Witnessed Again

I reached home early in the night after the meeting. I was ready to explain the scene she witnessed in my cabin.

The penthouse was as usual but only few more lights than usual were switched on. I entered my house to find her nowhere, but the dinner was ready in the kitchen. I went into my room to find her taking a shower. I waited on the bed for her.

"How was your day Varun?" she asked casually stepping out of the shower with only a towel draped around her. Before I respond, she told me to take shower and come down for dinner. "Well...Yes I'll be down soon!" I said.

I came after shower to witness a full dinner on the table and she was waiting for me.

"Uttara, what you saw in the office was a misunderstanding. I didn't....."

"It's okay Varun. You don't have to explain."

"But I didn't mean to..."

"I get it Varun, since it's an arranged marriage there is no love here. So, obviously you could do that. But, I kinda felt hurt that you didn't even respect this marriage and me. But it's okay."

"Listen to me Uttara...."

"No hurt feelings. Okay? Let's finish dinner quickly. You have to work tomorrow. "

Before I could tell anything, she finished her dinner and asked me whether I could do the dishes. I told her that I would do them.

After the dishes, we headed to our room. We didn't speak much, but I wanted her. I don't want her to misunderstand me.

She was looking pretty in today's chemise. It was attracting my attention, but I didn't dare to make a move after today's scene.

As usual I woke up in the morning and got ready. She already prepared breakfast and had it with me. I left for work again doing a brave move by kissing her on her cheeks.

I was working when Sarah came into my room little earlier than lunch. She kissed me hungrily and I failed to reject her. Uttara came and kept the luch on the table. But, this time I got out of my seat and decided to speak to her.

"Varun, I've packed food for both of you! Hope you enjoy!" she told. I was kinda hurt, when she didn't want to listen to me.

"Thank you so much! I'm Sarah! Your food is amazing. Ill make sure to enjoy it!" my secretary replied.

Uttara smiled and was going to leave the room, when I caught her hand and pulled her into a hug. She was shocked, since I didn't know what to tell her, I told her to eat lunch with me.

I sent Sarah out, but I saw Sarah smirking. Uttara served food for both of us, she ate slowly. We didn't speak about anything but she as usual enquried me about my work and stuffs regarding the office.
