Well, shit is going to hit the roof once Drake finds out, and this is exactly what David wanted to happen. He knew Eric is madly in love with Ruth and he was gambling on the fact that he would be more assertive and he would take her virginity and then Drake would blow up. Thankfully it didn't happen, but he still touched her and it was for Pappa to see so it's not like they can act and say that nothing happened or Drake is going to think she's been cheating on him with Eric.
