Chapter 4 ( Special ): Finally, She's The One.

" That's great. I love cats." Yamano smiled.

" It means that your wife will be a nekogirl." Sarah rubbed Yamano's back.

" But, Sarah-neechan. Are you sure about this?? The first time I stepped my foot in this place, I saw a lot of monster-girl like dragon-girl, werewolf, lamia and no nekogirls. I think the orbs is broken." Yamano told Sarah.

" The orbs never lie. That's what I said. Let's go!!. To the Nekogirl Selection Room." Sarah pointed the ceiling.

" What are you pointing at, Sarah-neechan??" asked Yamano.

" Nothing. I just feel excited. Let's go." said the little girl in the lab coat.

Sarah took Yamano to the Nekogirl Selection Room. When they arrived, Sarah took a device from the staff that guards the front door. Yamano's hand is shaking because he is about to meet the love of his life that will change his life forever but...human cannot escape from the feeling of doubt in their heart.

...I don't know about this. Love at first sight can be quite troublesome. All of our friends said love at first sight can end a relationship so fast. Maybe *we should quit. We don't want to hurt our heart anymore. The pain is unbearable to us....

...Everything can happen. This is the only chance for us to change our life. Yes, the pain is unbearable but, at least we tried. Hope is still there. Come on, Yamano Yusuri. She's waiting for you, just behind the door....

Yamano stared blankly at the floor. Sarah is holding a device that look like a watch.

" Still feeling troubled in your mind??" Sarah said.

" I don't know. Reality can be quite cruel sometimes. I don't want to injure my heart anymore." Yamano sighed.

" Alrighty then. Yamano-kun. Look what I got for you." Sarah showed the device.

" What's this??" asked Yamano.

" This is a Love Seeker. This watch can help you find the nekogirl that will become your future wife. Just look at the monitor." Sarah pointed the moniter to Yamano.

Yamano noticed a heart shape symbol on the monitor but the heart symbol that not connected. The heart is been split into half.

" That's strange. There's a heart symbol in the middle of the watch but it's been cut into half." Yamano noticed.

" Yes, it is. Hear me out. This is important. When the heart symbol is starting to blink, it means that there's a nekogirl nearby that wants to meet you. Try to spend your time with her as long as you can. While you doing that, check the Love Seeker. Now this is the function of the first half of the heart. If the left side of the heart starting to light up, the nekogirl is starting to like you and then, check the other half, it represents if you like the nekogirl or not. If both sides of the heart symbol lights up and turn pink, that means that she chose you as her boyfriend unless...." Sarah wondered about something.

" Unless what??" asked Yamano.

" There's a very rare moment where the Love Seeker turn bright red." Sarah looked at Yamano.

" So??" Yamano confused.

" If the Love Seeker turns bright red, you and the nekogirl will get marry on the spot. The Love Seeker can sense the close relationship between you two that will make both of you fall in love and will stay together as husband and wife until the end of the world." Sarah explained to Yamano.

" How is that even possible??" Yamano still confused.

" Yes, you will marry the monster-girl on the spot. Monster-girl took many form. Some of them look like a little girl, like me. Some them look like young teenagers. Some of them are totally adult. Trust me, despite of their appearance, they already reach the right age to get marry with someone." Sarah explained to Yamano.

" Get married. I don't know if I'm ready or not.." Yamano told Sarah.

Sarah caressed Yamano's cheeck.

" Just go. One more thing, remember. Do not approach the nekogirl. Just let them come to you. After that, just do what I told you." Sarah told Yamano to hurry.

Yamano closed his eyes, take a deep breath and ready to change his life forever.

" I'm ready." Yamano determined.

" Good luck, Yamano-kun. I'm counting on you. Go get her." Sarah felt excited.

At first, Yamano hesitate to open the door but he gather all of his strength to open the door. Finally, he opens the door and enter the Nekogirl Selection Room.

" He grew up so fast. Yamano-kun, please. I really hope that you make the right choice." Sarah wiped the tears on her eyes.

Back to Yamano, when he is in the room. It's not a room. It's a valley full with nekogirl. There's still human that spending their time with random nekogirl.

" This is going to be easy, right??" Yamano talked to himself.

He approached a group of young nekogirl, maybe 20-25 years old that wandering around the valley.

" Excuse me." Yamano asked.

The nekogirl group starting to walk away from Yamano and starting to run away from Yamano but they didn't scared. They just laugh like they invite Yamano to play tag.

" Human. Come play tag with us. If you catch us, you can spend your time with us." one of the nekogirl said gleefully.

" This is going to be excited, nyan" added the nekogirl.

They ran away from Yamano.Yamano knew that he cannot play tag because his stamina is below average.

" Wait! Don't run! I was born with weak lungs." Yamano told them to stop.

Yamano just look at the nekogirl group ran away from him. Yamano gave up as he don't want to chase the girls. Yamano noticed that the Love Seeker is blinking, which means that a nekogirl is searching for a companion.Suddenly, a long blue hair nekogirl walks towards Yamano.

" Hello. Nice to meet you." said the random nekogirl.

" Nice to meet....you too. My name is...Yamano Yusuri. ( Wait.Why am I nervous??)" Yamano talked to himself.

" I believe that you're trying to find your soulmate, right??" the nekogirl said.

" Actually, yes." Yamano still nervous.

" Maybe I'm the one who you looking for. Shall we try it first??" the nekogirl said.

" I'm sorry. I don't know what to do first." Yamano replied.

" Try patting my head first. Nekogirl loves headpats." the nekogirl told Yamano.

Yamano slowly put his hand on the nekogirl's head. She seems to enjoy it as she purrs.

" That feels so good. The warmth on your hand makes me feel so cozy." The nekogirl praised Yamano.

" Thank you. Wow. I kinda like this." Yamano continue to pat the nekogirl.

Yamano take a quick look at the Love Seeker. The left side of the heart is shining but not the right. That means that the nekogirl isn't the one Yamano is looking for.

" The Love Seeker...." Yamano said with a slow voice.

She saw the Love Seeker on Yamano's wrist.

" It's okay. The Love Seeker never lies. I hope that you will find the right nekogirl." the nekogirl is actually sad.

" Please. I'm so sorry." Yamano apologised.

She quickly ran away from Yamano because she don't want him to be sad and feeling guilty.

Yamano continue to find the next nekogirl he can find. All of his attempts are fail because the right side of the Love Seeker is dark. Finally, Yamano saw a tree on top of a hill. Yamano decided to rest for a couple of minute under the shady tree.

" I'm so tired. I need to rest now. Woah, Sarah-neechan didn't say that this is going to be easy." Yamano talked to himself.

Yamano closed his eyes and sleep. The wind in the room is warm, enough to make Yamano fell asleep so quickly. Fifteen minutes later, Yamano is ready to searching his soulmate.

" Okay. It's time to go now." Yamano is ready to go.

Suddenly, he cannot sit because he can feel that someone is sleeping on top of Yamano.

" That's weird. I cannot sit down and why is my shirt feel so wet??" Yamano wondered.

She's resting her head on Yamano's chest.

" Excuse me. Please wake up." Yamano politely woke the nekogirl up.

The nekogirl begin to make a purring sound.

Yamano wiped his eyes to look at the nekogirl. She has short, light purple hair. Her cat ears and tails are light purple but a little bit light from her hair does. She wears a pink jacket with white furs around the neck line on the outside and black and grey striped shirt on the inside. She also wear a short jeans with black thigh-high socks. On her feet, she wear a pair of pink sneakers.

Yamano blushed.

" She look so beautiful." Yamano's cheek turns red.

The nekogirl starting to wake up. She slowly blinks at Yamano.

" Nyaaa~~" she yawned.

" Can you please move aside?? It's heavy down here." Yamano told the nekogirl.

She slowly move aside. Yamano sits down beside the nekogirl.

It is kinda awkward to start a conversation with her. Yamano isn't much of a talker. He carefully look at the nekogirl's sleepy face.

" I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to sleep here. I felt so tired that I dozed off here. Can I ask you what are you doing here?" asked Yamano.

She's kinda look shy to reply Yamano's question as Yamano can see that she's struggles to speak with her body shaken. He's hoping for a reply but this, Yamano didn't see this coming.

" Nyaa?? Nyan nyaa nya nyaaaa nyaan....." she replied.

" You like to rest here?? Under this shady tree??" Yamano replied.

Suddenly, both of them completely shocked. Yamano doesn't realized what he just did. The nekogirl starting to cry..

" Oh no. Why are you crying? I didn't do anything to you. Hey! Stop it!" Yamano panicked.

The nekogirl cry with.... joyful tears from her eyes.

" What's going on here? I'm confused?" Yamano stuttered.

The nekogirl suddenly hug Yamano tightly and never let him go. Yamano was suprised but Yamano knew that maybe, she is the one he is looking for.

" Nyaaa, nya nyaa nyaan nyaaan." she cried.

" Of course I can understand what you're trying to say. I don't know how I did it." Yamano rubbed the nekogirl's back.

She slowly released Yamano from her hug. Yamano used his finger to wipe her tears that flows on the nekogirl's soft cheek.

" Can I ask you a question?? What is your name??" asked Yamano.

" Nya nyaaa nyaa nyaan nyan nyaaaan." That's what she said.

" Your name is in the necklace you wore??" Yamano wondered.

She pulls out the necklace on her black and grey striped shirt. That necklace is small but enough to put a small piece of paper that contains her very own name.

" May I??" Yamano asked her permission.

The nekogirl nodded with a cheerful smile. Yamano slowly opens the necklace.

" Your name is...Miko?? That's a wonderful name." Yamano smiled.

And again, she smiled.

......Oh fate. Please, I don't want to let her go. When I looked at her, she somehow filling the emptiness inside me. Her smile able to melt my frozen heart that already been stomped by loneliness. Her beauty made my heart swim to the surface after been drowned and been dragged down to the deepest part of the ocean. If only I can live with her. I promise that I will continue to live my own life and make her life a happy one. If only you give me a chance. Please. I don't to be alone anymore.......

Yamano closed his eyes and hope for the best. His only fate depends on the Love Seeker. If the Love Seeker didn't light up, only God knows what Yamano will do. Yamano opens his eyes and look at the Love Seeker.

...The Love Seeker is starting to light up. Yamano and Miko saw the heart symbol connected in front of their very own eyes. Suddenly, the heart symbol is starting to turn bright red colour. It's a miracle. Yamano's prayers has been answered. Yamano and Miko are officially a married couple.......

Ignoring the surrondings, Yamano quickly carried Miko princess style.

" Nyaa?!?!" Miko suprised.

" Let's go meet Sarah-neechan, okay??" Yamano carried Miko.

Miko nodded. Yamano carried Miko without looking back. As they walk to the main entrance of the selection room, there's a few nekogirl congratulate Yamano and Miko.

"Congratulations, Miko-neechan!!"

" Please take care of Miko-neechan for us."

" Be sure to hug her everyday. She love to hug and been hugged."

Yamano nodded. While Yamano carried Miko, she caressed Yamano's cheeck and blushed heavily. For a short hair nekogirl, Miko is a beauty. Yamano look at Miko with all of his heart.

......" Thank you for saving me and my lonely heart. I will give you, I will love you with all of my heart till the end of the world."......

Miko nodded with a lovely smile on her cute face.

" Nyaan Nyaan❤❤" Miko made a cute face while making a cat hand gesture.
