‘Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3.’

The tape began, a young man, around twenty-nine, stood in a dark, garage room. He stood in front of robotic structure, ending halfway up his torso.

‘Hello, my name is Vincent Smith. This is day fifty of building BunBun. As you can see, I am trying to make a life-sized animatronic. It will be able to run fifty mile per hour, crouch, jump and open doors. I am making it for the restaurant BunBun’s Party House. It’s been my dream ever since I was a kid to make something like this; a robot who can make decisions of its own. I have no bad intentions about this and I believe that it will be a very good mascot.’

The tape then went static. When it turned on again, Vincent had black stains on his face from manufacturing the animatronic. He looked super excited and BunBun had been all painted and fully made.

‘Day one thousand, one hundred and twenty-three. It is finally finished. BunBun has been successfully made. Now I just need to test him out to see if it works. Are you ready?’ Vincent walked over to the animatronic and pressed a button. ‘It should move on its own accords any minute now.’

After a solid fifty-five seconds, the robot moved. He jumped up and down in joy, super happy.

‘Yes! It worked! It worked!’

Suddenly, BunBun’s mouth dropped open, his body numb as he powered off. Vincent looked at it, his smile fading.

‘Oh, I think that something might have disconnected in his mouth before he started to sing. Just let me fix that real quick.’

He walked over and put his head in its mouth.

‘Ah, I see it. One of its connectors popped out. I’ll just have to screw that-’

Before he could finish his sentence, BunBun’s mouth fell down, decapitating him. The police officer turned off the tape, looking at Oliver.

‘That’s all I have about your father, Oliver,’ sighed the police officer, not wanting to be interrogated much longer.

Brookside Highschool

‘Wait up Lauren,’ said Rachel.

Lauren looked at Rachel, still panting from trying to catch up to Lauren.

‘Hi Rachel, sorry I didn’t hear you running behind,’ said Lauren walking up to Rachel.

‘Nah it’s fine, don’t just walk as fast,’ chuckled Rachel.

‘Anyways we should probably go to form class as we know how Mrs. Bell is when people are late,’ said Lauren.

Lauren and Rachel walked up three flights of stairs to the Maths department as that was where their form room was.

‘You’re late girls,’ said Mrs. Bell sternly, with a frown.

‘Sorry Mrs. Bell,’ said Lauren and Rachel in unison.

‘Anyways go to your seats girls,’ sternly spoke Mrs. Bell.

Lauren and Rachel walked over to their seats and sat down.

‘I thought miss smarty would be early for class,’ said a familiar voice behind Lauren.

Lauren turned around to see Mike sitting behind her hands behind his head.

‘Oh shut up Mike,’ said Lauren, glaring at him.

‘ I guess someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed,’ said Mike.

Lauren rolled her eyes and turned around to face the front of the class room.

Ding Ding Ding!

‘Ok Class you can all pack up your things and leave quietly !’ emphasised Mrs. Bell.

Lauren packed up her things and walked over to Rachel who had already started walking towards the door.

Lauren ran up to Rachel in the Hall way.

‘Hey wait up Rach’ panted Lauren.

Rachel turned to see Lauren running up to her still panting.

‘Guess you’re not the only one who is fast,’ chuckled Rachel.

‘Guess not,’ smiled Lauren.

Suddenly they heard someone running up behind them.

They turned around to see Mike running with one of his friends.

‘Wait up guys, I have someone you guys need to meet,’ shouted Mike.

Lauren and Rachel stopped Walking so that Mike could catch up to them.

‘Is it another one of your weirdo friends’ said Lauren.

‘No,’said Mike pushing someone in front of him.

‘Meet Oscar,’ said Mike smiling.

‘Hi,’ muffled Oscar.

‘Hi,’ said Lauren and Rachel in unison.

‘I wanted to ask you guys if he can join us tonight in our meeting about jobs,’ said Mike looking at Lauren.

‘Fine, as long as you don’t scream like last time you brought your friends,’ said Lauren.

‘I won’t,’ said Mike.

Later on at Laurens house

‘Anyways did you all remember your computers and phones,’ said Lauren.

‘Yes !’ shouted Mike, Rachel and Oscar unison.

‘Quiet it down guys my little brother is sleeping,’ sternly spoke Lauren.

‘Ok,’ said Mike, Rachel and Oscar.

‘Anyways you guys ready,’ said Lauren.

‘I’m ready,’ chanted Rachel.

‘We are also ready,’ said Mike.

‘Ok anyways, start in 3..2..1, GO!’ shouted Lauren quietly.

A few minutes passed before they found any good jobs.

Lauren found a pet sitting job, but they all said no!

Rachel found a hair cutting job, but Oscar was the only one who found it cool.

Oscar found a school assistant job but everyone disagreed.

‘At this rate we will never find any good jobs to make money,’ said Rachel head resting one her right hand.

‘Yeah,’ said Lauren and Oscar in unison with a frown.

‘Wait guys I found something,’ said Mike excitedly.

‘What is it now, gaming,’ said Lauren glaring.

‘No, but that would be fun,’ muttered Mike.

‘Than what is it ?’ said Rachel.

‘It’s a video, so you guys need to watch it,’ said Mike, turning his Laptop around.

The video

The video withered before it showed a man wearing a suit with brown, short curly hair.

The man said, ‘Have you ever had a dream to work with animitronics, if yes than you should apply for this job’.

‘Here at Bun Buns party house we like to put smiles on kids faces,’ said the man.

‘But we are short on staff, so we need for four people age ranging from fifteen to twenty to apply as secruity guards,’ happily said the man.

‘You will get five million each for staying a full week at Bun Buns party house,’ said the man.

‘Anyways that’s all, if you want to apply let us know as soon as possible,’ said the man.

‘I don’t know that sounds risky,’ muttered Lauren.

‘I will do it the mans a hear me out,’ said Rachel.

Lauren sharply nudged Rachel.

‘What ?’ said Rachel looking at Lauren.

‘You don’t know how old that guy is, plus he might be some physco killer,’ said Lauren glaring at Rachel.

Rachel rolled her eyes and looked at Oscar, ‘So Oscar what do you think,’said Rachel raising her eyebrow.

‘ I think it sounds cool and risky at the same time, but I don’t mind,’ said Oscar.

‘Come on Oscar and Lauren don’t be such party poopers,’said Mike.

‘It’s risky Mike,’said Lauren.

‘ I will probably do it,’said Oscar.

‘That’s the spirit,’said Mike excitedly.

It took awhile before they could confince Lauren to do it, but they eventually did.

Little did they know they might be making a big mistake….!
