Avantika's POV
"What are you talking about?" I asked him, confused.
"Well, when I arrived at this party, I saw a cat outside in a small valley beside the café. So I went there and saw her with someone, talking about drugs."
"What? Drugs?" I wasn’t expecting this at all from her. Even though she wasn’t very nice from the beginning, I still didn’t think she would do drugs.
"I think she was buying from that guy."
"But when you heard all of this... you didn’t say anything to her? Or ask?"
"Why would I care to even ask her?"
"Do you care now, after I told you about my story?"
"Yes, I do care."
"Oh." That was the only thing that came out of my mouth because I definitely wasn’t expecting a yes.
"So what are we going to do about it?" I was confused. How are we going to prove people are selling and buying drugs here?
"Don’t worry about that, love. Just watch the drama that’s about to start in five minutes," he said confidently.
Five minutes? Did he already plan something? I don’t know, but I trust him on this. He went somewhere while on a call and returned in two minutes.
"Let’s go downstairs," he ordered, and I followed him.
After three minutes, a small force of police entered the café. They went straight to her and arrested her. Along with her, they arrested more of my classmates who were buying drugs—and the seller too.
I looked around and realized that everyone was taking videos of her and posting them online. For the first time ever, I saw her embarrassed and scared.
After the drama, everyone just went back to normal. I asked Nisarg how he even did that, and he simply said he sent the CCTV footage to the police.
But how did he even get the footage? I mean... no café just shows or gives out their footage or information to anyone.
When the party ended, everyone said their goodbyes and went home. I was outside the café, looking for a cab, but I wasn’t getting one.
Then a Mercedes-Benz Maybach pulled up in front of me—and it was him.
"Get in. I’ll drop you home," he said with a smile. But he had already helped me enough with the whole Sam thing, so I couldn’t just take his help every time.
"It’s fine. I’ll wait a few more minutes and try again to book," I replied.
"Get in, or I’ll come out and pick you up myself."
He looked serious. He wasn’t joking. I just went and sat in the passenger seat.
"Good girl."
What the hell? What did he just say? My cheeks flushed, but I said nothing about it, and he started driving.
I wanted to ask him something, but I wasn’t sure if I should—after all, I’m just his old classmate, right? But I asked anyway.
"Do you have a girlfriend?" I asked, waiting patiently for an answer.
"If I had a girlfriend, you wouldn’t be sitting here beside me in my car."
"Oh, that’s right." I was kind of happy after hearing that... but why am I happy?
