When I'm With You I'm Happier...

Kevin follows me to my office in Finance Dept., passing Andira and Lucia whose working seriously. I opened my office room, let Kevin sit down and begin to talk.

I take my pen and played with it out of habit when I'm nervous.

"So, why do you want to see me?" I ask him & sitting down on my comfortable office chair.

"Well, I just... that is, Ahh you know Lou the overseas customers asking for statements of account. Please help to send it to me, will you?" Kevin still looking so pale and sweating a lot.

"Just WhatsApp me next time, I will ask Lucia to send it to your email." I smiled at him, sometimes he's so child-like and that's makes him adorable.

Maybe he wants to talk to me personally, I think happily.

"Uhm, sure... Next time I will." Kevin nodded and starring at me directly into my eyes.

We talked about what happened in the morning while he's not around & laughed about some jokes. Then, I dunno what to say anymore, I'm lost for words because I sense Kevin eyes looking at me intensely. Unconsciously, I smiled at him.

"I like to see you smile, Lou." He said still looking into my eyes directly and so serious.

I blushed, "Uhh, whattt? Kevin don't joke around duhh!"

"No jokes tho. I honestly said that."

"Anything you need from me? Somebody need to get to work." I changed the topic so we both can forget what happened before.

"Nope, Sorry to bother you. I likes to annoys you, honestly." He said with big grin on his face

Aaarrrggghhh!!! Whattttt??? But those smile tho,,,Okay I forgive you. My heart please calming down.

"Geez, Kev. Seriously! Are you a 5th grader?" I mocked him because I don't know what to reciprocate.

He laughed out loud, "Ahahaha, jokes Lou. Chill sis. Just need you to send me those receivables detail for my customer, I will check them."

"Tsk,, okay then. Now, hush-hush go, you need rest while I need to get back to work. Shall we?" I smiled my perfectly genuine professional smile.

Kevin chuckled at my silliness and talk again "Sure maam!" Then he bows at me like a true gentlement. And walk away out from my office, while I am speechless by his action.

I finished most of my tasks today and my eyes keep looking to the room on my left, which where Kevin office is. He seems to be engrossed in his works. I pity him, he's still sick yet he come to work today. He's so responsible with his work, that's one of his good quality.

Everytime he's around, my happiness meter leaping high. I feel guilty feeling this way because I know he is sick right now, but I can't pretend not to be happy about him coming to the office.

Nearly 5 o'clock, My back ache because too long sitting down so I decided to take some fresh stroll to the pantry and grab some tea and snacks.

"Guys, wanna grab some tea or coffee?" I ask Andira and Lucia.

"Nope, I still need to finish this report. But thanks Ceh!" Lucia answer me.

Andira shouted from her desk, " Some candies from the pantry Ceh, please!"

*Ceh like cici, cece, ceceh is Chinese calling for older sister

"Okay, okay, just wait. I need some tea right now." So I grab my phone and goes straight to the pantry. The pantry location is near the lift area, on right side from my office.

I make myself chamomile tea with some sugar added. Its helps me relax from the first sip, then I grab some candies from the candy jar prepared in the pantry. When I come back to my office and wanna give Andira her candies, Kevin is there, sitting on Andira guest chair.

I give Andira her candies, and said "Hey, what are you doing here, Kev? not going home?" I checked my watch and already 5 o'clock.

Time to go home, finally.

"He's waiting for you, I said you're in the pantry. Thank you Ceh for the candies." Andira thanked me and explaining.

"Because it's time to go home, why not you grab your bag and we get some healthy dinner because I'm hungry and sick and need some healthy food then taking my medicine." Kevin asks me.

"Uhm, huh??" I eyed Andira who replied me with chuckles and gleaming eyes, while Lucia still serious with her task.

Gosh, is he serious? He never ask me to dinner this whole time I'm employed here.

"Okay, some respect for sick person. Hahahaha, pay my dinner huh!" I said and grab my bag.

"Guys, see you tomorrow!" I said to my subordinates and off we go together to his car in the parking lot.
