"Alpha, according to your instructions the rogue has been transferred to a room on the first floor. I have given him some of my clothes to change into and asked one of the cooks to cook something for him. But the pack is still confused on why you decided to release him. Though he is a human he still breached our territory." Casper frowned as he thought about what happened a few hours ago.

After waking up on the hospital bed his alpha fainted again, suddenly. He and James really got worried. They were werewolves they don't get sick or injured easily and still their alpha fainted twice in a short span of time. They were terrified. He even thought that this had something to do with the human and was storming to his cell to confront him but River regained consciousness and he decided to delay his confrontation. But what came out of his alpha's mouth left him shocked as he was sure that the alpha was gravely ill. He asked Casper to transfer the human to a room and that too on the first floor. The rooms on the first floor were for the stronger members of the pack and the heads of the pack so that they can protect the people during an attack and a human who was the weakest person present in the entire forest was given a room on that floor. He was sure that the alpha had gone nuts. But before he could protest the alpha was already out of the room and heading towards the study. He could only exchange looks of disbelief with James as he had the same thoughts in mind as Casper, there is certainly something wrong, something very very wrong. And before he knew he was already leading the human, whose name is Aiden Storm, what a weird name, to the room. The human was struggling to walk but why should he care, it is his fault for getting hurt in the first place. When they reached the room he told the human to settle himself and that someone will inform him when food is ready. He also gave him his clothes to change into as his were torn and dirty, afterall he only had a strong front, in reality he was a big softy.... Anyway, coming back to the present, he was standing in front of the alpha reporting him of his task who didn't seem to listen to any of the things he was saying and instead was focused on a piece of paper on his hand, with furrowed brows. His misty eyes were focused on the sheet of paper and showed his confusion.

"River" Casper called again snapping him out of his strance. "You alright bro. I think you should take some rest. Leave the pack work to me, I'll handle it."

"I'm fine. Don't worry. You asked me why I took him out of the cell, right? Have a look at this."River replied as he handed the paper he was looking at to Casper. He looked at him as he read through the paper and saw his eyes widen.

"Shit!!!" Casper exclaimed as he looked up, towards River.

"Exactly, shit got real here. I was busy with the training since morning and didn't check my mail and when I did, I found this. This human, Aiden Storm, he is a professor who was sent here from the Millenium university to prepare a report on the increased wolf sightings near the college and we the 'rangers' were to assist him in his work. But instead of welcoming him here we caused him injuries and also locked him up in a cell. And the rangers he was mumbling about in the cell should be us and I believe he was cursing us that once. And we thought he was an enemy and were going to interrogate him. I don't know what would have happened if we really did that." River sighed as he rubbed his forehead.

He never thought that the human was a zoology professor sent in the forest to find about the wolf sightings. Though this was not the real reason why he asked him to be transferred to a room as he had already given the orders before he even knew about the mail, but this was more than enough to cover for the real reason, that was him being his mate, which he was not sure about but he didn't hate the human for that. He was just confused and needed time to sort things out and explaining everything to his mate was also going to be a challenge. But right now the biggest challenge was to keep everything under wraps and make sure that his pack behaves themselves for the time his mate his here, as he is just a human and knows nothing about their world and thinks that they are rangers gaurding the forest but that's what all the humans know about them accept some of the higher ups in the government, who know about their existence and have signed a peace pact with them. They don't want their existence to create a chaos among the masses and therefore live in the dark.

But right now it is important that he makes things clear with Aiden, he doesn't know what all is going through his mate's mind right now but it really hurt him that he hurt his mate unknowingly. But he needs to make things right now.

"What should we do now? The pack already has a sense of hostility towards him. Though they would not think of him wrongly, once they know the truth but they would surely feel guilty. I myself feel guilty for treating him like that." Casper said breaking River out of his thoughts. He was feeling guilty too for treating the human like that, after all he came here for his work and would already be worried and they scared him too. What would he think of them... And how would they explain things to him, now...

"Don't worry about explaining things. I have thought about that already. We will tell him that we recieved the mail late and we thought that he was a hunter, here to hurt the animals, so we caught him to interrogate."

"Yes, we can do this. I will go and call him downstairs for lunch, you can accompany us too and explain things to him. I just hope that he would not doubt us on this."

"Yes, you do that and I'll inform the pack about the situation through the pack link and then join you."

"Ok, you do that, then I'll take my leave."

"Alright."

I just hope that everything goes smoothly from now on....*sigh*
