Episode 9

LILIA' S HOME

Mr. Henry came home distracted on the new development at work. Their company is running at a lost recently due to low investment so they have to relocate to the company's head office in Australia to improve situations.

He didn't know how to break the news to Lilia and her wife.

How will Lilia feel when she gets to know , she got to change schools and leave all her friends especially, Aimscious ....., he thought to himself..

He was so lost in himself that he did not notice when he passed by his wife.

Mrs. Portia (surprisingly): honey, why, what is wrong with you, that you didn't notice when you came without a hug or greetings....?

Mr. Henry (faintly) : aww sorry dear, I was deep in thoughts. We have issues at work that it demands our migration to Australia.

I have to join the company's head quarters to stabilize the cause. This means Lilia has to change schools again and you know this is her third school.

I don't know how she is going to take it.., am so disturbed dear.

He quickly sat in the sofa and buried his head in his hands. His wife sat by him and put her hand on her shoulders.

Mrs . Portia: you don't need to worry about that, I know she will understand.

He smiled and placed a gentle kiss on her cheeks.

On the other side of the door, Lilia, already heard everything her parents discussed and smiled satisfactorily.

Lilia (evilly): this is even better....(laughs) ,no one will suspect me if I attack Aimscious from that side.

She run out to join her parents at the hall. Lilia hugged them so tight in a big hug. They were surprised at her action and asked.

Mrs .Portia( smiles, patting her head) : Why are you so happy , Li, you nearly pushed us down with that wind of light ....

Mr: Henry: any good news from school or your friends?

Lilia: no , no, mum..., dad....., (giggles)

you don't need to worry about me. Am okay with any decisions you guys take . So ..., when are we moving to Australia?

She shouts and jumps around laughing and giggling.

Dad ( happy and relieved) : in two months time baby, hope you will be set by then?

Lilia: yes, yes dad. Will be done with my final exams in second grade.

Dad: its done then...,

we will be moving in two months.

Lilia: Okay dad, but I have to go and inform Aims

about it....., love you dad ,

I got to go now.

She turns to leave but her dad stops her ,

Dad: wait , let me go in and change,

will go and drop you after that.

She quickly turns, stopping her dad.

No, no , dad, don't worry. I will get a cab. She dashes out of the house.

AIMSCIOUS' HOUSE

The cab soon pulled over in front of Aimscious' house. She got down and pressed the door bell.

Mrs. Solidad opened the door surprised. She called Aimscious and welcomed Lilia warmly.

Mrs. Portia: Lilia , you can go up to her room, I think she is busy with her dance rehearsals. She has been making noise all day.

She laughs and run up to Aims' room. She knocked and knock till finally, the door was open. Aimscious was so surprise to see her at her door,

Aims: hey, Li, wat are you doing here? didn't expect you here...., she smiles and pulled her in.

Lilia: yeah, I know you didn't expect me but, I've got to tell you something.... , she screams and hug her, jumping all around in the room.

Aimscious' mum hears the screams and question them aloud,

Mum: Aims! , Li! , is everything okay up there?

They both laughs and answer

Yes mum, just having fun...

Mum: okay..., let me know when you need anything.

They respond and turn back to their conversation.

Aims : now tell, why are you so happy

Li: my parents and I are moving to Australia after the final exams.

Aimscious sadly sat on her bed and starts crying. Lilia went to consolingly,

Aims I know, I will miss you too. But don't worry, I will visit and call you often.

DOWNSTAIRS

There came another ring from the door. Mrs. Portia went to check who it was. When she opened the door, she saw a young, tall and handsome guy. She smiled at him and questioned,

Mrs.Portia: Who are you and how may I help you?

Stranger(smiling): hi ,mum, good afternoon, my name is Mart, a friend of Aimscious. We attend the same school and a classmate.

Mrs. Portia welcome and served him with some fruit juice and doughnut. Wait for me ,she said, am going to call her for you.

She got to Aimscious' door calling,

Aims.... , Aimscious..., you got a guest...

Aimscious was surprise to hear that and said,

am not expecting anyone mum...., is it he or she?

Mum: Is a he.., come down and stop asking questions.

Aimscious and Li came down and was shocked at the presence of Mart. Mart.....?, the both said in shock...

What are you doing here? asked Aimscious.

Lilia stood at the hall, looking at Aimscious and Mart with so much hate, hurt and jealousy.

Mart shyly: Aimscious....., errrmmmm, I ... just came to ask you out on a date.

Aims: sorry but I dont want to go....

Mrs.Portia who was listening all this while from the kitchen , joined them ,saying,

don't be so rude like that Aims...., going out once with a friend does not hurt.....

Aims: that is so embarrassing ,mum, OK, ok, I will go....

Lilia bushed out crying and cursing within her,

you will pay for this Aims..

THE FLORESCENT GARDEN

Aimscious and Mart arrive at the garden. He laid a mat and they both sat on it. They had lots of fun , playing and exploring. Mart turned to Aimscious, gave her a necklace and proposed.

Aimscious, I .... love ... you.

She looked at him, stunned.
