Chapter 3: Kai's POV

All I can remember is that girl who was staring at me while I was performing… Well, that was not at all weird, I have seen many girls fixing their gaze on me but, this time it was different… 

The first time she caught my attention was when I was waiting for my part to come to join in the performance.  She was looking at me as if she has nothing to do with other members. I observed that throughout our performance, all her attention was only on me.

I thought, it might be my illusion, how can anyone be so focused on only one, there are so many good looking men here on the stage. This war of thoughts was running in my mind until I heard everyone talk about the same staring girl and I realized it was not just my imagination. I left a deep sigh after I confirmed it was not just an illusion.

The Fan meeting event was about end, only a few people were left to deal with. But there was no trace of this girl, who took away my peace of mind... Then I assumed maybe she left without waiting for her turn as it would have taken a long time and she would have been late if waited to meet us… with a sigh, I hung my head down in disappointment.

Suddenly, I heard Baekhyun saying – "You two are that staring girl's friends right…" 

I raised my head when I heard him talking about the girl I was thinking vigorously so far. They were talking to everyone one by one, as they were the last fans who were left in the line. At last, they came to my side; I looked at them with a smiley face – but my mind was full of so many questions about her. The most important thing that was running in my mind was why she didn't come here to see me and other members.

I asked them the same. Both just got panicked for once, then, a girl named Chandana said – "Swathi was feeling sick, so she didn't come… she said she would wait for us in the auditorium until we come back."

I got a little relieved for some reason, but, why? I don't know… I got surprised at my own behavior. Then again, I asked –"what did you just say her name is?"

The girl named Dohee said –"her name is Swathi…"

"s… wa… thi… Swathi…" I muttered unknowingly. Continued –"What is the meaning of this name? And where are you guys from?"

Chandana said –"we are from India… Dohee unnie is from here itself… and as for her name's meaning… she has her own theory and a tale that she keeps on saying all the time… It would be really nice if you hear it in her own voice… she explains it very well than me… but as for now, I will say the short and well-known meaning of her name… Swathi is the name of the star which comes in Indian astrology of stars and it is also an important star which is connected to nature." 

"Wow... a star… okay, I got it…" I said. Then they left taking my autograph by bidding farewell to all of us. 

Everyone talked about Swathi and saying one or the other thing and teasing to me…

Chanyeol said –"Hyaa… JONG-INA… What have you done to that poor little girl? She didn't even blink her eyes while she was staring at you back then…"

Baekhyun said –"Yeah man… How can someone in our EXO-L be like that, she didn't even have a second glance on any of us…?"

Sehun said while getting up from where he was seated –"Yeah, that's what I am saying… she didn't even look at me, C'mon I'm the Maknae (youngest) here and most handsome and sexy one… how can she do that to me?"

Suho (Junmyeon) hyung said, trying to make Sehun calm himself down… "Calm down… Sehun-aa… Everyone has their own choices and preferences; you can't go and change everyone's thinking right…?"

Sehun nodded for the same and sat down back again.

Xiumin (Minseok) Hyung said –"but that girl is really something… she came all over from India to here, just to see him to the fullest and didn't even came to meet him in the fan meeting…"

Chanyeol continued –"Yeah, whereas her friends Chandana and Dohee came to meet us here…"

"You still remember their name, especially that foreign girl, what did you say her name is… Chandana… right…" Chen (jongdae) Hyung said in a teasing tone.

Chanyeol said –"Aaah Hyung… It's not like that… her name is kind of resembles mine… Chandana, Chanyeol… we both have a few things in common… chan – chan… That's why I remember her name clearly… and she is indeed unique among them… Upon that she said she loved rapping… even rapped few lines of Eminem… she was really good…"

D.O (Kyungsoo) said –"yeah… I can see that, you really liked her, when you saw her rapping back then…"  

As they were busy teasing each other, I was simply sitting there and thinking, "What is happening to me? Why am I feeling like I am going to miss something soon? Why am I having this empty feeling inside me all of a sudden…?"

"Why didn't she come to see me? When she had such a great opportunity to meet me…?" I talked my mind out; soon as I realized it I covered my mouth with embarrassment… 

Everyone looked at my direction and silence covered the whole room at once. Sadly, it didn't last for long and all burst out laughing really hard…

Baekyun said still laughing –"I was thinking until now, why this guy is so silent and here you go… well, well… I must say you didn't disappoint me…"

Chanyeol came near me and said, wiping out his tears –"if you are worried about her so much, why don't you do one thing… just go directly to her and ask her…"

I wore a pouty face when he said so…

"Yeah… He is right, and come to think of it, she is your first ever fan girl who is so calm and composed even after seeing you…" Xiumin said patting my back…

Thinking of which, I did realize what Minseok hyung said, no doubt, it is the truth… I have never seen such a calm and silent girl in my life or I can say I have never noticed anyone and moreover nobody did ever bother me as she does… and her staring was not like a usual one… it gave me some sort of warmness, and it does make me calm myself down when I recall her eyes which were on me.

In the end, I couldn't control my urge to see her and rushed out of the room, without tiding myself up… in the stage costume itself…

I found Swathi, and she was talking with her friends, they were all alone in that huge auditorium… though I didn't hope them to be there, luck was on my side today…

I came and stood behind her, Chandana and Dohee saw me, but I gestured them not to react and continue the play… at last, everything went well…

She was indeed a really good person like my intuition told me… I could feel some sort of warmth which made me forget everything and calm the wandering mind down.

I got her number… though I had my phone in my pocket, as I wanted to be in touch with her, I even lied that I didn't bring my phone with me… We finished talking and we parted our ways…

I was recalling her cuteness, and that blushing face of her, the way she talked, the way she was apologizing to me… she completely captured me with her amicable personality. This feeling is really new to me… although I dated some girls before, I never came across such feeling… her presence makes me feel at home… this kind of feeling… I want to be in this until it lasts…

Finally, we reached our dorms. We all gathered in the living area after freshening up, to spend some time with each other. Nobody asked me anything about why I ran in such a rush… all of them were literally silent and serious, as if, they want me to explain everything regarding my behavior.

I stood in front them and started to speak –"guys… I know, what I did was really not suitable for people like us… but, I just didn't want to miss the chance of seeing her and even I didn't know whether I can ever see her again in my life, as she was not from here, who knows if she would have got her last days here, and before leaving she wanted to see us performing with her own eyes from real close… So, I just took my chance and rushed out…" I looked at them while giving a small pause… 

Everyone had a really serious look on their face, so I continued –"Although I had no hopes of seeing her, I just wanted to take the chance and believe in my intuition for once… so I rushed out to the auditorium and luckily, I got to see her…" I took a deep breath and stopped talking…

Everyone suddenly started to laugh in perfect sync… I was literally puzzled to see their reaction…

Suho Hyung said –"we knew you will explain everything to us if we keep looking as if we are really serious, so we continued to act all along…"

Chanyeol said –"why don't you invite her and her friends to meet us tomorrow… anyhow, we're having a day off tomorrow after few daily sessions…"

I looked at Chanyeol with a pearl-clutching look in my face.

"yeah… we have not gotten to meet your girl yet… and like that, we can also ask her about her explanation and reason for such behavior at the concert… right guys…??" with that Baekhyun started to laugh loudly…

"My girl…!" I said with a surprised look.

"Yup… we have accepted her as your girl, anyhow she has no interest in any of us here except you… you are also having no sign of leaving soon… at least I can't see that…" Baekhyun said teasingly…

Hyaa hyung… stop it… it's not like that she does like all of you too… and there is nothing between us… she is just… I am just…" I couldn't find words to fill further…

"Okay then… it's confirmed… tomorrow we will meet them..." Suho said.

Everyone just nodded for the same with a bright and cheerful face.

I called her as I walked towards my room. She picked my call without any delay. It was really noisy outside, and I guess because of that my voice was not audible to her clearly. So I rushed inside the room and shut the door.

Phone call with her really went smoothly; she even agreed to come with her friends. At first purposefully, to tease her I asked her, if she can come alone, she was all hesitating and soon I sensed it and said she can come with her friends and told her it was Chanyeol's idea to invite them. She seemed really happy hearing that.. she said, she can come with her friends to meet EXO members... I can see how much she loves her friends; she can't go alone leaving them behind...

I am really looking forward to see what kind of girl she is and learn about her. I want to know about her and her life... Thoughts like these were flooding, as if, it has no end. Didn't realize when I fell asleep.

Next morning, I woke up and saw messages from her. Though I hardly check my phone usually, today my hand automatically reached my phone for some reason.

I checked the message she sent, it was the selfies we took yesterday at the concert. So, she remembered about that... I saw that image, she was as cute as a little puppy looking at his master.

I went through her account, I can see hundreds of pictures of mine and her's and status, which were as if she is addressing to me... When I went through her account, I was like she is really something, she doesn't mind me seeing all those messages which she posted like a year ago, maybe she forgot to hide it from me, knowing that I started to giggle.

I took a quick shower and went to have breakfast. Everyone gathered one by one and finished having breakfast. I was really energetic as first thing in the morning I saw was something which was very refreshing...

We finished with our daily session and we were all sitting in the rehearsal room, and everyone seemed to be in a relaxed mood. I smiled to myself, looking at everyone slouching around as if they have no worries.

My phone vibrated when I was busy with my own thought. My attention averted towards my phone and it was a message from her saying they are leaving their house now and will be there in a few minutes. Another message came following that message, and it was a selfie of her, in which she looked really cute, especially her eyes... Those eyes of hers, attract me like anything... And this brought a smile on my face again. I was so lost in her, that I didn't realize someone's eyes were on me and on my phone already... I found Chanyeol peeking at my phone...

"Ho... That's why you were smiling all by yourself like an idiot from that time..." With that, he took my phone to show everyone, I went behind him to grab my phone back... 

But he stopped me with his one hand and continued saying -"Okay guys, be ready, they will be here at any moment, if at all we would have trusted this idiot, we would have faced difficulties already... He got this message a few minutes ago, still, he was busy at looking at his girl rather than informing us..."

Everyone got alert and their celebrity mode was on by now...

I snatched my phone from Chanyeol and said -" oh please... I was about to inform you all... Just that I saw her message just now and was taking time to understand her message, that's all..."

"Yeah, yeah... You would have... After they enter this room..." Chanyeol said in a teasing tone.

He sure knows how to pick on me... I couldn't argue further as I got call from Swathi...

"I think they are here" by saying that, I received her call.
