Chapter 5: Getting Ready

“Please Fallon, just this once.” Brianna asked Fallon on the phone.

She’s on her way home now and was picked up by Martin and Lynn with their family car.

“I really can’t.” Fallon rejected her for the sixth time.

“Why not?” Brianna whined. She asked a favour to Fallon to be the one to visit Carlisle because she really hates to go there.

“It’s a surprise.” Fallon said and made an evil laugh.

Brianna sighed. “Okay then. I’ll talk to you later.” She ended the phone call.

Haley also rejected Brianna’s favour because they went out to have a family dinner. Brianna looked out the window and rested her head on it.

“Do you want to have supper in your house Miss Brianna? Or do you want to eat somewhere else?” The driver asked her.

Brianna looked in front and smiled. “You already know the restaurant I would like to go and have supper.” She said.

Lynn, who is one of the helpers in their house, was also with them. “You heard the boss.” Lynn said to Martin and they laughed.

After they had their meals, they went home.

Brianna was greeted by Snow as she opened the door of their house. Snow is their family pet dog and she was named after they got her during winter and snow was already falling, and especially since the color of her fur is white.

“Hi Snow.” Brianna carried Snow and went straight inside her bedroom.

She closed the door and put down Snow. She then placed the bouquet of flowers on the table beside her bed. She jumped and flopped on her bed where Snow climbed and licked her face.

Brianna smiled at Snow and sighed as she looked inside her music room. She went there and placed herself in front of the grand piano. She hummed and stared at the keys of the piano. She sat and positioned her fingers on the keys. She played beautifully and sang her heart out.

Whenever she can’t express herself or just want to let her thoughts out, she sings and sometimes that’s her way to communicate to other people.

~7:23 pm~

After showering, she went inside her closet to pick out clothes. She wore a tweed cropped button-down longsleeves and paired it with a tweed pencil skirt, dominant with the color black and had white and gold linings that had the same design of her top. Her outfit complimented the shape of her body and her porcelain skin.

She sprayed on her favourite lavender scent perfume and wore a necklace. She put on a black high pair of heels and went to the vanity area. She brushed her long wavy hair and took her white shoulder bag.

Brianna grabbed the bouquet of flowers for Carlisle and went downstairs.

“Where are you going?” Brian asked her. He looked at her sister and saw the bouquet of flowers she was holding. “Who’s that from?” He frowned at Brianna and smirked. “You went on a date, did you?” He teased Brianna.

“Can’t you see that I'm walking towards the garage door?” Brianna looked directly at Brian and had her casual poker face on. “It means I’m about to go out, dumbass.” Brianna walked towards the door.

“Do you want me to accompany you?” Brian said but her sister refused to.

“What a brat.” Brian said after Brianna closed the garage door.

He made a face and saw Snow coming down the stairs. He smiled and chuckled.

“Hey baby Snow, what are you doing inside that brat’s room?” He carried Snow and played with her cheerfully.
