It finally reached the beauty contest,unlike everyone I wasn't excited to be chosen as the class beauty.But I still enrolled for the competition."Why?" asked Shirley,I told her I just wanted to confirm something."I want to confirm if Trey is going to vote,"I thought to myself.

"We are now going to vote."the teacher told the class as the voting box went round the class for all the boys to vote."We have no interest in such boring contest,right Trey?",said Lay as the voting box reached Trey.Lay dropped his jaw open for he was shocked that Trey had put a voting card with a name in it.Trey smiled slightly and ignored Lay."Who did you vote for?",Lay asked Trey curiously. Trey smiled and went out of the class hurriedly.

Later after the beauty contest ended I asked Lay,"who do you think Trey voted for?."He said he was clueless,I had the intrusiveness to know his choice.It was just my imagination and fantasy that Trey may have chosen me.I later gave up everything to do with him but my heart still couldn't let go without making a progress.

Finals were coming in the next week,I decided to study hard so as to join the same class as Trey.I thought if I could be in the same class as him I would make a progress in knowing him."There's still five minutes remaining to end the test,said the homeroom teacher."The test results are almost, I am excited but afraid of the outcome. "Did I fail? or Did I pass? Will I be enrolled in the same class as Trey?",I thought to myself continuously.

"CONGRATULATIONS,"Shirley screamed emphatically.I asked her excitedly but still worried,"What happened?"she then gave me good news and told me that I scored top five.All I could ask her was did Trey make it to the top five,"Of course,he is our class genius",she said it sarcastically.I was full of the joys of spring,because I was sure I was going to be in the same class with Trey.

Class officially started a week later,my desk was placed beside Trey's,I was over the moon "did I succeed in making a first step?,will I be able to take a bigger step than this?"I thought to myself.I shook my head and said,"Sese it's about time you stop fantasizing alot,you may get disappointed." What are getting disappointment on?"said a voice at the corner of my right hand. "What's your business with my thoughts,?"......I said recklessly only to turn to see Trey close to me.I was shocked and screamed "Aaaaaaah.....what are you doing?"

"Did I startle you he said gently?"I was struck dumb and couldn't talk back to him.I ran out of the class room running as fast as I can. "Where you going?"Shirley shouted at me.I just wished I could hide out of embarrassment so I didn't bother answering her,I then realized that the man I wished to talk to and go everywhere with had talked to me but I destroyed my opportunity to even say "hi" to him......"What did I do?" I thought to myself while knocking my head against the wall....😵
