It’s time

(Nova side)

It was New Years Eve 5:30pm in the afternoon. I took a nap and when I woke up I went into the kitchen and saw Henry cooking in my kitchen and then I see my mom going crazy with pots and pans...

Nova: "whaoo mom. Relax. What’s with all the commotion and pots and pans flying around?..and hello Henry I see that your in my kitchen.....cooking with my mom?......(I point to Henry looking confues) Why???"

Henry: (in a fast pace) "oh hey Nova! Ahm long short story...we’re having dinner at your place."

(I was surprised to hear that answer and looked over at my mom squinting my eyes)

Mom: "Nova good your here. Come stir this quickly before it burns! Quickly!"

(I quickly walked over to her and took over stirring some kind of brown liquid)

Nova: "ahhh please tell me we aren’t eating this?"

Mom: "its the gravy sweetheart. Its almost done. Henry’s parents are out of town for an work emergency and I thought it would be a great idea to have them over for dinner and hangout for New Years. Ohhh shoot! I need to go check on Rome and Sunhee in the dinning room with the setup with the boys. The gravy should done soon, when the timmer rings take it off the stove! (Runs out of the kitchen to Rome and Sunhee)."

Nova: "I swear to god I only took a 3 hour nap."

Henry: (chuckles) "Technically 4hrs. We’ve been here since 1pm."

*timmer goes off\, beep beep beep*

(Nova takes the pot off the stove and set it to the side)

Nova: "Well I slept pretty good then for missing all this noise. But do you need anymore help? I’m free now."

Henry: *lights bulbs*  "yes you can!!! We’re all here expect Theo do you mind going over and tell him dinner will be ready soon."

Nova: "Ohh. I ahhhmm don’t..." (Henry cuts me off)

Henry: " please Nova! I got my hands tied with the turkey and when this bell rings I have to take it out exactly or it will lose it flavor and you know me when I start to cook and nothings comes out the way I want..." (Nova cuts him off)

Nova: "alright alright I get it. I’ll go. It’s better than listening to you complain about your food."

Henry: "Thank you! Theo should be in his room but if he’s not try the pool. He’s been hanging out there sometimes. Ohh (takes out the house keys and gives it to Nova) the doors are locked."

Nova: "right....I’ll be back then" (takes the keys)

(I left the kitchen and put on my shoes and grabbed my coat and walked over to find Theo)

I didn’t think much of it but my only job is to tell him dinner is ready and come back. I’ll just say it quickly and go. Yeah. I got this. I unlocked the door and walked in and closed the door behind me. I looked around and many memories ran across my head.

Nova: "Wow, it’s been awhile since I last came inside and nothings changed."

I can see a pictures of their family and even my family when we younger. I walked upstairs knowing where I was going because I would always go straight to him first before anyone. Because I wanted to see him. As I walk closer to his room *thump bump* I was getting nervous all of the sudden. I place my hand on the doorknob and I hesitated......I took a deep breath and let it out and I open the door and my eyes searched for him but the room was empty. I looked around walking in slowly smiling in relief. His room is still the same....I can see pictures of us around his wall. I stood there looking at these old photos and there was one that stood out. I touched it...it was us at the beach before he was going to leave. I remember now.....he held my hand and he never let go. It was the day he kissed me.

Nova: (in a sad mesmerizing tone and I smiled a littled) "I wonder...if someday you’ll be my side and tell me that the world isn’t so bad."

*rings rings*

Surprised by the sound I took out my phone and saw Henry’s name and picked up his call....

Nova: "he’s not in his room."

Henry: "then he should be in the indoor pool. Next to the kitchen."

I hung up and went back downstairs to the pool. I can see the glass doors. Before opening the door I can feel my heart tightening and I ignored it as I can see him floating in the pool but then he suddenly sinks into the water. I open the door and walked slowly seeing if he was going to come back up....I saw his towel on the ground and I picked it up and its been a minute and I got littled scared as I walked closer to the stairs by the water and *splash* Theo comes up. I can see his back. His bare light tan skin as he slipping his hair back and wiping his face. He was walking backwards and I was mesmerized by how taller he was getting by walking back. He has muscles. My eyes widen as he turned his face towards me....wow...how handsome he’s gotten. Oh no! I can see it! He has a 6pack! A 6packs!!!!! They way he came out of the pool was as if he was a freaking gorgeous model in slow motion!!! I was in shock. Mom was right my heart skip a beat....again and again and again. But he doesn’t see me? Why? Before I knew it I had forgotten what I was doing and I used the towel I had in my hand and slightly pushed it forward hitting his face. When he finally looked up at me. I can see his eyes....he looked like he was scared of something. I was lost for words so I could only come up with his line from before.

Nova: "hey, it has been awhile."
