"Acting"

I saw....

I felt...

A soft cold wind breeze across my skin, ever so passing through every part of me. I felt... relaxed, watching the light ontop of the surface of the water shimmer ever so gently. It's as if I'm encompassed between comfort.

"W-wow... Jake, how'd you even find this? It's the best so far! Let's go to the sand!" I said with excitement, looking like a child. "Last one there is a rotten egg!" Sam said.

When we got to the sand, I took off my shoes and felt the soft, warm sand, burrying my feet under.

"It's been a long time since I've been in beaches." Sam said calmy while patting me.

"Really? Wow.. You don't really don't go outside of your house, don't ya?" I asked her.

"Heh, not much. Hey! Look at the two. They're such sweet siblings." Sam said.

Both Jade and Jake were playing with the sand joyfully, chasing each other.

"Yeah. I wonder how it feels to have a sibling.." I sighed.

"Then," Sam held my hand. "Pretend that I'm your sister." Sam said to me.

Some how, but I don't know why, I felt something burning on my face, making Sam confused. I was surprised.

"Th-thanks." I said to her.

"That's what friends do!" She smiled at me.

A little while later, Jade splashed Sam with sand.

"C'mon! Don't just sit there! Join us! You'll mi ss the fun!" Jade invited us.

"Ohoho, you'll pay for that! This. Means. War!"

The four of us played with the sand. Sam and I were the same team, while Jake and Jade were also on their own team. We had a battle.

"Let's get ready ro rumble!" Jake shouted.

We played, and played until we got tired.

"I'm hit!" Sam said.

"Oh no, Sam!" I tried to get to her.

"Hahahahaha! One down, one more to go!" Jade said while laughing.

I got hit on the head.

"I-I'm d-down!" I lied down looking weak and hit.

"Hannah!" Jade and Jake ran to me.

"I'm sorry, Hannah! I-I didn't mean to hit you! Please don't die!" Jake said. "B-but.. Before you leave us.. I.. I have a crush on you!" He shouted, then cried. Then, he tried to kiss me.

Sam started to giggle.

"Yo stop! I'm not gay!!!!!!!!!" Jade shouted.

He didn't realize that Jade and I exchanged places and acted.

Sam, Jade, and I laughed.

"Was that for real?! You could've seen your face!" Sam laughed.

"Wh-what? I-I was just.. A-acting y-you know!" Jake covered his face and blushed. All of us couldn't stop laughing. But I was wondering..

'Were all of those true..?' I thought to myself. 'I should really need to get to know them closer.'

It was already late night, we were on our way to our home.

"Today was really fun!" I giggled.

"Yeah! Especially that part when he tried to kiss Jade but he really thought it was Hannah!" Sam laughed with Jade and I.

"Sh-shut up! I was just acting, you know!" Jake said.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Sam said.
