Book I The prayer of a flower 1

My past life was filled with misery and ended very tragically. Well not for myself at least, because I deserve what was coming for me. I chose to love the wrong Person and did many things for him unconditionally despite the consequences, I betrayed the people who love me over and over again and hurt them in the worst way possible.

But My parents who treasured and loved me and mean no harm to others, My neglected son who had still called out to me even though I never deserved his love and affection, and my husband who despite my selfishness kept staying with me and helping me out even though he had no affection for me.

Did anyone of them deserve to die?

No! None of them did.

So now that I have been reborn, why should I be stupid enough to relive my past life again?

Seeing the exaverant yet homely breakfast being laid on the table, Lara couldn't help showing a very satisfied smile.

"You seem to have quited down these days these days, did anything happen?" Mr Dawne who had never seen his spoiled daughter like this before couldn't contain his curiosity anymore and asked.

It seemed like his daughter had changed into an entirely different person after her fiancee had cheated on her with her best friend.

"It's nothing much Dad, I'm okay" She replied while digging into the delicious meal placed before her with a satisfied face, and that very satisfied face was mistaken as a facade of 'I'm happy' the onlookers. The Dwane couple looked at each other and couldn't adjust to their daughter who would normally throw a tantrum over small things this calm and quite.

They both didn't know that their dear daughter was enjoying her meal unaware of their worries.

How long has it been since she had eaten in such luxury? How much longing had she endured before having to eat with her warm family again?

Well, to be honest not much time had passed since she had complained about the beach Emma seducing her fiancee Ethan to her parents, begging them to deal with her by any means. But for Lara who had lived two lives and was recently reborn, She couldn't help act out of character and enjoy the present moment without a care about who was cheating or who was replacing her.

Not being able to handle her daughter's wierd behavior Mrs Dawne glared at her husband reminding him of the talk they had together the night before.

"Ahem!" Father Dwane coughed to grab the attention of the two others. Seeing that his daughter had stopped eating to look at him he cleared his throat but after a few seconds of eye contact with his daughter's oblivious face he pitifully glanced at his wife to help him.

Upon seeing her adorable Husband acting like a helpless puppy Mother Dwane couldn't resist and laughed out loud but her elegance didn't fall in the least.

Both of them didn't notice the hand which had been clenched to a fist under the table.

"Ah! so it's finally come." Lara thought but kept a neutral and dumb face while enjoying the rare scene of her parents openly flirting and laughing happily.

"Dad you wanted to say something?" she inquired after some time, breaking the cotton fluff like atmosphere for her parents in that process.

Mother Dwane whose laugh had already been reduced to a smile decided to help her daughter out of her oblivious mysery.

"Well....! Your dad and I had a serious talk and considered a few things about your future.

We had a discussion about what you had asked of us with Ethan's parents. and guess what?

They said that Ethan would break up with the girl he's dating and also said he was only playing with her" Her mother looked really happy for her as she said this.

In her past life she had believed these very words spoken by the Vozens, she had even dragged her parents along with her to doom.

"So.. to avoid such a thing again the date for your official engagement had been fixed for the next month." Mr's Dwane ended her news with this.

Although Lara had been ready to hear it, at the present moment she couldn't help feel disgusted and felt that her brains must've been rotten.

She had stubbornly asked her parents to break Ethan and Emma up and had even starved herself when her parents told her Ethan wasn't a good fit for her.

Suppressing all the malicious feelings welling up inside her, she put on a shocked expression along with a believable excitement.

"You're not lying right? right!!!!?" She asked she exclaimed.

Mrs Dwane giggled at her daughter's reaction and shook her head. "Not a lie" she said.

"OMG....I love you mom. dad" She rushed and jumped towards them, clearly brushing aside the fact that they were still eating and it was improper.

The Dwane couple didn't have the heart to scold her and let her have her episode of excitement.

Although her lips were curved into a bright smile and happy sounds escaped it Lara's eyes held a frozen stillness as she continued to hug her parents for a while longer.

"Look at her flipping her attitude so quickly" Mother Dwane commented and her husband nodded along.

"Mom, dad you're bullying your precious daughter" Lara fake frowned with a little pout.

The Dawne couple were very harmonious in both work and personal life.

They both shared many thoughts together and had many similarities, especially when it came to fawning over their daughter, they were equally smashed for her.

"An angel, our daughter is a angel, the cutest and most purest child in the world...No...in the entire Galaxy" The Dwane couple thought in unison seeming to forget that their daughter is already 18 years old and was already of the age where being fawned on by her parents while being called cute were all a little insulting.

"Now darling don't be angry with mommy. Your dad and I got one more surprise for you" she excitedly said

"Another one!!?" she knew but faked.

"Yes, you'll be staying with the Vozens till your engagement, are you excited? Isn't mommy the best" Mrs Dwane cheekily asked.

"The best in the whole wide world" Lara became emotional and her eyes felt a little wet.

"Look at this brat, she's happy about leaving us?" Father Dwane complained to his wife but was ignored so he decided to stop competing with his daughters cuteness.

"No Daddy, I'm happy that you're my parents" she wiped her tears and smiled a genuine smile. The couple didn't give it much thought and took it as she was shedding tears of happiness

And as for Lara? She made a resolve. The little things she had missed out in her past life, like spending a simple yet lovely meal together with her family, she was determined to relieve each and every of them.

And the people who dared hurt her loved ones? Well! she'll pay them back with utmost sincerity not leaving out a single one of them.
