Episode 11

Ophelia's pov:

A good sunny Saturday with no parents at home just you and your annoying siblings "Hey Ophelia" my sister whispered "What?! I made you guys breakfast, stop torturing me" I said annoyed "I didn't come here for that, I think our brother is crazy he's talking to himself" I knew that kid came from the mental hospital.

As we reached his room we heard him reciting some phrase with some weird british accent "What's going on here?!" I burst through the door "Oh my G- what's up with you?!" my brother yelled "What's up with you talking to yourself and wearing a costume from the dumpster?" I asked "And what's up with the script?" my sister added "I was never studying law like you guys thought instead I was going to Theater School. Please don't tell Dad, I'll do anything" he went on his knees.

"So you lied to us all this time, what will happen when dad finds out?!" I said angrily "I'll have to come forward with the truth I guess" the aducity of him smiling in a situation like this "I'm not taking part in this" my sister put her hand up in surrender "Guys please help me, Dad is expecting to see my BAR exam results tomorrow" oh no! "Why didn't you tell him at first?" this better be a good reason for him to hide such thing.

"Well I was going to tell him and that's when I heard him speaking over the phone that I had good grades in high school and I was going to law school to become a lawyer just like him so I didn't want to ruin the moment" just then the door rang. I quickly rush down downstairs and open the door only to see Teng fei "Hi, come on in" I open the door wider so he could come in "I bought this for you" he gave me a bouquet of roses "Thank you, they smell nice" I smelt them "Mr. Huang your here" my little sister ran downstairs to give Teng fei a hug.

"Hi janice, you look pretty today" how come he didn't tell me I was pretty?! "Thank you" she said as she glared at me "You-" I stopped as I heard the door clicking "Mom, Dad you guys are home early" I said with nervousness "We both decided to come home early as our son is soon getting his results for the BAR exams is out today" she continued "I wanted us to have a special dinner tonight as a little celebration for our boy. Teng fei I see your here too, you should stay to have dinner with us" I gestured him to say yes "Sure, can I help with anything?" he asked.

"No, you just go an relax with the kids besides I love to be in the kitchen alone" she spoke "Then we'll be upstairs" I said before dragging both my sister and Teng fei upstairs to my brothers room "Luke your are doomed" I said as I entered "Why?" the nerve of this child to be calm "The BAR exams results are out today instead of tomorrow" his eyes went big "Well the only option is to commit suicide before Dad actually make it look like you commit suicide" every give my sister 'WTF' look.

"What?! atleast I'm trying to help him!" my sister said. We then spent about an hour contemplating what we should do and that's until mom called us for dinner "Just act natural" I try to brighten his mood "Natural? when you about to face your biggest fear in your life" I just sigh and went downstairs. As we came downstairs the table was packed with all our favorite foods "Come sit down and stop staring" we then went an sit.

We ate dinner in silence until Dad mentioned about the exams "So, was the exams easy?" my brother choked on his drink, after he calmed down he spoke "Dad the thing is I wasn't goings to law school instead I was going to this school Theater school of Arts. I know you don't like liars but here I am to tell you I'm sorry" he said sincerely, the place was silent until Dad and mom began laughing.

"I want to show this moment on your wedding day, you got me cracking" mom laughed "You thought we wouldn't find out after you've been acting weird" everyone looked at them in disbelief "I'm proud of you son infact I never wanted to focus on law, I wanted you to follow your dreams like your big sister did" and we were like worrying "But if you try anything with drugs I'll be the one sending your a*s to jail" my father warned.

After dinner I walked Teng fei to his car "Thank you for the dinner tonight" he said "You should have thank mom not me" I told "Then tell your mom I said Thank you" he smiled "Well-" he kissed me on the cheek which caught me off guard "I'll call you tomorrow, bye" he said before entering his car and driving away. I really need to get use to his sudden kisses.
