Episode 5

ALEJANDRO'S POV

Grace had been talking to someone for such a long time, maybe her brother. She had told me more about her brother than herself. But the reason I was with her was because I wanted to avenge my mother. Two weeks before I shifted my school to hers, I got to know that dad had been cheating on mom, for such a long time.

He even had two other kids with someone else even before he met mom. I mean he was my stepfather . He came into my life after my real dad had died of Lukemia. I was six that time. He never made me miss my real dad and getting to know after this long that he had another family too was pretty devastating for me but more for my mom.

That evening I went to his room while he was still outside. I searched his drawer and saw here and there. Until my hand landed on one picture in particular. A picture of a woman and two kids . I looked at the back of the picture and saw what was written "18th August 2008".

"Alejandro what are you doing here?",my dad called me from behind while I was seeing the picture. I turned to him and said.

"What is this dad?",my eyes were full of anger.

"W..what?", He asked and came towards me . I showed him the image and his face froze.

"You have been hiding this from mom and me? FOR HOW LONG?", I shouted at him in frustrating and anger. He took the picture from my hand and observed it closely.

"This is ...Valentina..and these two are--"

"Your kids?"

"Y..yes..",he said as if half torn .

"HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THIS?MY MOM LOVES YOU AND IF I TELL THIS TO HER. WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL HAPPEN TO HER?",I said and he caught me by my shoulders.

"Son listen to me--", he said.

"Don't call me your son. You already had a family. And yet for the past 13 years you hid it from mom?"

"No I had my reasons..."

"F*ck your reasons! And f*ck your family. I just care about my mom. I have lost every single respect I had for you ."

"No please don't--",he was continuing when a voice came from behind.

"Is ..is it true?",we turned behind to see mom at the doorstep. Her tears came out and she was looking right at him. She continued, "Roberto..is what Alejandro says true? You already had another family?"

"Fernanda listen to me..."

"NO", shouted my mom with her tears coming out and she ran out of there.

I followed her calling her name .

"MOM STOP! COME BACK. WE CAN FIGURE IT OUT. STOP MOM" ,I cried as I followed her outside the house. But before I could realise she was hit by a truck. I saw her body being hit by the truck and it flew like a lifeless leaf in front of my eyes and dashed on the road.

"MOM!!!!", I shouted. I ran towards her as fast as I could. I picked her lifeless body from the road and checked her pulse.

God. Still breathing. I took a sign of relief and called an ambulance as fast as I could. My da-- Roberto came out hurriedly towards me but I shouted in anger with my mother in my arms.

"DON'T COME NEAR US! STAY AWAY FROM US! ", I said warning him and he stood there quietly. The ambulance came and I rushed my mom to the hospital. She was in the ICU and the doctor told me that she was out of danger but had recieved a big trauma due to which it's gonna be difficult for them to show her a new way to life. They told me that it can happen that my mom recovers from the injury but the shock she had got was quite shakening and so they'd keep her in the hospital for some time.

I came out after filling the formality papers and saw dad sitting outside. Anger filled me and I took him by his collar and asked.

"Mr. Roberto now! I'll ask you..."

"A.. Alejandro..c..calm.d..down.."

"Shut up! You know it's all because of you that my mom is at this stage where she has lost all her faith in people. DO YOU UNDERSTAND SHE IS IN THIS TRAUMA BECAUSE OF YOU!",I shouted in anger and the receptionist said.

"Excuse me sir,this is not the place to shout like hooligans."

I left his shirt and moved back. I glared at him and he sat there on the seat . I left the hospital warning my dad not to go and talk to my mom . I went back home and packed my bag. I had decided to go to that woman who was Roberto's first wife. I will go and persuade her to leave him by giving him Divorce and then my mom and he can live together. I know I have no respect left for him but my mom needs him. I've seen how much she's been in love with him and I know that she will accept him.back if he gives her any unreasonable explanation.

I went to Roberto's room and opened the drawer. There was a diary there. I opened it and read.

"This mot*erfu*ker has a whole diary written on his first wife and kids.", I read their names,"Valentina...Leonardo..and Samantha....live in Barcelona", I pulled out my phone and made a call," Hi..Louis I'm going to Barcelona next week. Buy me a ticket from Valencia to Barcelona. Yea .next week. I'll pay you soon bye ", I cut the call and now pushed the diary Roberto wrote into my bag and made my way out of the house.

The next place I stop by was Liliana's house.

Liliana my girlfriend for the past year . She's been there since my childhood and we got into a relationship when she broke up with her ex. I had always liked her since we were kids. She was actually the most beautiful girl I'd seen in my life and it was already dark when I knocked at her doorsteps. It took her ten minuted to open the door. When she opened the door she smiled and said.

"A..Alejandro..w..what are you doing here?"

I go over to hug her. Breathing her sent was like my relief. I held her in my arms and she hugged back. I pulled back. She pushed my hair back from my face and held it.

"Hey Alejandro h..how come you're here at this hour?"

"I actually had a really bad day!"

"Awww baby it's fine. Come here "

She hugged me and I felt the all the tension leave my body.

"I'm going to Barcelona for some time. "

"Huh? Are you?"

"Yea", I said making my way In the house.

"B..baby why are you coming inside?"

"Why?", I laughed, "your parents aren't home are they? I mean they don't usually come and meet you since you left their house and moved here. Baby now we both can be together at any hour! Right?"

I pinched her nose and pulled her inside. I was actually still sad but I didn't want to give her tension by telling her what had happened. I played happy and pulled her in her room. I was in real need of comfort right now and my Liliana was the best at it. I loved how she caressed my hair . It was what she did when we were kids too.

"Alejandro stop! I am in no-", she said but I looked at her as we reached her room.

"Babe? What happened? You were never this angry when I came--"

"Lily Darlin what's the commotion outside"

I heard a voice and turned back.

"Rian?", I said looking at Liliana's ex who just came out of the shower.
