Chapter-4

(Third person POV)

Samuel sat down being tired after checking to make sure the artists left with their respective rides. Now there was only him, Ace, assistant manager Nim and Jack left and it was his duty to drop them off at their respective places. Jack and Ace, they both stayed together in a single apartment.

Jack then enters the studio after getting ready to leave.

“Where’s Ace?”, asks Jack.

“He said he'll be back after packing his things from the make-up room.”, replied Nim.

“What’s taking him so long? I thought he was with you.”, said Samuel.

“Well, I don’t know. I thought he was ready. Anyways, Thanks for dropping us home, Managers.”, said Jack.

“Ah... It’s not a problem. Make sure you guys rest well. Tomorrow we have a shoot in the countryside and it’ll probably be a long day. So, make sure to rest and be ready early alright.”, said Samuel.

"Hmm don’t worry. I’ll be ready but no guarantee about Ace. You know how he is. He won’t wake up even if the world’s ending.”, Jack says jokingly.

“Yeah even if you wake him up telling that the world is ending, he would probably be like ‘No No, I don’t want to wake up. Let the world end it’s all fine. Sleep is all I need' and just turn around and sleep. ”, says Samuel chatting happily.

All three of them laugh imagining the scene.

*ding ding*

The phone chimed indicating the sound of a text message received.

Samuel opens the text and checks the message from Ace and shouts, “Call the cops!”.

“What happened?”, asked both Nim and Jack in unison.

“I got an SOS from Ace. It’s an emergency. Jack call the cops and also inform the security to come to the make-up room. Nim come with me.”, said a hurried Samuel.

Both Samuel and Nim run towards the dressing room while Jack calls the cops and makes his way to the security station where the guards are placed.

As they reached the make-up room, they hear muffled voices.

“Why....didn’t it work?”

“No... Please...drop...”

“Why ...you...in love...me.”

“If you don’t love me. I won’t allow you to love anyone else in this life.”, said a shrieking voice as they reached the room.

This was followed by a loud sound of someone falling along with cries of pain. Samuel and Nim break into the room and find a woman with a knife and Ace on the floor bleeding and sobbing due to pain.

Samuel instinctively launches himself against the woman and tries to fight her down. He then knocks the knife out of her hands and he tries to hold her captive till the security reaches. But the woman puts up a tough fight making it difficult to hold her captive. She then knees Samuel in the gut and tries to make a run.

The security reaches just in time to catch the woman running away. Meanwhile, during this commotion, Nim rushes towards Ace and laid him down, and put pressure on the wound, trying his best in giving first aid and at the same time consoling him.

“It hurts...”, said Ace in a sobbing tone due to pain.

“I know... but please hold on.... you’ll be fine...hey Ace... stay with me!”, said Nim in shock while tapping his cheek, trying his best to make sure Ace stays conscious.

Security then takes the woman captive and restrains her in the adjacent room away from them, while Jack enters the room following the guards inside and he froze at the scene in front of him.

Nim then suddenly shouts, “Call an ambulance. Hurry, fast!”

Just then they hear the cop siren approaching the building.
