The twins walk through the door. after walking for a while, Nedla stops and grabs his twin. Folcon turns and looks at her brother. Nedla puts a finger to his lips and points up to a light on the ceiling of the cave a few feet away. "fire bats." Folcon breaths in horror. One thing she remembers from the summoning trial lessons was about the fire bats in the test of knowledge. "I guess that we are now in the test of knowledge." Nedla whispers. Folcon looks away from the fire bats. Fire bats are one of the most deadest fire animals around. They are completely made of fire and a little bit of earth. Even one alone can kill up to then people. They are always asleep its when they are a waking they go on a hunt. "I believe so. Do you remember how to get pass the bats. I remember that they are sensitive to sound." Nedla nods to his sister. "As long as they stay asleep we're fine. Through if they wake up we most drop to the ground and crawl to safety." The nod to each other and start walking once more.
They walk and glace up once in while. They are now half way pass the bats. Suddenly a loud sound comes from behind. They start hearing streaks and flipping of wings. "Crap, run!" Nedla yells grabbing Folcön's hand. They run as fast as they can. Nedla turns back and shoots a large fireball at the cloud of bats. "What was that for?" Folcön asks as they start running once more. Suddenly they stop as they reach the end of a cliff. They look around looking for a way to get out of the danger zone. Nedla picks up a rock and tosses it into the abyss. "No sound there's no telling how deep it is. So using our fire to draft down is out." Folcön looks closely at the other side of the abyss. "Ned look there's a ledge down there." Folcön points to the ledge across the abyss. "Maybe we and use our fire to propel us across the abyss and to the ledge."
Nedla smiles at his sister and says "alright, on the count of three. One." Nedla and Folcön get ready to jump. "Two." They say together as they light up their hands. "Three!" They jump just as the bats burst out of the cave behind them. Luckily the bats went up while the twins went down. Using their fire to propel them forward. Folcön starts feeling light headed as her power starts to fade. 'Almost there just a little more power.' Nedla lands on the ledge and turns just in time to see Folcön's flames go out. Nedla quickly reaches out and catches her hand. Nedla yells in pain as arm hits the edge of the ledge. Nedla now on his stomach and his left arm holding his sister. "Cön are you alright?" Folcön shakes the dizziness out of her head. She looks up and sees her brother holding her. She also feels something warm running down her hand and arm.
"Give me your other hand and I'll pull you up." Nedla holds out his other hand for Folcön. Folcön grabs it and Nedla pulls her up and over the ledge. They crawl away from it to the mouth of the new cave. Suddenly light appears and they are now able to clearly see each other. Folcön looks down at her right hand and sees it covered in blood she knew instantly that it wasn't hers. Folcön runs to her brother's side. He was breathing heavily and was sweating. "Ned take off your robe let me see your arm." Nedla slowly takes off his robe with Folcön's help. Luckily he decided to wear pants and the robe. Folcön rolls her eyes at him before gently picking up his left arm. Nedla hisses in pain. Folcön sees a large cut down the inside of his forearm. Folcön gently sets it back down.
She opens her satchel she pull out her waterskin. Folcön rips off the left sleeve of her robe. Then rips it into two pieces. With one she pours water on it and cleans the wound. With the other she wraps it tightly around the wound. "We're almost done. Can you walk or do you need help?" Folcön ask seeing her brother look like he is in a lot of pain. "I'm alright. Let's go." Nedla slow gets up and starts walk occasionally hissing in pain. Soon they make it into a large room with all kinds of swords and bows. In the center of the room is another sign. "Only two of the weapons are real one is a bow and one is a sword. Choose wisely." Nedla reads out loud as Folcön looks at the swords. "How do we know which ones are real they all look real and feel real as well." Folcön says as she picks up a short sword. She frowns at the sword for some reason it feels wrong to hold it. She puts it back. Suddenly a pure black sword catches her eye. She picks it up. It was heavy but not enough to make it difficult to fight. She examines the blade. Right next to the hilt was a fire emblem and a small line from the emblem close to the tip of the blade. The hilt is a phoenix and at the end of the hilt was a ribbon. Folcön looks at her brother who was holding a red and black bow it also had the fire emblem. Suddenly all the weapons disappears but the two in their hands.
"How can you use a bow without arrows and an injured arm?" Folcön looks at her brother worried and confused. Nedla hissing in pain as he pulls back the bow string with his left arm. The fire emblem on the bow lights up and an arrow made of fire appears like it was always there. Nedla lefts go of the string and the arrow flys throw the air and dissolves into the wall. The black mark on the wall left by the fire arrow. "Wow did you know it would do that?" Folcön asks with wide eyes. "Nope but I do now." Folcön looks at her sword wondering if it two can do more then a normal sword. She smiles as she imagine it lighting on fire. "Cön how did you do that?" Folcön looks at her brother confused. Nedla points to the sword in his sister's hand. Folcön looks back at her sword only to see it was on fire. Just like how she imagined in her head. "That is so cool." Their excitement is very short lived at a large booming sound echoes through the room. "Please tell me that was in my head." Folcön says looking for the source of the noise. "I wish I could but I hear it too." Nedla looks around as well.
Suddenly the far wall crumbles revealing a giant lava golem and a fire bird spirit flies in. Nedla pulls back the string of his bow ignoring his pain and shoots at the fire spirit. Folcön runs and attack the golem. The golem throws Folcön to the other side of the room. "Cön go after the center of the chest that's the weak spot!" Nedla yells as he shoots at the spirit it is very first. He needs to predict where it will go. Folcön looks at the center of the golem's chest and there is a glowing fire emblem just like the one one her sword and the bow. Folcön runs to attack the center only to be thrown again. The golem closely watching her she can't get close enough. Nedla smiles as he gets an idea. "Cön tricksters." Folcön looks at her brother confused at what he meant but then she smiles. Whenever they are up against two on two they would suddenly switch places confusing them. Folcön runs towards the golem again but this times as golem goes to attack Folcön jumps onto it's arm then jumps backwards into the air towards the fire spirit. At the same time Nedla turns and shoots and arrow through the center of the glowing emblem on the golem. Folcön slices the spirit in half and lands on her feet. They smile at each other and continue to their final test.
