(Nate P.O.V)
I was sitting in my office at night lost in my own train of thoughts that's when I heard a sob from somewhere.
*HUH? I heard something* I thought and walk out of the office to see where the sound comes from to see Mia with her head
in her hand crying her heart out.
"Mia? What are you doing here at midnight?" I aks shocked. She didn't listen to me so I got closer to her.
"Mia," I call her putting my hand on her shoulder.
"Huh?" she lifts her head wiping her tears to look at me.
"You are crying," I said to her shocked.
"I'm fine," she said running her hand all over her face.
"What's wrong?" I ask while cupping her face in my hand.
"Something unbelievable happens to me," she said while looking at the ground.
"Something that I can't explain it and I don't know how?" she said and tears started to come out of her eyes.
"Do you want to talk to me about it?" I ask.
"I feel so embarrassed about it and so scared," she said still not looking at me.
"Why no ones believe me?" She asks throwing herself on me and hugging me. I staggered a bit but gain my poster again and
hold her in my embrace.
After some time she releases what she was doing and move and turn away from me saying she was sorry. As soon as she moves away from me I feel an awkward emptiness in me but I shook my head to push it away, she comes first she needs me now.
"Please calm down," I said while turning her so that she was facing me and lift her chin to make her look at me.
"My life would never be the same anymore, it is something that I didn't ask to happen, it is something that I am not ready, for," she said while shutting her eyes tightly and then shake her head a lone tear escape from her one eye and I wipe it away.
After that, We remain silent for some time don't know what to say or do.
"Try to drink this it will make you feel better," I said passing her a glass with glucose water to make her feel better.
"Thank you and sorry, I am really sorry for all this," she said giving me an empty glass while looking down at the ground.
"It's okay," I said while taking it and putting it on the nearby table.
"I'm sorry if you have your problem and I bother you with mine," she said while wiping her face and I kept silent.
"Is everything okay wit..." she said but I cut her off not wanting to talk about that topic.
"Let's not talk about it okay," I said while looking at her and she nodded her head.
"The life isn't always fair, isn't it," she asks looking down at the ground. And I look at her with a raised eyebrow.
"I am really sorry," she said while looking at me.
"It's okay, are you tired?" I ask.
"A bit," she said to me.
"There is a sofa here, you can rest if you want?" I said to her.
"In your office?" she asks with wide eyes.
"Yes, it's okay," I said and lead her to my office.
"And you?" she asks.
"Don't worry about me, try to relax okay," I said while smiling at me.
"Okay," she said smiling at me but it's didn't reach to her eye.
I make her rest on the couch and get lost in my thoughts again. I wonder what happens with her? what made an optimistic girl cry like that? I look at her to see her fast asleep on the couch.
I walk to my closet where I always have a blanket just in case I need it. I take a blanket from it and walk closer to her.
*She looks so peaceful while sleeping on the couch* I thought.
I spread a blanket over her and remove the hair that has come over her face to her ear, then walk out of my office to go home leaving her sleep there peacefully.
