Chapter 1

I looked at Jessica on my arms as tears began to run down my eyes,seeing the blood on her face brought back the memory of the way our parents died..

I began to scream till I couldn't even hear my voice.

Jessica touched my cheeks,her hands were as soft as pillows as she said her last words to me.

“P...please promise me you will survive this and move on."

I said nothing to her as she took her last breath and died.

I picked her up and gently took her towards a nearby village with tears in my eyes,I cried so hard and suddenly it felt like a rope snapped in me...

I began to laugh in a menacing way as I kept saying “I'll kill everyone!!!"

I walked to the village front and collapsed..

I could hear people walking towards up before I lost consciousness

3hours ago...

I stared out to the moon thinking of my parents and how we used to stare at the moon together,it made me feel they were still with me.

Suddenly a huge bang at the door snapped me out of my daydreams I hurried towards the door and looked out the broken door hole.

It was my elder sister;Jessica,I hurriedly opened the door as she rushed in and shut the door with a loud bang.

She seemed to be running from someone,I was confused to why she was in a hurry.

She sat down panting,I asked her what was going on and she said

“Davis,We are going to die if we don't leave quickly"

I was shocked and confused

“Jessica what are u talking about?and where and who are u running from"

She explained that she was running from some mercenaries she watched kill a young man right before her eyes.

She said they saw her run and chased after her...

We began to hear sounds of a car pulling up in front of out house.

I peeped from the window and I saw they all had guns with them...

I immediately picked up my car keys and alerted my sister...

She rushed to the kitchen,packed up some food and our parents pic and we left the house through the back window...

We immediately took off...

The mercenaries were hot on our tails we drove till we got to an empty bridge...

They began shooting at us I got scared...

“We are gonna die,mum and dad asked us to protect each other but now we both are gonna die!!!!!"I screamed with tears in my eyes didn't notice the incoming truck.

“Davis!!!"Jessica screamed my name to no avail...

The car tipped over and fell down the bridge...

I blacked out...

I opened my eyes and it felt like I thousand rocks where dumped on my head...

I was bleeding everywhere.

I got up and realised we were washed up to the sea banks...

I searched for my sister but when I finally found her...

Her face was ripped with glass in her wounded skin her left hand was split from her body she was stabbed various times at vital spots there was blood everywhere..

I was dumbfounded...

I lost my balance and fell to the ground in tears...

She looked at me...

Her eyes were pale,she was moving her lips in a manner as though she was trying to say something to me...

I picked up her left arm and walked towards her...picked her head up gently and placed it on my laps then she said

“My time is already up,I...i can see the light I can't...I can't believe am finally going to see mum and dad,Sorry my little brother I guess you are on your own from now on,I was hoping to have kids before I go..."

She began to cough out blood

“Please stop saying stupid things you fool!!!we are going home together"

I said crying

“Little brother don't cry,you have cried too much when mom and dad died,please don't cry for me...you know we always fought...

I regret not spending more time with you while I had the chance"she cried

“Stop being so stupid and preserve your energy!!!"

I said trying to cover up the cuts on her body...
