

"Do you want to go out?"

"Meoww!" He responded

I opened the door...

Thump

W-What?!!

Something or someone just bumped into me...
