Let’s get started
Kim Mansion – Afternoon, fitting room
(Victor sits in front of a mirror. Designers bustle around him with sketches and fabric swatches.)
Victor nods absently, his eyes drifting to the door.
Kim Victor (V)
(thinking)
“Why do I keep expecting him to walk in? Why do I want him here when I know it’ll destroy us both?”
Door opens quietly. Jeongguk steps in, disguised in a cap and mask. The designers bow politely before leaving at Victor’s signal.
Kim Victor (V)
(low voice)
You shouldn’t be here, Gguk.
Jeon Jeongguk
(pulling mask down, his voice trembling)
And let them dress you for his wedding? While I suffocate in the shadows?
Kim Victor (V)
(reaches for his hand, firm)
Don’t. Don’t make me weaker than I already am.
Jeon Jeongguk
(eyes wet, whispering)
Tiger… I can’t breathe knowing you’ll belong to my brother. Why can’t we run away? Why can’t you choose us?
Kim Victor (V)
(closes eyes, resting forehead against his)
Because some things can’t exist in the light. Because I’d rather lose myself than destroy you.
Jeongguk’s tears fall, his hand clutching Victor’s tightly.
Jeon Tower – Jungkook’s office, night. The city glows outside his glass walls.
Jeon Jungkook
(coldly)
Cancel Versace. Get Givenchy. Their silhouette fits Victor better.
Secretary bows, hurrying out. Jungkook leans back, gaze fixed on the engagement photo on his desk—Victor smiling, his hand in Jungkook’s.
Jeon Jungkook
(thinking)
“This marriage… maybe it’s my chance. For once, I won’t be just Jeon Jungkook, the cold heir. Maybe… he’ll stay. Maybe he’ll love me.”
Door opens softly. Jeongguk enters, shoulders tense but smiling faintly.
Jeon Jungkook
(softening instantly)
Ggukie. You should be resting.
Jeon Jeongguk
(forcing a smile)
I just… wanted to see you. Big day’s coming.
Jungkook stands, pulls Jeongguk into an embrace, hand protective on his back like a parent comforting a child.
Jeon Jungkook
(low voice)
You don’t need to worry. I’m fine. For the first time in years… I finally feel like I’ll have what I always wanted.
Jeon Jeongguk
(clenching fist behind his back, whispering)
…And what is that, hyung?
Jeon Jungkook
(smiles faintly, eyes softening)
Love.
Jeongguk’s chest tightens, guilt twisting inside him. He hides his face against Jungkook’s shoulder.
Jeon–Kim family dinner, luxury hotel ballroom. Chandeliers glow, journalists murmur outside.
(Victor enters with perfect poise. Cameras flash. Jungkook rises from the head of the table.)
Jeon Jungkook
(to Victor, quietly as he offers his arm)
You look handsome tonight.
Kim Victor (V)
(forcing a small smile)
Thank you, President Jeon.
Jeon Jungkook
Jungkook (corrects softly, just for him)
Not President. Just Jungkook. Your future husband.
Victor’s lips curve, but his gaze betrays his storm.
Dinner table, wedding sketches being laid out.
Planner
For the altar look, we recommend a white-on-cream palette. Timeless. Elegant.
Jeon Jungkook
(studying sketches)
Victor prefers sharp cuts. Adjust the silhouette to his shoulders. And the reception suit—make it darker, bold. He deserves to stand out.
Victor freezes, surprised at Jungkook’s attention to detail.
Kim Victor (V)
(thinking)
“…Why does he notice things no one else does? Why does he look at me like that—as if he’s searching for something deeper?”
Later that night – parking lot. Cameras gone. Jungkook holds the car door for Victor.
Jeon Jungkook
A drive? Just us. I thought you might need some air.
Victor hesitates, then nods. Inside the car, Seoul’s skyline glitters beyond the windows.
Jeon Jungkook
(quietly)
You don’t talk much. But I like that about you. Silence doesn’t scare me.
Kim Victor (V)
(glances sideways)
And what does?
Jungkook’s jaw tightens. For once, his voice cracks beneath the armor.
Jeon Jungkook
Being unwanted.
Victor’s chest twists. For a fleeting second, he sees the lonely child beneath the ruthless heir. And it scares him—because part of him wants to give Jungkook the love he craves, even while his heart belongs to another.
New York, Taehyung’s apartment. The screen of his laptop glows with endless wedding articles.
Tae sketches wedding gowns restlessly, hands trembling. Each stroke feels like carving into his own heart.
Kim Taehyung
(thinking)
“You’ll never know, Jungkook. You’ll never know how long I’ve loved you, how many nights I dreamed of standing beside you. Even if I’m just a shadow… my heart was always yours.”
He drops the pencil, tears staining the paper. The sound of wedding bells from a nearby church drifts faintly through the window. A cruel echo of what awaits.
