03 CHANYEOL

Chanyeol wandered around his wardrobe as he packed his clothes in a little bag for two weeks. It was Christmas holiday and he was so excited, after six years they had quite a lifetime with their family but everyone planned to go to Chanyeol's house in which they were invited for dinner and camping.

The air seemed fresh like it was before and the town looked peaceful and beautiful on its own. They parked the car in the garage and headed towards the front door grabbing their backpacks welcomed by Trio-Park Family. "Welcome home son!!!.... and look who's here oh my welcome EXO family in the Parks camping dinner!!!!...", "Hello Mrs.Park it's so nice to meet you", bowing 90 degrees as they enter the villa.

"Wow... your house is so big Chanyeol-laaaa...", Baekhyun said as he started to unpack his stuffs on his part of wardrobe in which he shared with Chanyeol. They had been best friends since the trainee time and Baekhyun was the reason Chanyeol started to be quite cheerful but not as cheerful as he was with Y/N. "Well it's not big but it's spacious", Chanyeol said as he ruffled his hair. They laughed a lot and went downstairs to help the others to prepare the barbecue and other side dishes while others went to build three four tents at the backyard.

'Why is she not here yet!...', Mrs.Park thought as she went to prepare the table as Yoora helped her bring the wine glasses. She looked at the time and it was past eight o'clock and she began to worry. The phone connection was not good up the Lee Hill where Y/N lived but the internet still worked slow. So she opened up her whatsapp only to find a notification on her screen from Y/N it said:

Y/N: Sorry mama I can't come tonight's dinner party. I've got a lot of calculations to finish by today;(. Love you 😘.

Mrs.Park sighed as she read the message she was so hoping positively that Y/N would be here with them like the old times making the house lively and cheerful again. She had seen her few times after Chanyeol left for Seoul and she knew that Y/N was still uncomfortable to face Chanyeol whatever had happened nine years ago. Y/N was sixteen back then and Chanyeol eighteen. They were still young but the feelings of that teenage girl was too deep for her best friend. She was not so good at hiding her feelings for Chanyeol and Mrs.Park would always smile whenever Y/N showed a little  more affection to her son. She loved Y/N like her own little girl and she was furious at times when Chanyeol didn't notice the affection the little girl had for him. She sometimes heard soft sobbing from the corner of the room she gave to the girl whenever she had a sleepover at their house.

"Mom!", Yoora called Mrs.Park for the third time but she was still in her thoughts when Yoora pulled her towards the front yard. "Mom... are you ok? Is something wrong with you? Just tell me I can keep it as long as you want me to...", she wrapped her arms around her mom's shoulder as Mrs.Park just smiled at her. She knew her mother was hiding something so she just started pouting which made Mrs.Park laugh. As soon as she stopped laughing Mrs.Park said,"Y/N won't be coming now she's busy with her calculations...", "Oh... then is she still uncomfortable?", Yoora asked,

"I don't think so because she was the one who gave us ideas about this Christmas holidays but maybe she feels tired from all the days work", Mrs.Park whispered as she hold her daughter's arms and walked together to the backyard where lots of festivities was brewing in the house with laughter of young handsome boys already had fixed the tents and tables.

After the dinner party everyone helped cleaning the backyard and they sat around a campfire for the late night family time but Trio-Park went to bed for tomorrow as they got busy day at the restaurant tomorrow left by only EXO members. They started playing Truth game without dare and the questions were basically for Chanyeol. They started asking him about his family business and the town but as soon as the most sensitive question was asked the atmosphere suddenly turned uncomfortable and silent for Chanyeol while others were curious. "Chanyeol is there something you've been hiding us since the trainee days if you don't mind if I say that I once saw your lyrics notebook accidentally I found a girl's name written on it, it seemed as if the song was of heartbreak...", Baekhyun asked him which was too painful and hard to answer. It was the most difficult question in his life. He wanted to forget the name, the memories but this place brought him back to the old days when he was happy with having her with him as his best friend and right now he wanted to escape the reality where he could get comfort from her when there was just him and her. A single tear dropped as he remembered her when others started saying, "It's ok if you don't want to talk about it but we're ready to hear it anytime soon when you're feeling comfortable ", he thanked them mentally as Suho told them it was time for bed. Chanyeol couldn't sleep that night as he was woken up by his past memories with tears flowing down he cried for the third time in his life meaningfully making the memories clearer for him.

"Y/N?!!!", Chanyeol called as he went downstairs to find her playing the piano gracefully, which made him amazed by her gracefulness and the sweet rhythm of her piece was enough for Chanyeol to look at how she pressed the keys ever so lightly with her long beautiful slender fingers. She smiled as she saw him walking towards her slowly as she pat a sit beside her as he started playing a piece of music he loved in which Y/N joined him.

"You play beautifully... Y/N why don't you come to my school to study music?, we can go together ", he said as he grinned happily hoping she would say 'yes' but she just shook her head sadly as she started playing a sad peice of music as he wondered why she always refused when he started talking about school and other educational stuffs. He knew she was genius and always homeschooled in which he found boring but he always ran up the hill to her mansion to play with her and go to the town to buy groceries with her after school in which she enjoyed going out with him almost everyday. Her father was old and he was too weak to go out with his daughter in which Chanyeol had helped him take his daughter for a nice walk down the hill to his house and town. He had died when she was fourteen and her father's death was too much of a pain to handle. She was taken to hospital after she started suffering from a serious depression which was too hard for Chanyeol to help her regain herself.

"Here look at me Y/N we're all here for you", mama Park said as she hugged the little trembling girl crying out for her father. "I'm here for you Y/N even after the end of our world", he said as he hugged her soothingly in his warm embrace. "Promise?!", he said as he held out his pinky finger making pinky promise with Y/N. "Promise...", she whispered as they copied and pasted their promises on their foreheads."

He couldn't forget the promises they made back then and now he had broken it almost every part of it. He was so desperate to see her if she had come back. He knew something was off with his mom during dinner hours, she seemed as if something was bothering her but he just shrugged it off thinking that she would obviously tell him at the right moment.

But right now he wanted Y/N beside him no matter what had happened in the past and he was not giving up so easily. A sleepless night with the past haunting him was enough for Chanyeol to make himself brave enough to face Y/N any time now.

Biji: Hello I'm back... (looks around to find the dorm empty) Oh right I just forgot they went for Christmas holidays.

[Drives to Chanyeol's house only to be greeted by that annoying Sehun guy]

(Walks out mumbling but he pulls you inside)

What do you think you're doing Mr.Stranger?

Sehun: Now I'm a STRANGER to YOU?!! Huh?!!!... (he folds his arms and sits on the couch)

I'msorryforeverything...

Biji: What? Excuse me? I can't hear you (Closing her ears lightly with her palms)

Sehun: I'M SORRY REALLY!!!

Suho: Stop it kids you're too noisy even on our vacation.

Biji: Then stop worrying about your members and just relax you're free now...

Suho: But...

Biji: No buts now go have a nice stroll around the town alone nobody will bother you...

Sehun: But I love bothering hyung... (He pouts)

Biji: SEHUN it's a vacation and you should take it as a way for relaxing and you can sleep all day without any schedules if you want...

Sehun: (Hugs her suddenly) Thanks so much... No schedules do you all hear it I mean read it no schedules hahaha

Biji: Don't get too excited my dear Sehunnie

Sehun: Why not?! (Jumping around)

Biji: Because you need manners in your hyung's house. Clean your bed and pack all the tents in the morning with Jongin...

Sehun and Kai: What?!?!?

Kai: Me too but I'm not annoying anyone Biji....(pouts)

Biji: Stop that it doesn't suit you. Just do what I say for now because Chanyeol needs time to relax and sort things out...

Sehun and Kai: About what?

Biji: Oops never mind hehe it's nothing 😰 (Almost forgot if they find out now I'm dead)

Boys let's sleep now it's past midnight... I'm feeling so sleepy...

Sehun and Kai: You better tell us tomorrow or else we will tell others... (smirks evilly)

Biji: (Gulps) I'm so done...(whispers and turns off the light)
