Episode 4

I walk away from the car, only to see it stay put. Confused, I decided to ignore it as I approached my house. The tall doors make me feel ever so small. I reached into my pocket for my keys only to remember I had left them on my mattress for a bed. Now I can only knock on the doors, wishing with all my might not to get into much trouble. I knock on the door nervously, each knock thumping at the door. Not knowing which is shaking more my fists from knocking, or myself from fear. “Mom” opens the door looking irritated. She pulls me inside my feet dragging against the floor, messing up the rug.“Home already?” she asks clearly upset I didn't take longer. “Yes,” I pause briefly. “Jackson Hue gave me a ride home,” I continue while fixing the rug, that way I don't have to look at the anger in her eyes. “You did what?” she says in a very angry voice. As I look up from the rug I notice that her eyes looking as though they could turn someone to stone just by looking at them. Somewhat scared I end up giving up and not trying to avoid the inevitable. I stand still and squint as I see her raise her hand. She smiles taking enjoyment from seeing me like this as she says “You don’t know anything do you?” Just as I brace myself for something that never happens. A few seconds later I turn my head to see “Mom’s” arm held back by someone else's. As my vision goes back to normal from holding them shut, I realize that it wasn't just anyone, but Jackson Hue. “I’ll be taking her with me if you don’t mind” He tells her while grabbing my shoulder and pulling me to him before letting go of her arm. “Wait...What...Uh...Why do you want her?” she asks baffled. Although I never thought I would agree with her, at this moment I did. “Why would he want me?” I think to myself. Meanwhile “Dad” walks into the room. At first he storms over angry, but as soon as he sees Jackson, his frown twisted upside down. “Ah.. Jackson, my boy what seems to be the issue?” he asks smiling, only breaking it for a quick second to glare at me in his arms. “I will agree to the contract and give you a hundred thousand bonus if i can have your daughter.” he tells him ignoring his smile and becoming cold as though he was a different person entirely. “Dad” looks at him in shock. Of course he then responds with “If it's Lily you want you can take her, we never wanted her anyway. Pleasure doing business with you.” Any person in their right mind would feel sad and upset right about now but instead I was curious. It didn't bother me, I was used to this. But I wasn't used to not being able to see someone's past or future. Jackson Hue was just as mysterious as rumored. Jackson, gave a quiet relieved sigh as he muttered something under his breath and pulled me out of there as sly and fast as he came in.
