Chapter 14 - The Date

I can't believe that I was going through with this... my cheeks were already as crimson as a rosy apple thinking about the idea of a date with Eric. I have to admit, he is the most handsome man that I've ever seen. Especially with those eyes of his, and that long dark hair... NO! Anna Taylor, get yourself together! No feelings, remember?

As I walked around the corner, I saw him. Darn it, even his clothes were stylish and fashionable. He looked like a model and even had his hair pinned back. I ended up hiding behind a pillar, staring at him from a distance blushing. Just as I had gotten used to standing against the pillar, a group of three girls walked up to him.

"Hey, handsome! Can I have your number?" As the girls fawned over him, he seemed a little annoyed. He then glared at them angrily and immediately, they backed up and ran away. "What a creep!" "I know, right? Who in their right mind would ever want to date someone like him?"

As they ran away past me, he then caught a glimpse of my hair disappearing behind the pillar. He totally just saw me. He's probably going to think that I'm a stalker who gets it off by observing people. I heard his footsteps approaching behind me, as I closed my eyes.

"Boo!" I jumped, tripping up and falling onto the ground. Good thing that the floor was dry! If not, my new dress would be ruined. "What on earth are you doing behind here?" I grumbled, looking right up at him. He then picked me up right into the air, and set me on my feet once again. Getting a good look at me from head to toe, he couldn't help but blush a little afterwards. "Where did you pull this dress out from? I never saw it in your wardrobe before..."

And I thought that I was the creep, who looks in people's wardrobes? "I bought it yesterday. Thought that I could treat myself to some pretty clothes since I got a great payday yesterday!" He tilted his head, curious. "How much?" I smiled. "216" "That's... a cute amount of-" "Thousand."

His eyes went wide. "Hold on, what?" I smiled. "216 thousand... 430." He chuckled and smiled. "Guess that I don't need to pay today." I shook my head. "Stop trying to make me feel better. I know that you get more every month than that. Maybe double, who knows?" He smiled and then took my hand, to my surprise.

"My 12 hours in the company of the rich Anna Taylor commences now. And as for your role, I want you to be my date and go everywhere and accept everything that I do and give you. You follow my every command, understood?" I guess that a bet is a bet and a promise is a promise.

And that is how my first date with Eric Jackson started out. And little did I know what was going to happen during it... and after it.
