The bell rang to go home and I rushed out of the bathroom as fast as I could . I tried zooming past people but was pushed and bumped along the way . " Heaven ? " My friend Avery calls from behind but I just keep moving . I'm finally out , I felt free . I decided to walk home . Buses we're passing by me , there windows down . I heard people yell " ***** ! " " Slut ! " " Hoe ! " And many more . I ignored it as best as I could . I went a different route home . Down an alley . I was looking down the whole time until I heard a group of boys laughing . I looked up and there he was . Nick Bennet . I stopped in my tracks and everything went black . I woke up and the sky was as dark as ever . My hair was out of its bun and my tank top was ripped . I looked around to see if anyone was there . There was an excruciating pain on the back of my head . I sat up and felt my head . My hair was wet and so was the floor . I wince in pain . I could'nt tell her what the people said . Sol try to make up something quick . " I was walking and I tripped and hit my head . " | say . " You weren't walking.home were you dear ? " She asks . " No " I lie . " Lets take a look at your head . " I turn around and she gasps . " Lets go now ! " She panics again . " Where are we going ?? " | ask . " We need to get you to the hospital right now " we rush to the hospital . I see her getting out the car and running inside to find a doctor . My head is burning . The last thing I see are doctors running towards me . Everything goes black . I slowly wake to see doctors and nurses pushing me on a hospital bed to the emergency area . Everyone is talking but I can't hear them . I see the nanny walking by my side . Everything goes black again . Beep beep beep I hear the machine beeping as I open my eyes . I look around and see a whole bunch of machines attached to me . A nurse comes into the room . " Oh your awake . " She says . I stared at her . " There is someone that would like to see you . " She smiles . Then leaves the room . A moment later Avery comes in . I'm so glad to see her . She hugs me tightly and cries . I couldn't help but cry too . We both cried for a while . " What happened ? " She asks taking a seat . " I blacked out when I saw him " | responded . " Heaven , I need you to trust me and tell me everything . Please I'm your best friend . " She sadly says . " The night at the party me and Nick went into the woods .. " I started . " .. we kissed , I thought he really liked me . But I was wrong . Avery ..... " | paused and burst into tears . We just stood there in silence hugging each other . Until there was a knock at the door . It was Avery's mom . " Come on sweetie we have to go " she said . " Aww Ok " Avery said . Making her way off the bed . " Heaven I will try to come back as soon as I can " Avery told me . " Thank you " I say happily . " Here " Avery says taking off her favorite necklace . " I want you to have it " she says giving it to me . " But you never go anywhere without it " I say . " I know but sometimes we have to give our most valued possession to someone who needs it most . " She says giving me one last hug . " Thank you " I whisper . " Your welcome " she says leaving . My nanny walks in and gives my a hug . " What happened ? " I ask even though I already know . " You had a nail in your head dear . If it would have moved an inch to the right you would have lost your memory dear . " She explains . I didn't say anything more . I tightly held that beautiful necklace in my hand and held it to my heart . I could'nt even imagine forgetting Avery . A tear slipped my eye . The nanny held me close and hummed to me as I fell fast asleep .
