Hey again
--------------------------------
Taya's POV
I just sat there blinking rapidly trying to understand what had happened and why my blood and heart were so loud in my ears. I felt like I could just skip around and jump for days with the way my heart was beating. As soon as Thomas had started leaning towards me I had already been sucked into a vortex of no control. The fact that he was able to pull away probably meant that he didn't feel even a tiny amount of what I felt. Although the thought of it drained all the coursing energy out of me I still hoped that he'd felt even a pinch of the electricity that I had felt shock through me.
"Did you feel what I felt?" I couldn't help but ask, I needed to know if it was just me. I didn't want to get my hopes up but I could feel my eyes feeling with tears as I watched him thinking carefully about the answer he was going to give me.
"If by 'feel what you felt' you mean my body being hit by what felt like a lightning bolt filled such power that if I was standing I'd been taken to my knees? Then yes, I felt it. What'd you feel if not that?" His description of the kiss was beautiful as if he was reciting a poem and it me a second to say something that exemplified how kiss just as well as he had.
"It was like as soon as our lips touched I was hit by a tidal wave of power that was threatening to drag me in and not let me out, had it not been for you pulling away I would've gladly let the current take me with it," there was a small amount of disdain in my voice because he'd ruined my first kiss, but I knew that my voice was stilled filled with wonder from the power that even now, still coursed through me.
"You've no idea how hard it was to resist the pull of your spirit and the tidal wave you spoke of dragging me in. I would've joined gone with the flow if it wasn't for the fact that I didn't want to overstep my bounds during only our second meeting." The fact that just him honoring my wishes, and wanting to get my permission, told me how good and honest of a man Thomas was and I couldn't help but feel tears rise to my eyes had his will power and kindness.
Stunned by my sudden change in emotion Thomas grabbed my face softly in both hand looking into my eyes, "I don't know why your crying and I hope I haven't hurt you. Before the men start to seriously look for us I'd like to tell you how I'd feel," still feeling stunned by his pure heart I only nodded my head. "I've been alone most of my life and have only ever had one friend. My parents although I wasting with them or long had a love that you read about in myths. They never took anything they were given for granted, including me," the last part was said softly telling me that this story wasn't going to have a happy ending. I placed my hand atop his that was still on my cheek and sent my silent thoughts of encouragement through our touch. Feeling my encouragement he looked me and the and gave a small almost sad smile then continued on with his story, "I've always been different from the average human or even magical creature. To be honest when I was old enough to understand the damage I was capable of I begged my parent to leave me behind. But they were stubborn and loved me wholeheartedly. My powers continued you to grow fast as soon as reached the age of 5. One day we were walking through town when dark clouds suddenly engulfed the sky. The wind picked up throwing anything light enough into the air. Only 6 at the time I was also getting blown around by the wind. My parent and I went around trying to find shelter wherever we could but the town had locked down and nobody would share any comfort." He choked slightly before continuing, "After walking for hours and holding tightly to whatever stable buildings or post we find an alley filled with people. My parent tried to get us all in but they said they had no room. Becoming desperate my parent began giving the people all there money and belongings... Just so that I could at lest take refuge there. After minutes of negotiating the people finally took me in but told my parents to find another place to hide. I tried to go with but they told the people to keep me safe no matter what. I was never able to follow my parents and protect them, I haven't seen them since then. It's been over decade since I last heard or seen them. To be exact it's been 12 years."
Thomas' POV
I watched the tears roll down her face and I knew there were some tears in mine also. I had never told anyone my history before I never felt the need to, I never even told Charlie because telling him my secrets just made me feel uncomfortable. But with Taya I feel like I could tell her all of my little secrets and my entire life story. From the way I was born, to the magic I possess, and finally to the way I want to spend the rest of my life with her. She just makes me naturally happy and calm just like this forest and I don't know if there's anything I would give up for it. The thought that I have is this 'I'd give everything to be with you, and I'd sacrifice my life if it meant you'd get to continue with yours. Even if that meant without me, I'd wish you an eternity of happiness.' I noticed that she just kept staring at me while I was thinking and quickly tried to explain how I got here from the but before I could she leaned in and kissed me again.
"Unless I seem Extremely uncomfortable, Neer ask for my permission if all you gonna do is kiss me," she stated breathlessly, "and Never Ever cut off a kiss I'm the only one that gets to do that." I could here the sorrow in her voice as she placed her forehead on mind. "It will take a long time for us to find a path together and if your still searching for your parents I don't want to be the cause of you losing them forever. Look for your family Thomas, don't take Your life or family for-granted. You are lucky to have grown up with such love, so as long as you can still feel there hearts beating and believe they're alive, no matter what you find you can't give up on something that could make you happy. Once you find them you can come back and find me, but this spark might be a one time thing and won't be were when you get back." Taya said this with a serious face telling me that she really believed that the electricity between us would die down if we only separated for a few years.
I pulled her body into mine and wrapped my arms around her. Leaning down I whispered, "Love at first sight is stronger than any other as long as it's real. The electricity between us won't die even if we're apart for an entire decade. You could go through 100s of men trying find the connection we have. But you won't find one because I'm the only one your meant to beauty Taya once I find my parents I'll be back. And we can start our own family," she gasped at this looking slightly petrified at the mention of children and parenting and I just threw my head back and laughed because she looked absolutely petrified at the idea.
"Stop laughing you idiot, I just think I'd be a terrible parent and that when you find me again you probably won't be the least bit attracted to me. I've heard stories told by passing merchants true love is almost always to good to be true. So if you come back and don't actually like me don't you even try forcing it. If the spark is out then there's no relighting it. Now, I believe we've talked enough lets go check and make sure everything is alright, the barrier around us makes my connection to nature weaker," Taya stood up and started walking back towards what I knew was the Serenity Path, but before she could leave my barrier, I grabbed her hand and she automatically stopped without turning. "What else do you want now Thomas?" I could here the sadness like a loud drum and made me almost let yo but I knew that I had to speak my mind when it came to her, only honesty could get through.
"I don't know why you don't believe in true love or that our love will last but when I see you again I promise that the love will still be there and it'll grow with our separation so be ready to get knocked off you feet!" I said this smiling hoping she'd understand just how much love was already there and how our love would grow even when we'd be apart.
I could indecisiveness in her eyes but she smiled and looked me in the eyes with tears flowing and her sadness evident, "I hope your right." Then she just walked out, breaking the enchantment and the hope that I had of her believing my words.
Even though she didn't believe what I said about us I knew that when I found her again I knew I wouldn't let her walk away because I believe I found my true love and I'm not letting it go.
