Vivian was already exhausted. Since morning, she had not truly rested. Blood had been drawn several times for lab work, and then she had been moved from one examination room to another. Eventually, she had to use a wheelchair.

Seeing his wife's face grow paler, Sebastian felt a pang of pity. But this time, he did not want to delay even a little.

"I'm sorry, Vivian," he said, holding her hand. "I know you're tired. But we have to know what really happened. After all these years, we deserve answers."

Vivian only nodded. In her heart, she still believed all of this had to be a misunderstanding. She could not imagine Cynthia, the doctor she had considered family, doing anything that would harm her.

Toward evening, all the test results were finally completed. The doctor invited Vivian and Sebastian back into the consultation room. This time, her expression was much more serious than it had been that morning.

"Mr. and Mrs. Hale, I've reviewed today's test results, your health history, and the medicines you've been taking," the doctor said. She paused before continuing. "First, I want to share the good news. Based on the current results, I do not see evidence that you have a condition that would make pregnancy impossible. The pregnancy itself is also consistent with today's examination."

Vivian stared at the doctor in confusion. "Then... my illness?"

The doctor opened several old test results Vivian had brought. "From what you told me, the first complaint that made you seek treatment was severe menstrual pain."

"Yes, Doctor."

The doctor nodded. "Menstrual pain can be extremely disruptive. For some women, it can be severe enough to make daily activities difficult. Sometimes it is part of primary menstrual pain, which is common, but in some cases it can indicate an underlying condition. That is why treatment needs to match clear test results and a clear diagnosis."
