Episode 17

Ging walked out of the room into the kitchen. Hail rapped his arms round Laila. She stood nervously as he kissed her neck, sucking it.

He pulled away. She stepped away to walk away, he grabbed her hand and turned her to face him.  He rapped his arms round her she stared into his secretive eyes.  ‘I love you Laila.’

‘Got a funny way of showing it.’

‘Me and you now a new beginning, a fresh start.’

He placed his lips on hers kissing her before she had a chance to reflect.

He kissed her harder until she returned his kiss, felling sick with anxiety.

He pulled away and loosed her taking her hand leading her over to the sofa.

They slouched down on it. He placed his arm round her holding her close her hand in his.

Ging walked back into the sitting area placing the coffee’s on the floor. ‘So you two sorted things?’ he asked sitting down

Hail smiled knowing that things were far from sorted.

‘Well at least there will be nowhere for you to run aye babe.’

She smiled vaguely didn’t she know I, and how true it was.

They laughed.

Ging saw the evil spark in Hail’s eyes he didn’t like it at all. Laila hadn’t noticed it she picked up her coffee sipping it.

‘I’m off to bed.’

Hail loosed her hand. She pulled herself up. ‘I’ll be in shortly babe.’

She smiled hoping that he wouldn’t, hoping that he’d sleep on the sofa.

She walked away.

Ging winked at her as she passed.

She smiled at him briefly.

She closed the bedroom door.

‘What’s going on?’ Ging whispered.

‘Why you whispering?’

‘So she don’t hear me.  What the fuck’s going on?’

‘Nothing.’

‘Bull shit you’re up to something.’

‘She’s going to pay she’s going to get what’s coming to her.’

‘Don’t **** this up for me bro.’

‘I won’t chill there’s more than one way to bring someone down.’

‘Please bro don’t do anything reckless.’

‘I thought you’d be pleased to get her out of the way for stabbing us in the back?’

‘She may have done us a favour.’

‘How? We could’ve got caught.’

‘We didn’t.’

‘So how’s she doing us a favour apart from being here?’

‘The movie bro her revealing the bodies could be a big part of it.’

‘What are you on?’

‘Come on bro there’s always loads of dead bodies in movies it will get us a better chance of success.’

‘What-ever! But she’s still going to get what’s coming to her ‘

‘Just wait till after the movie that’s all I’m asking.’

‘I will.’

‘Cheers bro.’

They drank their coffees.

‘Well I’m off to bed.’

‘Remember what I said.’

‘I will.’

Hail walked out of the room into the bedroom closing the door behind him.

He lay on the bed placing his arm over Laila.

She jumped.

‘You awake babe?’

‘I wasn’t till you woke me.’

‘Can we talk?’

‘What about I’m tired.’

‘Please it’s important.’

Laila turned facing Hail, her eyes meeting his. ‘What is it Hail?’

‘Did you ever love me?’

‘What’s brought this on?’

‘Just answer me Lailah did you?’

‘Yeah I felt close to you, I had no one else you made me feel wanted.’

‘So what changed?’

‘The movie I saw the way you looked at me it was the same way you looked at me in the flat.’

‘I’m sorry.’

‘It’s too late for that now you proved to me that you didn’t really want me, and you could kill me whenever or wherever you pleased.’

‘Can you ever love me again?’

‘I don’t know Hail.’

‘Can you try?’

‘I don’t know.’

‘Please love me again.’

‘What if you try and kill me again?’

‘I won’t I promise.’

She looked at him.

‘I promise just love me back.’

‘I’ll try.’

He smiled knowing once she’d fallen for him all over again he could do anything he pleased even kill her.

He placed his lips on hers kissing her, she returned his kiss un-aware of his plans.

He pulled himself on top of her making love to her kissing her hungrily.

He pulled away gliding his hand down her face.  ‘I love you Laila, nothing’s going to stop me from loving you and I’ll prove it if I have too.’

‘You don’t have to I already know.’

He smiled.

He placed his lips on hers kissing her.

He took his hand off her face and lay besides her his arm sprigged across her, closing his eyes.
