Episode 11

As soon as I'm in the kitchen the telephone rings and I jump out of surprise. I inhale a deep breath of fresh air and then answer the phone, waiting for the other person on the line to talk first. "Hello, Heather?" aunt Megan's voice comes through the phone. I smile and say, Hey aunt Megan is something wrong? "Why? Did something happen is everything okay that side?" aunt Megan asks conserned. Yah everything's okay I was just asking because you called. "Oh! Well I just called to check up on you and I wanted to know if you're okay being alone there or if you'd like to sleep here at my house?" aunt Megan asks. I shake my head even though she can't see me and quickly say, No, no I'm fine it's not the first time that she's left me alone, a little sarcastically. "Are you sure?" she asks softly. Yes I am thanks um I have to go now there's something on the stove I say lieing. "Okay then sleep well and take care of yourself love," she says and all I say is, You too bye before I put off the phone. I breath a sigh of relief and put the already full kettel on to make me some tea. I love tea, I love the way it makes me feel... So calm and out of this world. I'm describing the way people describe a blunt and how they feel when they're high. Well tea is the closest thing to high I'll ever get.As I wait for the kettel to boil I reach for the book I keep on the shelf in the kitchen. I keep books around the house in places I'm always in just in case I feel like reading.
