Chapter - 5

Ashley spent two days remaining idle wandering through the streets and was amazed about the whole place. In palace, she was always surrounded by guards and had to wear formal clothes while roaming outside and she always felt it quite boring.

Now after being free, she wore what normal people wore a pair of sweatpant with hoodie and her hair tied up in a simple rough bun. She was not recognized by anyone as she took smell decieving pill.

She walked towards a park and sat on a park bench quietly. She looked up in the sky and let out a long breath. She started to think.

" Its quiet amazing to have normal life. No wonder Zune kept nagging to step out of palace in secret specially avoiding her bodyguards. I remember she often argued with Kyle when she was not allowed to go out. Only if that incident never happened, she would be so happy with her family. Now I can only wait for a right time to rescue her and take her away back to family."

She was lost in a thought while a ball hit her leg. A boy came running and immediately took the ball. " I'm sorry sister. Are you alright?"

She looked at the boy who was around 9,10 years old holding a ball and waiting for her reply. " Oh..I'm fine. No need to say sorry." Ashley said with a smile.

The boy turned around walked a few distance but she stopped him " Hey kid, can I join? " Ashley said with a doubt.

" Um..Sister aren't you little old for playing with us?" The boy said with doubtful expression.

Ashley thought to herself scratching or head " Ay..What's wrong with me? I'm actually asking for a kid to play?"

" Anyways I'm free, no one knows me here and moreover I always wanted to play football but was not allowed saying I was a princess. Now who will stop me. Come on Ashley live your life." She shrugged her shoulder and went towards boy with a faint smirk.

" Kid, let me tell you one thing, fun in life never look out for age. If you have wish you can play football even if you are 80 years old." She carresed the boy's hair.

" I don't understand what you said but if you are really willing seriously, you can join us. But do you really know how to play??" The boy replied.

" Ah..about that. Actually, I have watched in TV several times but I can try right ??" Ashley said back.

" Okay then, I can teach you. But first let me introduce myself. I'm Jereff, you can call me Jeff." The boy streched his hand for handshake.

" Nice to meet you Jeff. I'm Evan and you can call me Evan haha" Ashley shaked hand and went towards playground where the other friends of boy were waiting.

" Hey Jeff, you got the ball? " one of the boy replied.

" Yes and I also got a new teammate, anyways we lacked one. She is Evan and she was insisting to play along. We can fill in the gap." Jeff said pointing towards Ashley.

All the boys looked at her surprisingly while she was waving her hands saying hello. The boys waved back with the unchanged surprised expression.

After few conversations all the boys felt comfortable with Ashley tagging along with them and taught her about rules as long as ways to play the game.

They started the game and Ashley was struggling to play but she was running around enjoying. At one point she got the chance to kick the ball but out of excitement she let out her vampire strength and the fall flew out of playground and hit someone.

All of them watched the ball while it flew away and hit a person. Ashley felt familiar with the person who got hit and was about to ask the boys but when she turned back there was no one. Everyone had already fled from the ground out of fear.

" What a coward kids. They betrayed me just like that??" She thought to herself and let out a chuckle but when she turned to watch the person she was shocked as that person was right infront of her.

" Aaaah.." She let out a scream and stepped back closing her eyes.

She looked and realized it was Jack infront of her.

" Oh, its you wolfy?? You scared me." She said letting out a long breath.

" What did you call me??" He replied with a angry voice and stepped towards her.

" Woah Wolfy?? Step back. Are you pulling out a prank on me again?? You look more stupid when you act angry you know?" Ashley let out a laugh stepping backward.

" Just a little wolverine, you dare to hit me with a ball and again laugh at me?? Where did you get that courage from??" He didn't stop moving forward.

" Wolverine?? Did that ball hit your head so hard or what? Look clearly Jack, I'm Evan. I don't think the smell decieving potion changed my face. Even if it did, you should have told me earlier that it not only supresses my vampire smell but also my beautiful face." Ashley said touching her face.

" Vampire? Smell decieving potion? Traitor?" Saying this he suddenly garbbed Ashley's neck with a fierce angry look.

" L-..Let..go of me.." Ashley said struggling to get rid of his hand which was pressing her throat.

" I will never let a traitor go specially when its a Vampire." He groaned and pressed more harder.

Ashley was chocking and she had no idea why Jack was acting to strangely. She had used up her power earlier so she was helpless now. She figured out a idea and raised her knee to hit him on his sensitive spot with all her force.

He let go of her neck and groaned in a pain falling to the ground. Ashley finally let out fast breath holding her neck.

" I don't know what's wrong with you or what is going on with you. But let me make you crystal clear, I'M NOT A TRAITOR. You promised to help me and now you are backing up. I just hate you. I should have never trusted a werewolf for favor. I saved your life and you are after my life now. Ungrateful animal."

Saying this she looked at Jack once with disgust in her eyes and without having second thought ran away from her.

Before she could run further, Jack shouted calling for guards and all the guards surrounded her pointing gun at her. She was puzzled with all the action and passed out at once as she nearly had death from chocking.
